I feel the same. In december i thought i can reach total 1333, but now... I try to boost my firemake and crafting soon. Ahhh, the motivation this list offers.

AFKing means that you are away from the computer and not actually there. Example of this is mage splashing, where you can set your character to attack spiders or another creature and purposely splash so you can attack them for upwards of 8 hours. If you are simply browsing the forums or chatting with friends via Messenger, that is allowed.

You're probably right. Hope to see you crafting again soon. Tonight was fun with you ;)

Boring is subjective. I think that skills that require you to wait for the products to be finished (looking at YOU, Crafting, Cooking, and Smithing) are boring. I actually like skills that require attention. Though that's really because I don't multitask while playing Runescape. I agree that it gives slow exp, but the profit makes up for it. And profit matters a lot to me because I'm broke and I can't merchant. Runecrafting is unique, which is one of the reasons why I like the skill. I really don't find it that bad. I'd rather afk while playing Runescape. I don't mind paying attention but after 4 months trying to get 81-88 I've had enough for 3 months or so... It gives slow exp which is one of the reasons why I make tiaras, I can't stand RC, however I make experiment with water runes with 88-90 to see how it is etc. It may equal out to the exp of mind tiaras since I cant screw up as much (trying to make tiaras fast while runes is just one click) and I'll make profit :D I don't care if I don't profit on skills for I have the money, however, I don't train skills the quickest/most expensive way, I balance the two.
-
I always spend my money on skills. I just keep 40m to use for merching :D Also, runecrafting has some of the worst profits tbh. I can rune mine/merch instead and make 10X more money. Anyways, I might make water runes next runecraft level and see how fast they are.

I train on ice giants for ranged exp not for prayer exp. However, in the process I gain a nice amount of prayer exp.
-
Sorry Rach. I'll be at slow exp gains over the next week with exams :(

Thanks Jake, appreciate it.

I've died at few times at spiders :P Got lucky a few times as well. I just teleport to Varrock and run back; no biggy.
-
I only have 45m cash right now but I continuously am spending it on skills ^_^ I'm praying as well that the red aurora has something to do with a f2p update.
-
I plan to train the skill as soon as it's released. I'm hoping for level 70 in it right away, but I plan on raising it to 85.

Good to hear everyone's goals. I hope to have 1520 total after the new skill comes out (1435 total without).

Classic joke, every month has 28 day :P How :o Usually, I'm very smart, but now I feel stupid. Every month has one day, two days, etc. All also have 28 days and most have 29 days and 30 days. Some also have 31 days. Ahh, very simple. Just started playing again for the first time in awhile, going to try and get 1100 or 1200 total. I am surprised at how much the price of resources has increased. For example, iron ore (over 200 now, doesn't seem like too long ago it was barely over 100). Its because members abused PVP drops and caused inflation :( Lol. Actually, its more then that. For one, there is far more money in the game then normal, from simple things like alching and monster drops, barrows, etc. PvP is a small factor. For another, there are FAR more people in the game with a lot of money then there were before, simply because people have had more years of play. Thus there is more demand, and although there are more skillers now, the number of people who want fast xp far outweigh the number of skillers. For example, I used up 50k astrals in a week or two stringing ammies. Think of how long those took skillers to make. Supply and demand, not PvP'ers, is the reason. Actually if the 180 day graphs still went back to mid June you can see that every item rose dramatically when the PVP statues were released. That was the main reason to be honest. Alching, monster drops and barrows has been around forever. The DAY that the pvp statues came out the vast majority of items increased. People could make 200m a week with PvP 26king etc. That is why most people have a lot more money now.

For the players that are on the top 250 f2p list, when do you plan on maxing? And for every f2per, what are your current goals? And I think a mod hinted that the skill came out in a month with 28 days (February).
-
Yeah, that was with epic players and epic spawns. Typically getting more than 40 in a match on w61 is something of an accomplishment. The players that were getting 90+ with the glitch weren't anything special, they were bug abusers. The highest score I ever got was 51.

Mind tiaras are not effective for exp/hour, actually. There are several factors why. 1. The mind altar takes the longest to successfully complete one trip. 2. It is expensive and loses cash. Actually, all tiaras lose cash. 3. Body tiaras are better exp/hour. The most effective method is air runes via the Varrock teleport. It is only about 9.5k exp/hour, but you make tons of profit this way (hence tiaras not an option). Having to spend tons of cash on talismans is not worth the few thousand extra exp. Besides, profit is nice. :) And I lack the money for hardleather bodies so I can only do gold amulets. :( Exp/hr is worth more to me than cash since I can maintain 40m cash easily with merch :D

May I ask, how is Runecrafting as hard as prayer, and how is Crafting one of the easier skills? I make mind tiaras for RC. You lose money and it's non afkable. About 11k xp/h. Crafting is easy because it's only costing 10m max ;)
-
This is EXACTLY what I'm doing :D In terms of difficultly of each skill I've never really separated each one. I instead look at them in groups. Crafting, Melee, Ranged, Fishing --> Easy Mining, Smithing --> Medium Prayer/RC --> Highly difficult Those are only the skills that I have not yet maxed. Reading the above quote is my plan for 99 prayer (if I get it). For Runecrafting, 9X assist sucks so I'm going to gradually level it every so often w/ mind tiaras. For 99 Mining I'm going to mine addy ores and use them for 99 smithing (buy coal) and make probably 80m (I haven't calculated it). Fishing --> Fly Fish Ranged --> Ice Giants Melee --> Giant Spiders Crafting is easy imo because I can afk it :D 94-99 is losing me about 10m which isn't not bad considering I can merch during skills (10m a month) Current cash pile: 46m

D Sweetheart better get perm banned. @Jero, you should keep trying, you will reach it eventually.
-
I knew I should have gotten my crafting level today. However, I had homework and couldn't :( Time to add another rank to my current one now that you removed Mauranius.
-
I think a separate thread would be more suitable.

[i would highly enjoy a general discussion about F2P to be honest. Would be a nice way to spend the time during AFK skills among other things.

The only reason I said he was a maxed f2per is because I didn't think Mackenzie knew that he was ;) Glad to see we are on the same terms now :) @ Lioness I would probably go members if they never updated it again. Although I am grateful for a free game, it's those updates every 3 months or so, those little ones that I look forward too. I'm not saying I'm not content with what I have because I am, it's just those rare updates revive the life in this game.
