  1. I would say slayer is longer to train than Runecraft, Farming and Prayer combined. why? Well, when you slay monsters, sometimes you will have to slay with someone else. Usually, this is a total stranger and often, they are a total jerk. From my perspective, the time that I spend with a jerk is multiplied ten-folds. So what this mean is that if I were to spend 1 hour forcibly training with a jerk, mentally, I would perceive that hour to be 10 hours rather than 1.
  2. I [bleep] knew it. I KNEW that's why no one got rid of junk trading. Well there you have it guys, they're happy with a broken GE system because it allows players to circumvent the trading limits. What I've--and others--have been saying for ages. I dont think its really circumventing anything. It takes time to gather junk, which most wont bother with. Infact, they are not earning a single GP more from the junk trades than they would without them, they just merely perceive it like they are. Junk has value do to its use to players, and/or its store price. Even small items, like tinderboxes and buckets, take time to gather and have value due to their various uses for players. All these trades accomplish is saving people the time of selling this junk manually for the same amount of coins. These trades essentially say, "In order to buy item X, you must also buy items Y alongside it". You are NOT paying more for the item, merely buying junk with the item. Really we've already lost substantial trade abilities ever since this whole battle on RWTings started, lets not further hamper them and make person to person trading even worse. By way, I edited this post to better make my point. Finally, someone other than me actually realizes this........you got no idea how far you just climbed on my "cool list"
  3. I hope this gives good slayer exp =S The reason why i stopped slayer at level 91 is because i just got tired of people invading my training areas =(
  4. Some time ago, Jagex CEO Iddison was interviewed. He told the interviewer about mechscape AND a totally different game that is scheduled to be released in 2010. Perhaps Stellar Dawn is that 2010 game? proof: http://www.mechscapeworld.com/forums/in ... topic=3932 scroll down to the section "Thirdscape" but i know some of you are lazy, so i'll post the paragraph =P ThirdScape ThirdScape is the name I've given to an MMORPG that Jagex is working on. Known internally as the 2010 endeavour this untitled project was announced by Iddison at the GameHorizon conference back in June 2008. According to one attendee Jagex "have plans for a third MMO sometime in 2010" which "may use micro-transactions" [11]. Henrique said in June 2008 that "subscription model is not dead, and I personally doubt it will ever be. Nonetheless, this doesn't justify a dismissal of other revenue models, and anyone not considering them seriously when designing new MMOs (or hiding behind poor justifications for this matter) will be doomed to get old in a market that's all about innovation" [46]. In July 2008 they posted an advert for the position "Head of MMORPG" [36] which in some postings had the job code "ho2010" [37] and is therefore likely to be for the Head of ThirdScape role. This vacancy interestingly stated "knowledge or experience of developing products for multiple platforms" as a useful attribute. In December 2008 a job vacancy was discovered which seemed to be for a ThirdScape content developer role [38]. According to one Jagex employee the company held a brainstorming session for the game in late July involving both senior content developers and more junior staff. Iddison said in October 2008 that "going forward, we are considering in our future MMOs having not just subscription but micropayments too" [5].
  5. I go out in public and i sometimes would overhear conversations about people complaining about large organizations like government.....or best buy for example about how "oh (insert organization here) is (insert adjective here) and doesn't care about its people/customers" I hear the same at my friend's house, but its about government I go online to enjoy playing runescape and i get bored and decide to drop by runescape forums guess what? i see the same type of complaining can anyone tell me where i can go to escape this? :(
  6. I remember when someone at my school kept asking me to loan him my runescape account because he wanted to make money on it. So one day, in desperation, he called my house over and over and over again until i got so annoyed that i gave him my password and told him not to change it. I then check half a hour later and i find out that he changed my password and i got scared cause i thought my account was gone forever. But luckily, i managed to recover my account within the next hour. When i got on my account, that fool tried to change my PIN and even called me back trying to get me to explain to him why i changed my password. There is more to the story, but i'm not about to go into details. But that guy was a jerk (if it wasn't for censors, i would say a lot more) for one year he was constantly threatening me and trying to get me to give him my account. Ah the good ole days. this has nothing to do with hacking, but i just felt like telling a story about me nearly losing my account, LOL
  7. Never heard of them but you do have a point. why would jagex care so much about real world item trading if it never happened? P.S. If jagex became "naughty" they would open an official real world trading site and cash in. they have already eliminated all their competitors! Think about that.... I would quit if Jagex introduces a shop, where you can buy Items for RL-cash. Because then, rich people would rule the game. But I do think (and hope) Jagex will not make such a mistake. If you think about it, it wouldn't be too bad if they introduced a shop =0 i'm sure they would make A LOT of money selling rs gold. But then again, accomplishments like having a party hat, 2376 skill total, etc. wouldn't be that much of an accomplishment anymore if jagex introduces a shop =S
  8. i never have more than 10m because i put most of my wealth in my skills, so it doesn't worry me if i lose my items, lol :)
  9. My account is too personal for me to sell, unless of course i get offers for more than $100,000 hehehe :D For the people that say NOONE would buy virtual items for that much, do i need to remind you of duke freedom and R2P? For those that don't know, they were one of the most richest merchanters in RS until they got banned for selling their items for real life cash. Duke Freedom made over $15,000 doing that and R2P made over $100,000 i believe. Don't believe me? look for R2P's gold selling site, he's still in business =P
  10. Hopefully this thread is being sarcastic Anyways, some people prefer to train while others don't. Honestly, training from level 1-90 isn't that hard, its actually pretty easy. Also, MOST skills can be trained effortlessly as following, Strength, Attack, Hitpoints, Defence, Range, Magic, Woodcutting, Fishing, Fletching, Farming, Cooking, Crafting, Agility (kinda, sorta), Slayer (kinda, sorta), Smithing (kinda), and Herblore. Those skills aren't exactly attention demanding skills, so getting from 1-99 isn't all that rough =P but it does take dedication seeing as how some of them would take over 200 hours to train from 1-99.
  11. I have played both games and in my opinion, both games are great in their own way. You can't exactly compare the two games, because they are both extremely different from each other. However, if i had to choose between playing RS and WOW for 10 hours, i think i would go with RS because there are more things for me to do.
