  1. Awesome guide man, really good. Just wanted to say that ZMI isnt that bad without a full bank, its not as fast but without a full bank you jsut deposit all, take some fire runes and 4 pouches, thats only 5 clicks more you can click them fast. Not sure but i think (just counting with my experience, never took the time) without a full bank you just take like 6 or 7 more seconds than without it. Just that, again: awesome guide keep it up, updating it.

  5. Introduction "Omg whats that thing of Treasure Trail?" Treasure Trail is a RuneScape minigame wich consists in a sequence of clue scrolls with information that leads to an exact point in the RuneScape map. This information can be in different way, and in this guide I will try to explain each way the information could appear and to include all the relevant topics this minigame has. Important: I will only explain the lvl 3 clue scroll's information. (Rewards) 5.0 Tips 6.0 F.A.Q 7.0 Credits 1.0 Requirements Yes, this minigame has requirements. Lets study them: [hide=Items requirements]1.1 Items: In order to complete a Treasure Trail lvl 3 you will need some essential items, these are: [*]Watch [*]Sextant [*]Navigation chart [*]And an all-purpuose spade "How do I get them?" I will explain this at coordinates clue's section [*]Also you will need to have many different items to do the Uri's clues. If you are planning to speed up the things, you may want to have all the items in your bank, and maybe all in a tab to order you, as I have. This items are: [*:2crftltj]Blue mystic hat ; [*:2crftltj]Rune platebody ; [*:2crftltj]Rune platelegs ; [*:2crftltj]Rune full helm ; [*:2crftltj]Bone spear ; [*:2crftltj]Elemental shield ; [*:2crftltj]Full blue d'hide set (chaps, body and vambs) ; [*:2crftltj]Rune warhammer ; [*:2crftltj]Ring of life ; [*:2crftltj]Uncharged glory amulet ; [*:2crftltj]Adamant 2h ; [*:2crftltj]Fire battlestaff ; [*:2crftltj]Mithril platelegs ; [*:2crftltj]Rune axe ; [*:2crftltj]Diamond ring ; [*:2crftltj]Amulet of power ; [*:2crftltj]Iron platebody ; [*:2crftltj]Adamant sq shield ; [*:2crftltj]Rune pickaxe . Recomended items: To efficiently complete a Treasure Trail you will be running all around the world of RuneScape, so heres the items wich will help you: [*]Runes: This is a 1st class requirement and you will use them for teleportation. I would say that they are as essential as the watch, sextant, etc. [*]Teleportation jewellery and other teleportation items: Yes, this are extremely important also, I would never consider doing a lvl 3 clue scroll without these. I will list them later with a picture to help you. [*]Energy enhancing or restoring items: No need to be explained. [*]Food: In this lvl of clue scroll you will be facing and avoiding revenants, saradomin and zamorak wizards. [*]Anti poison: At many coordinate clues you will face a saradomin wizard wich have a dragon dagger(p++) that is a real pain if you don't have an anti poison. [*]Coins: You may want to take a boat, ferry or maybe use the flying carpet service. [*]Spirit terrorbird pouches and scrolls: If you want to use a summoning familiar this is, you can use its BoB and the very handy in this minigame, the Tireless Run scroll. This is how the gear and inventory should be: Head slot: Helm of neitiznot gives a nice average bonuses and losing it wouldn't be so bad. You may want to try using a proselyete, any mitre or maybe another fremmenik helm. Torso and legs: I like using black d'hide because it's a cheap and a very lightweight armour. It's cheap and have a nice defence against magic that could save you in some ocassions. If you can't wear them I would recommend to use the best d'hide you can wear or a proselyte set for it's prayer bonuses. Shield: Books give you prayer bonuses and depending wich one some nice bonuses in def or attk. I advice to use the Holy one. They are easy to get them back, so I really recommend this ones. Weapon: Dragon dagger(p) are a nice weapon for Treasure Trails, you use the special in each fight ocasion and the special bar will recharge for the next fight. This will help you to speed up the fight, using less prayer points. The daggers can slash the webs in the wilderness, making this dagger a very nice weapon to use. Cape: Spottier cape! This reduces your weight by 5kg. If you can't use it, use spotted, if can't use god cloaks. Gloves: Barrows gloves gives extraordinary bonuses so use this. Any other RDF gloves or penace gloves (reduces weight) are ok. Boots: Boots of lightness reduces weight by 4.5kg. Easy to get them back. Dragon ones are too heavy and a little expensive. Amulet: Glory(4) gives you some nice stats and the ability to teleport to a lot of handy places such as Edgeville. If you wear a fury you are in risk of losing it and you have to use another inventory slot for a charged glory. I don't care you want to show off your fury, use glory! Ring: WEALTH DOESN'T AFFECT TREASURE TRAIL REWARDS! Use explorer ring 3, gives you a 1 prayer bonus and teleport to cabbage field northwest of Draynor. If you don't have it use ring of life. FORGOT ANTI-POISON POTION, INCLUDE IT IN YOUR INVENTORY! The inventory should look like this. You have: Explorer ring 3; Ring of dueling; Spade; Sextant; Games necklace; Ectophial; Navigation chart; Watch; Slayer ring; Teleport crystal; Teleport runes; Lunar staff; Clue scrolls; Coins; High healing food. Respectively from top left to right.[/hide] [hide=Skills requirements]1.2 Skills Not many skills are required to complete a level 3 clue scroll, and the most part of the time you will not need anything, but you aren't always lucky. [*]40 Agility:It's a riddle that makes you to pray the altar at the Yanille agility dungeon. I have personally suffer this requirement, and dropped a clue scroll because of it (thing I do not recommend) [*]68 Fishing: Entering the Fishing Guild. You can use fishing level enhancers like admiral pie or fishing potion. [*]66 Magic: Access to the Wizards Guild. You can also use a wizard mind bomb or a magic potion. [*]50 Ranged: Equip blue dragonhide set. [*]40 Defence and Attack: Equip Rune armour and weapons. [*]31 Prayer: Prayer Guild, but I would highly recommend a higher prayer (see below). Recommended skills: I really think this are more important than the other skills requirement, because this skills you'll be using them in each clue scroll: [*]High agility level: You will need to enter places, use shortcuts and run a lot so to have an agility level between 70-80 is an advantage. [*]43+ Prayer: Saradomin and Zamorak wizards are your principal enemy, the Zamorak one is totally controlled with 37 prayer protect from magic. Also you will have to watch out the fight with Uri. He will seem insignificant but I have used a lot of food beating him if not using prayer. [*]High combat level: As I just said the Zamorak one is totally controlled with prayer, but not the Saradomin one. This wizard is a really pain if you don't have a good combat level. [*]61 Magic: With this magic level you would be able to use all the teleports needed in order to complete a treasure trail (Ape Atoll it's not needed, yet). [*]52 Summoning: Not essential but it really speed up things and it can help you to get out of a problem with a revenant.[/hide] [hide=Quests requirements]1.3 Quests: Yes, you do need quests. A lot of them, but don't be scared most of them you can do like 30 clue scrolls and you will not need them but if you dont want to get in the mid of a treasure trail you should do them all before: Recomended quests: [*]Have done Fary Tale II till fairy rings part: MUST have done this, it helps a lot. Really. [*]Ghosts Ahoy: Ectophial helps. [*]Achievement Diary Lumbridge(all): Not a quest but didn't know where to put it. Explorer Ring 3 has it run replenish that helps, and if you don't have 52 Summoning this is more important. [*]Plague city: This gives you acces to the teleport to Ardougne spell that is very useful while doing Treasure Trail because of the lever in Ardougne that leads into the deep Wilderness.[/hide] 2.0 Clue scrolls As I said in the introduction Treasure Trail is a mini game that consists in a sequence of clue scrolls with information that will make you run from Harmony to Lunar Isle, digging up all the place and other things. Also I have said that this information comes in different ways such as: [hide=Coordinates]Coordinates: The coordinates are the most common lvl 3 clue scrolls information. They give the information in this way: That numbers refer to an exact point in the RuneScape world. To get the next clue you need to go to that point and dig with a spade. "How do I know where this coordinates lead to?" Well, you will need the three items I mentioned at the beginning: sextant, watch and navigation chart. If you use them correctly they will give you the coordinates of where are you when you use them. But, if we all were using the sextant all over the world till we hit the coordinates this mini game would take forever, so what's missing? Tip.It have a very handy Coordinate Locator! Yes! With this tool you can just put the coordinates of the clue scroll and you can just go there and dig, but don't forget to always have the four essential items because if you don't have them it will just say "Nothing interesting happens" IMPORTANT: As I mentioned before, in this level of clue scrolls when you dig at the coordinate a Saradomin wizard may appear (if you are at the Wilderness you will get a Zamorak wizard) so get prepared to fight. In order to get the next scroll you need to kill him. GRR.. Get rid of him Ok now the only thing we need to know is how we get the three items: 1. When you get a coordinate clue, head to the Observatory and speak with the Professor. Ask him about Treasure Trails and he will talk you about the sextant, watch and chart. 2. Head to the Clock Tower (south of Ardougne) and speak with Brother Kojo and he will give you the Watch. 3. Head to Port Kazhard and speak to Murphy, he will give you the sextant. 4. Head again to the Professor in the Observatory and he will explain how to use the sextant and give you the Navigation Chart. Remember that you need to have all this items in your inventory to succefully complete a coordinate scroll. Using the sextant: Sextant screen: 1. Left click the sextant. 2. Now the screen will appear. Your task is to put the sun and the horizon in the middle. To move the sun use the arrows underneath the sextant. And the vertical arrows to move the horizon. 3. When you think they are in the middle push "Get location". If any of them are wrong it will appear a message of "Get the sun in the middle of the screen" 4. When they are right they will give you the exact coordinates of where you are standing. [/hide] [hide=Riddles]Riddles: The riddles are when the clue scroll comes with an information that will need to decipher the real meaning of it and guess where the clue wants you to go. For example: "Often sought out by scholars of histories past, find me where words of wisdom speak volumes." This means that you need to go to talk to an Examiner at the Digsite. "Are they difficult?" YES, in my opinion they are just impossible, many people have discover them at first but I have no clue how they manage to decipher that riddles. "So, what I should do?" Another time Tip.it will help you! You can find an riddles list and their meanings at the Treasure Trail guide.[/hide] [hide=Maps]Maps: Lumber Yard northeast of Varrock, search in the box it indicates in the map. Northeast of the Observatory, there are three houses like it shows in the map. Its a kinda goblin village. The maps are a drawing of a place where you need to go and dig or search in crates. This are a really easy scrolls and you can easily remember them all with the time. But the firsts times you may want to look at the Tip.it Treasure Trails guide to know where to go![/hide] [hide=Anagrams]Anagrams: The anagrams are a form of the clue wich have an desordered name that you will need to rerrange to decipher and then talk to a NPC in RuneScape. For example: "This anagram reveals who to speak to next: Ace Match Elm" This means you need to talk to Cam the Camel NPC. This type of scroll may give you a challenge scroll or a sliding puzzle that have to be solved to continue.[/hide] [hide=Uri's Emotes]Uri's Emotes: When you get an scroll saying for example: "Laugh in Jokul's tent in the Mountain Camp. Beware of double agents! Equip a rune full helmet, blue dragonhide chaps and a fire battlestaff." you are facing an Uri's clues. This means that you have to go to a place, wield x objects and do an emote. When you do this you will be attacked by a Double Agent (level 108) and if the clue leads into the Wilderness will be a 65-leveled Double Agent. Watch out! He may seem insignificant but he can do really damage so you should protect from melee. After killing him you may have to do again the emote with the items it asks or Uri will talk you automatically. This is because if you change the items it ask to wear in the scroll, maybe to fight him he would not appear, but if you keep the items when Uri is dead he will appear. He will say you some confusing phrases and will give you a casket. [/hide] [hide=Puzzles]Puzzles: When you complete an anagram or a riddle you may get a puzzle. In other words, when you talk to the NPC you need to talk in a clue scroll you may get a sliding puzzle that you need to solve. This puzzles will get you mad at first but with the time you will became a really professional at them. At first they may take like 15-20 minutes yo solve but don't worry then you are going to easily solve them. The solved puzzles looks like this: [/hide] [hide=Challenges] In the same way as the puzzles you may get Challenges Scrolls. This is a secondary scroll that an NPC will give you to decipher. When you know the answer you have to talk with the NPC who gave you the scroll and type the answer. YES! Tip.it also have a list of the answers to this scrolls![/hide] 3.0 Clues hunting I have mentioned wich items you need and how to get them, wich skills and quest you would want to efficiently complete a level 3 Treasure Trail, but I am missing the most important part! Obtaining a clue! How can I get a level 3 clue? Clue scrolls are a monster drop and you can also get them in some chest around the world. In order to get a level 3 clue scroll you will need to kill high leveled monsters, such as: Aberrant Spectres; Aviansies (all of them); Ankous; Cyclops; Jelly; Green dragons; Cave horrors; Turoth(all); Mighty banshees; Greater Demons; Revenants(highest 4); Terror dogs; Kurasks; Gargoyles; Suqahs; Blue dragons; Red dragons; Black dragons; Spiritual mages warriors and rangers; Nechryael; Hellhounds; Metal Dragons; Skeletal Wyverns; Waterfiends; GWD bosses; Dagganoth Kings; Black Demon; Gorak; Bork. Ok thats a lot of monsters a lot of words, they confuse you. So I will try to recommend something. [hide=Hellhounds]Hellhounds are a 122 leveled monster found in the Taverley Dungeon. This doggy kinda monster drops a lot of clue scrolls. I personally use this monster for clue hunting. I do think it have one of the higher drop rates of the clue scroll. They give a very nice ranged xp if you know how to. Also you will get a lot of gold charms, along with a little amount of other charms. The most known method to kill them is the ranger way. If you have high melee stats you may want to melee and heal with Guthan set. How to get there: Taverley Dungeon is located south of Taverley, and west of Falador. There's a ladder that leads to this dungeon. When you climb down you will appear here, follow the red path to get to the hellhounds: If you are 70 agility you can use the blue shortcut and then follow the red line, and if you are 80 agility even better! Use the green shortcut and follow the red line. Ranger method: Hellhounds are a very common ranged target. The people hide behind some rocks and pillars and use the safespots there. Use the best ranged equipment you can, you are safe here. I give you this picture of how I prepare to range them. You can use it more or less like a guide, but always remember that you need to get the highest ranged attack bonus and not defence, because you are safe here! I have seen many people using dragon boots or defenders. I just don't understand it! Dragon boots and defenders lower your ranged attack bonus. Head slot: Zamorak coif Torso and legs: Black d'hide Boots: Snakeskin, not going to use 4m for a rangers boots(personally). Gloves: "Barrows" gloves. Cape: Ava's accumulator Weapon: Rune crossbow Shield: Unholy book Arrows: Mithril bolts Ring: Wealth. IMPORTANT! THIS RING REALLY IMPROVES THE CHANCE OF GETTING CLUE SCROLLS, ALWAYS USE THEM IF CLUE HUNTING. Amulet: Fury Melee method: I really recommend using Guthan's set here. If you have 68+ Summoning you may use a Bunyip. Ok here's the gear I recommend: Now you have a general idea of how and where to kill Hellhounds, so next monster.[/hide] [hide=Greaters demons]Greaters are located in the Brimhaven Dungeon and in the Gu'Tanoth cave. I kill them in the Brimgaven Dungeon, many people don't like this spot because of the Wild Dogs and because it crowded. I just take it easy and have patience, they give some nice crimson charms and some rune full helms so I'm just fine. "How do I kill them?" I recommend Guthans again and Bunyip if you have 68+ Summoning. For gear you may want to have a look at the last picture at Hellhounds. Same gear.[/hide] [hide=Aberrant spectres]Ok sorry, really need to do this. I love this guys, don't know why. This is a Slayer monster, level 96. You need 60 Slayer in order to kill Aberrant Spectres and a nosepeg. Recommend using protect from magic prayer. Don't worry, I usually go there with 5 4 dose prayer potions and get around 8-10 ranarrs, 1-2 rune full helms and charms (one of the highest blue charm drop rate). Gear: [/hide] [hide=Jelly]I personally don't do this, but I have to put them because many people get them here. This are one of the easiest monster to kill for a level 3 clue and they drop them quite a lot. "Where are them?" They are located in the Slayer Dungeon: Jellies have a magic based melee attack so, lets see what we can use: [/hide] [hide=Slayer]Ok something is missing. Aberrants, greaters, jellies, hellhounds... SLAYER! This four monsters and many others are given a lot by slayer masters, so what are you waiting! Except from clue hunting you can just do Slayer! No secrets, just change the helm of neitiznot for a slayer helmet or a black mask and go slay. This is a wonderfull skill, you get clues, charms, combat xp, awesome drops and a really varied rutine for you to not get bored![/hide] 4.0 Why I should do this?(Rewards) [hide=Rewards]If you red this guide and like it, wait to see this. As I mentioned before you can get clues by doing slayer. Many people says that clues slowers the tasks and that you shouldn't do them. I like doing slayer and do clues as a little break. They are fun and they have awesome rewards, lets see them: OMG! I am seeing right or that are the 3rd age sets? Yes, it is. These are the only level 3 Treasure Trail Reward. But there are some rewards that you may get that are for all the levels of Treasure Trail. You will not always get this rewards. Many times you will only get a rune platebody, rune platelegs, rune axe, 14 purple sweets and a black d'hide (for example). But you have always the exciting opportunity of getting that 3rd age platebody. This are: Purple sweets, god pages (damaged books) and firelighters. Ok, tbh I have to say that it`s really rare to get 3rd age or the super expensive items. :) You can always get a great rune platebody?[/hide] 5.0 Tips Ok theres somethings you may want to know that I couldn't add them to any of the sections. [hide=Tips]---While you doing the Treasure Trail you have to bank, this will be for things such as: need to get Uri's items, you want to deposit some items... you are going to Wilderness, etcetera. If you need to, my tip is this: If your next clue is heading into the low Wilderness you may want to teleport to Edgeville (bank very close, and you have the Wilderness very close too) with your glory or to the Bounty Hunter (bank close and in the Wilderness) with your Games Necklace. If your next clue needs you to teleport with Fairy Rings, head to Edgeville with your glory. If your next clue lead into the deep Wilderness teleport to Ardougne, bank if nedeed and the head to the lever east of the Ardougne Castle. ---Wealth really improves the chance of getting a clue scroll. ---Wealth don't affect the Treasure Trail rewards. ---Use lightweight and cheap items. ---Don't forget Dusty Key for Hellhounds.[/hide] 6.0 F.A.Q I found a grammar or an information error, what should I do? You may found many grammar mistakes because my native language is Spanish, so just post it in a replie or PM me. For information errors too. I want to share an image of a reward! Post it, I will try to add it. How many clue scrolls you have to do in order to get the reward? Six, the seventh is the reward, I think. I keep talking with Brother Kojo to get the watch, but he only talks about the Clock Tower quest, why? You need to talk with the Observatory Professor before talking to Brother Kojo, or Murphy. 7.0 Credits Inuashakent -- Helping a lot, ty Troacctid -- Ty you too :)
