Karl trains his handgun on that position before examining the forest on the other side of the base.

Most adults don't understand the happenings on the internet. In 20 years, it'll be great when the new adults who were practically raised with a controller in their hands and a keyboard at their fingers actually start using some damn common sense. Karl ask the captain exactly what that thing that attacked the scout was. I keep my hand gun ready just in case. Karl also asks if the captain wants the scouts PDA.

Karl keeps following as he does he readies his combat knife and his handgun.

Karl follows the troops back to their outpost.

"I found him dead awhile back" Karl tells the captain about the scouts wounds and offers the PDA to him. Karl then asks the captain about the renegades.

Karl steps out with his hands raised (9mm pistol vs assault rifles no thanks)

Karl turns the PDA off and attempts to inch away from the forces. He watches where he steps and takes great care not to step on anything that would make a sound.

Karl examines the patrol to see what they are carrying and stays perfectly still. He readies his hand gun in case they see him and start to shoot. He also checks the contacts list on the PDA.

Karl attempts to conceal himself in the woods and checks to see what is on the PDA.

Karl picks up the PDA and pistol at the ready checks the surrounding area for whatever killed the scavenger.

Karl gets his pistol ready and examines the body of the dead scavenger as he goes he listens carefully and checks for enemies.

Karl walks off into the area donning his gas mask (if he has it)

There is but generally it would be imprudent to do that much with players (or to players in most of these games).

Karl tells him that it is under his seat and when the driver looks for it he sprints off into the zone.

Hmm I wonder if one were to adapt light magic for barriers could you do that (for instance create an etheral shield?) EDIT: To bread; Welcome! @ nex in my case it would be far better for me to use the plane of fire simply because the sun would take more energy than that. Also is it worth it getting neverwinter nights? EDIT#2: I wonder what would happen if retech opened a gate to the plane of water in a bowl and flew up?

Shielding would not work and unless there is a skill called "portal magic" I cannot simply create a pin[puncture] with one end closed off (ie it only fires in one direction) then I think this should rest for awhile.

Ah thank you ross for clarifying. Well that won't work yet so around the point that I can soften mystril I will probably be able to use that attack.

Hmm if I invested a bit of money or geomancy experience I could create a plateau for us to fight on (simple rock raised up with staircases)

What type of magic would nex's idea require anyways?

I will though it is now looking as if for our duel we should probably find a place that is not likely to be overtly damaged from our attacks.

Well there could be two types of portals one that lets physical magically present beings pass through that requires far less energy and another that would require a level of 10+ simply to open it up to the size of a fist for 1 second that lets the magical force come through.

Hmm that would take a much higher level. On a note to retech I am not sure how effective a gate to the plane of ice would be.
