I have used the same reasoning you did. But in my case it was "RS keeps me off the streets and out of trouble." Now, I don't go out looking for trouble, nor do I engage in risky behavior. But I have been known to stay a little too long at the pub, and in my neighborhood trouble has a way of finding me...wrong place-wrong time kinda thing. And RS is a waste of time only to the extent that playing cards or a board game with your friends is; it's just as much a social activity as anything else. Some people are having difficulty grasping this internet world we live in, I'd say they are the ones who think playing an MMO is taboo. There are also gamers who don't like the role play, turn based genre that is RS and who bad mouth the game. That's ok, there are plenty of games for everyone's style. RS is not for everyone but all in all it has more going for it than any game I've played.

Agreed. In HD I can barely read clan chat against some backgrounds, like green grass. A full screen low detail would solve this problem for me. I don't need all the effects, I just like the big [wagon] screen.

Was he there before you were? Because it's common courtesy to world hop when someone is already occupying a busy spot (slayer monsters, mining rocks, etc) If I was there first, I would be angry as well. I understand that there is no written rule saying you can't swoop in a take all the (monsters, resources) but it's impolite to do so. As well as frowned upon by a large majority of players. You need to think of how you would feel if someone showed up and started (killing, collecting) everything you were. You might have a system or something of that nature going, and then this person comes along and interrupts it. I'm sure you would be angry at said person. If you were there first, then the above statement is rendered moot. My guess is that his comments were a reaction to an inability to steal her monsters. I use the same method lady cai is using and people hop in looking for a free world constantly. Most will hop upon seeing I am there first. But there are always those who will wait for the next spawn, try to steal it and after discovering they can't they make some ugly comment like "omfg you noob using a cannon!!1." I've gotten to where I don't even respond anymore. I try to schedule these sessions for non-busy times to make it easier to find an empty spot. I hate having to hop 10 - 20 times. On the other hand if it's really busy and I can't find a free world I will ask the person occupying the spot to share with me. If they refuse and I am intent on training then and there I might just take a monster to show that it is just as impolite to to not share :shock: , but that is a rare occurrance. I really couldn't care less. Getting ganked by 40 little brats who have perfected the click click to change combat style isn't my idea of fun. If I want to PK I play a FPS and use my skill, not this click click these queens think is pwn.

I love the GE, it's a vast improvement over the old trade system. If you don't like it don't use it. Fairly simple solution.

I just dumped a load of nests in the GE this morning (about 11 hours ago) and they still haven't sold. At min price even.
