Of those two, I prefer TSL's... it seems cleaner in my opinion. I do like the "Recruitment Image" type of thing, but sometimes there's nothing like the edit-ability of plain 'ole text.

7/10 Could use some more pictures, imo. But other than that, looks like a good clan, and I liked the banner. I wonder what will happen to Entrana... those poor monks'll be like... "AHHHHHHH!" The Trollheim teleport mountain could provide mutli-level combat... rangers and mages worth their salt would be wise to take advantage of all the higher ground that will now be available. I'd personally like to take Llyeta, for myself. That'd be cool.

A swear word here or there, on a particularly frustrating occasion, is perfectly acceptable in my opinion, in our clan atmosphere. Swearing at random... and in excess... is not. I'm not going to tolerate a two word post where one is the f-bomb, I'll go ahead and delete that... but... in a long post with valid points, if my members feel the need to vent their frustration with an obscene word... I think we can handle it. Racism is a different issue in my opinion, using a racial slur, or being generally derogatory towards an individual... or a race as a whole, is never appropriate, and should never, under any circumstances be tolerated.

While I prefer "Crystal Legion" to anything else up there... the previous statement about Crystal does apply... Perhaps "Diamond Legion". Nothing beats that combination of carbon.

Still manages to pull members to an allies event, even in the middle of re-vamping your leadersip system. Speaking of that leadership system, I love the name.. or the old name "Triumvir". theinstinct.net ^Still Instinct

In their update JaGex did say that "99%" of the map will be PvP combat available, so I'm assuming that banks, and maybe even the GE will be safe, even on these PvP worlds. I'm really looking forward to this update, it introduces a whole new aspect to clan events... "Take Falador", etc. Though I imagine major cities will be horribly over-crowded... I think that places like Burthorpe, Taverly, Llyeta, and the Fremmy Islands will still be reasonably empty. I too am looking forward to the skiller/Pker minigame. Hope those 70+ armours aren't too hard to get... nothing like 3rd Age I hope. They might, here's hoping, be decent looking.

Quite a pair of wars there. Congratz on the wins. However, I'm not sure that by saying you "were able to relinquish our lead, putting the fight out of LPT's reach" you've phrased that correctly. You may have regained your lead... but relinquish doesn't sound right there.

That avatar (clan symbol) is awesome! Was it made specifically for Tal or just found and used? I'm Instinct, btw.

Quite some war... particularly enjoyed the additions to the RS screenshots (DA and the like). Gratz on the victory. Is that image, by chance, a very obese dog?

Seems that I am the first to congratulate 2M on their victory. Nice turnout to both clans, particularly UBH. Somewhat glad that UBH won Round 4 against Instinct, otherwise we'd have been pummeled. 43 2M members vs (assuming we matched our record) 24 I members would have been a short war.

Instinct uses the Future Applicant rank as a brief example of how the member will act when in the actual clan. Applicants that do not meet the clan requirements can register and be a Future Applicant, so that they can enjoy the community our forums provide while they're training to become a clan member. The main reason we introduced a Future Applicant process into our forum was the fact that we sometimes deleted "Members" that were on vacation, or something similar, when doing an inactive sweep to remove recent applicants who had not posted in a reasonable amount of time. In order to remove some of the "Hating the wait" downside to our Future App system, the "Future Applicant" forum mask is nearly identical to the "Member" forum mask on our forum.

First clan was named the "Knights of Glory". Which stayed around for about a year... I want to say a year and a half. Clan died out when the leader left to form a new clan, so I went with him. So that was Eternal Darkness... which was also around for about a year... maybe a year and a half. Then we merged with some allies, No Remorse to become Instinct, which is currently my clan. Instinct has been around for about 7-8 months.

To be added to Lakster's response to this: Instinct allows members to join a "team" that performs a function that Instinct (the clan) does not. For example, Instinct has never been to Pest Control, as a clan, so for members that would like to Pest Control seriously, we allow them "teams". Similarly to TSA, as long as Instinct comes first, they can remain on the team. Personally, I see "teams" the way many of you seem to, clans that don't want to violate another clans' rules by declaring itself a clan. Unfortunately, as with another response here; Instinct can't go as far as to ban "teaming" as we feel that at least some of our valued members might leave us to go join a "team" instead.

In my experience, however limited, they possess a different kind of organization. Recently we had a RSB clan declare war on us in our clan chat, and being a Off-Site Forum clan, we attempted to send them to our forum and declare properly (to us). We asked them to produce a memberlist, Runehead or something at least similar. They obviously didn't understand what we meant, got aggravated that we didn't decide on details there and then, and began flaming us. That is, regrettably my only experience with RSB clans, I hope they're not all like that. I can't imagine that they have a chance at the kind of organization that Off-Site Forum clans can produce, as (in my example) they do not keep a list of their members.

Have any of you gotten spammers advertising the sale of drugs/prescriptions? Those, and their naughty picture posting brethren did quite a number on our forums for quite some time... they seem to have stopped as of recent, thank goodness.

The "E" of Rune seems to be being deleted as I type, I just don't have enough ink to combat this menace!

Zetaboards' Administration Control Panel sorts everything out very nicely, neatly. It's easy to find stuff, and you can do a lot with the layout, make it your own. Though we have yet to make use of some of the features to their full extent (like Administration Assistants) it's good to know that they thought those things out, and gave us the options. Personal favorites include the Joinable Groups feature... decent alternative to creating forum ranks for each different sub-group. My experience with InvisionFree was nice, but each clan site I went to; the skins were pretty much the same, but with different colors... Zetaboards is a nice change from that (or at least Instinct's forum is).

Umm... not that I'm the first person to notice this.. but 8/9, the date scheduled above, is past the 8/5 final round deadline...

Yeah. That's another record. Most members to participate in a war. Worst defeat ever too... 25 - 0... horrid. It makes me feel bad.

Instinct's war date and time has been changed from Friday July 25th to Sunday July 27th. The time is now 5:00pm EDT. Rules remain the same.

Instinct's war with UBH will take place on Friday, July 25th, 2008 at 4 Eastern time. Rules: Melee and Binds allowed. No Ranged No Magic (includes cursing) Standard Middle Boundaries (4 walls, extending to the jail) Main Runehead Memberlists only, no Trials, Future Applicants.. etc. No "As a First Resort" pooling.
