I really enjoyed reading this Lord. Especially your lesson of contentment. I too looked at my surroundings, decided this was the community I enjoyed and I have never left it. I test my limits, meet the challenges and accepted F2P. I'm very grateful for content they introduce for F2P, and yes I understand that F2P content has been lacking due to the new skill coming out. I didn't realize we got more bank space though :o Whatever updates happen, happen. In the mean time I continue to skill and raise my levels. In terms of the list, my rank will be raising faster now that I got 88 Runecraft under my belt. @ Sonic, I tried making a F2P general discussion thread and it got closed :(

How am I like the suck ups? Explain that to me please. How am I sucking up to Maur? There is a difference between sucking up and sticking up. One day, yes it would be nice to be on the top but am I going to be absolutely determined to get there? No, I'm going to do what I find fun and if I get there I get there. Yes, I can't deny I'm excited for the new skill, I really am. One day, I'm never going to get p2p. F2p forever, if I want to do something else I'll play my 360. One day, yes I'll quit RS, everyone has to quit sometime, only reason I play it is because there is nothing to do at times when you live in the country away from all your friends without a license to drive. I'm one of the most active posters here, which means? It means I like socialize with people, it doesn't mean [cabbage] about what I think about the game. The game is interesting I agree, its a well thought out MMPORG. I never once said JaGex sucks, I just said that Mod MMG didn't keep his word on what he planned to do with the F2P portion of the game. ~Sean

I never understood why they took away players contact with them. I was unaware that you got banned several times Maur, and if I had known your fellow friends deserted you I would have came. And I agree about the people looking up to Mod MMG. And I didnt know they invited the top 5 players :o I would have like to have went to their HQ. Thanks Maur, i'll keep in mind rule 1 ;)

He is a maxed f2per and I agree with him. Mod MMG hasn't done [cabbage] for F2P in the past year. Also, maxing is a fair amount of time that could be spent doing other things. Sure I'm making assumptions here and there are many reasons that involves someone spending that much time playing RS, but it is a long time to play single game.

I would like him on the list but it isn't our choice to make. And who cares if he insulted Jagex, he has a right to his opinions and thoughts.

Have a good life Maur, I'm sure others MAY understand it when they get to a higher level like you and using all those hours. You have inspired me to look at RS in a new way, a way I should have all along. Thank you & farewell.

Very nice writing Central, I enjoyed reading it. Now that I look at it, RS has been a large part of my past, and will make up a large portion of my childhood. Not because I spent every day always on the computer, I can only do that once or so on holidays, but rather the thoughts I get from it. It's something I have carried along with me, a place where I can relax, be myself in times of hardship, relive stress, meet people and be good at another video game. I believe video games are good for us as humans (of course nothing over the top) because according to the News last night, they create complex brains in humans and in console games they create hand eye coordination. However, like you said you should do other things, but a person can do what they what with their time, whatever gives them that sense of pleasure like again, you said. ~Ani

Right now I'm a little disappointed in where RS is going and with that being said I don't have my mind set on maxing or reaching particular rank in the f2p list. I'm playing for enjoyment as I always should have and making goals here and there. When RS goes downhill for X amount of time I'll go play my Xbox 360 and enjoy my gaming time there. I used to always favour RS over everything but now I realize it is just another game that I will soon have to leave or grow bored of. However, for me, I want the most efficient exp for my time or else I'll get bored so sadly I'll never play RS the normal way again (not powerleveling). However, what I may do is restore previous 99's, PK or buy God Armour again and maybe a rare. ~ Ani

Isthatok, I am dealing with the prayer prices by simply not training prayer until all my other skills are 99. Currently I'm slowly going to assist for 99 Runecrafting, 99 crafting isn't a problem (doing that now), 99 smithing - well I might mine adamant for 99 mining and use those ores to make adamant plates (buy the coal). I wont have all skills other than prayer 99 for around 20 months I'm estimating which gives me plenty of time to merch and make bank. New skill, I hope its like agility or something where you can't use money to race past and you don't gain money. If it is a money sink well, I'll level everytime I feel like it. I'm not worried about getting knocked off the list or maxing, even though it is a dream goal for me I have to constantly think of the now. What can I work on NOW to improve my account, gradually getting closer and closer to maxing. My answers are 99 craft, 96 attack, 96 defence, 96 strength, 96 ranged, 99 hitpoints --> 121 combat, and 94 fishing. As much as I'd like to get 99 in all of those, I know I cant in a relatively short time span so I need to break it up for my own sake. Also when I make goals, I make them because I enjoy that particular skill (besides Runecrafting) so I am having fun on RS.

It was mentioned as a possibility when the Dev Blog for Elite Tasks was released. I didn't hear of it either. Probably still something I can do though and not have to raise any skills :( Hopefully the new skill comes out in April, which is when my goals will be complete.

So much for Mod MMG focusing on F2P'ers.

My friend used to let me share his member account with him. I got the quest cape, 70 + skills. Then I got terribly bored because I could do mostly everything that I wanted to do. So that's why I want to stay F2P. Thanks to the help of another forum they got me playing again.

Actually it's quite cheap if you really want to get members. You get so much for little money (if you like quests, more skills/minigames and faster training/money making methods). I know it's cheap and I could easily afford it. Just not sure if I want to lol.

I actually think I might get members after the new skill comes out. But tbh, my parents won't pay for it and I kind of don't want to pay for it either... Hmm.

Links didn't work for me either man :( Hoping to get some quality RS time next week. Probably only 88 Runecrafting and 92 mining by the end of December. (5 levels). Then 99 Crafting should be sometime in March, depending on when the new skill is released.
