It depends on your ranged level. The gloves will last for 1,000,000 exp. (500k normal exp + 500k bonus exp) So technically, however many chins it would take you to get 500k exp normally should use up all of the charges on your gloves. I know that this doesn't answer your question, but I hope it gets you closer to the answer.

When defending a point, a competent spy can keep the point safe. Actually, ubering an engineer with 30+ crits on the FJ is pretty effective as well.
