It the truth, I know people who can't wait for this, and they're great people. Of course they may change once the PKing comes back, but I'm thinking not. Anyway, skillers are exactly the same, (note that I'm not talking about all of them, but a good few.) I can't say anything about PKers, cause I only risked it once with nothing on at about level 25 or so I think, and once a got to greater demons, a PKer killed me, it was done in about 2 hits I think, and he said nothing, so yeah.

Yes, probably most of you know about this. And it not true pking it just the style. We want to let you know that this request hasn't gone unheard, and that we've put a lot of research into how we can introduce new PvP mechanisms. The aim is for PvP content that better replaces the old Wilderness, but without reintroducing RWT. Hopefully, youre already aware of the imminent Clan Wars release (see the September Behind the Scenes in a couple of weeks for more information), but there are also plans afoot for the most exciting and "old school" PvP update we have ever considered unique PvP worlds. As many of our long term players know, in the old RuneScape Classic days you could actually fight players just outside the gates of Lumbridge, before the days of duelling and even before the days of the old Wilderness itself. Players could hunt each other down, chasing them away from favourite resource points and generally "owning" large areas of the map. So, in 2008, we will be bringing you special 'PvP worlds', where you can fight other players almost anywhere! In addition to all the usual content you might expect to find in RuneScape, they will also include: * Optional sign-up choose between PvP danger or stick to ordinary play by simply switching worlds. * High danger with items dropped on death. * High rewards for kills. To avoid any RWT issues the reward for a successful PK will be generated by the game, similar to when you kill a monster at the moment. We're creating generous drop tables based on factors like your levels and the impressiveness of the kill. * These drop tables will include "PvP world specific" items like XP-modifying gear, lvl 70+ equipment and new, glorious, short-term but hard hitting gear. These will once again make PKing a viable source of income. * PvP across 99% of the world, including the old Wilderness. * Attack any player within a certain level of your own. Level range depends on the area, similar to the old Wilderness levels. * ...And all sorts of other twists on interesting content... Just think of the possibilities when you can PK anywhere! Naturally, we also have other PvP-orientated content, like Stealing Creation (a resource control game where skillers and PKers work together, creating equipment and beating up the opposition) and Mobilising Armies (a real-time strategy game where you use your hard made bows, swords, etc. to equip your own armies in 4-player battles). Add all this to a healthy schedule of quests (featuring Arrav and the sequel to Spirit of Summer), holiday events and some unique puzzle content... and the rest of '08 has something for almost everyone. Finally, we'd like to let you in on a little secret we're currently working on our highest level, longest, most exciting quest ever. Not necessarily for launch in '08 (it's not something we want to rush, after all), its already had more development time than the entirety of "Recipe for Disaster"... but youll have to wait to find out more. It kinda disheartening to see someone with a yo-yo longing to have that item and knowing you can't, yes that is the main item I want. And for the second bolded part; I know they do, I was saying they had no knowledge of it's existence at the time of the good events, I am glad for this year's christmas though. Also i've done every event I knew of, which is all since christmas 2006, I just didn't get that one because I didn't understand where the dungeon was.

ye i guess you're right, but sometimes it's either that you know about it and choose not to go, you know about it but it's too far away, or you just can't.As you usually know what's happening in your area. In this case, you don't know anything runescape, but you could play runescape (once you find out about it.)

If we didn't know that runescape existed it's unfair that just for that we can't get holiday items porevious to our discovery.

What on earth are you going on about?! I only found out about runescape in 2006, and just the other day as i was training my range pure, I saw a guy who was lvl 8 and it was his first account, not a skiller either.This was about 2-3weeks ago... He missed like 16events, prolly cause he didnt even know about it. BTW, sorry bout the big font, won't happen again.

This topic is for those who want old holiday items to come back. In my case, I missed Christmas 2006 and back. Maybe jagex will look at this and think, "maybe this guy's got a point," maybe they'll just look and say, "oh no, not another one of these guys." Personally IDC, but I would love to be able to get items from before my knowledge of runescape. Maybe they could make the event harder than the original. I mean, why spend all that time planning code for the events only to have it last 2weeks and then be destroyed. Please jagex, if you read this, do something. Also, maybe if we get enough people posting this on runescape forums, they'll get a better idea of how many people want this. Because it seems they've been listening, I think this just might work. Take for example those that have been playing since classic, they spend 5years, and get all those holiday items, then they get banned. So what was all of that for? This update could help anyone and everyone.

You need firefox 3 to install it says, I like 2.0.0.14, cause I have tons of add-ons not compatible with ff3. Also, SwiftKit works fine for me, if you want to use tip.it, just go to the browser window thing, and add tip.it to the list. Also RuneScape runs better with SwiftKit.

My goal is this: Get all skills to 99, this will take about 10years at least, but I won't quit until I at least do that, I've never been member though, so I'm at 1 in all of those, anyway look me up on highscores "power ness", to find my nonmem skills, they're all ranked... :boohoo: Great article, totally true too. This quote couldn't be truer, I've met plenty of friends at lessers leveling my combat, or at barbarians training range. In fact I learned of SwiftKit from someone at lessers, and it's great, rarely do I play off of it since I got.

I agree with what you said... I personally would just like a safe wilderness, at least of some sort, cause I would love to fight greater demons. But the only place to find them is high-level wild, and I'm horrified of revs =P I once lost 300k in value from one while burying bones at the temple by clan wars...
