  1. Tip.It was once the leading fansite for clanning/warring - no contest. However, the moderators (and I'd say the staff as a whole) at the time were terribly strict, and several disputes between TIF admins/moderators and the clan community led to the Clan and PvP Boards being shut down for quite awhile. The clan community then flocked to Zybez (a fledgling site back then), as I understand it, since the RSC staff advertised a "hands-off" approach to moderation in addition to a relaxed censor when they saw that Tip.It had closed its door to clans. There's really no doubt about it; RSC's rise in the clan world was a direct result of Tip.It's failures. I'm glad to say that this was years and years ago, though, and that the Tip.It staff are marvelous now (most of the past staff have long since moved on). I'm happy to see that the Clan Boards here are thriving once more. :)
  2. Absolutely priceless, thanks for the link.
  3. The Knowledge Base is notorious for providing blatantly false information, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if it's incorrect in this instance as well. It's a frustrating situation, but there's nothing to be done about it. I've reported KB errors on the designated RSOF sticky on a few occasions, and yet the necessary corrections have never been made, so I doubt appealing to Jagex will resolve anything in this case. At any rate, I'm inclined to side with Zalok:
  4. The clan chat "Dannni" is useful for finding high-level Dungeoneering teams. Other than that, World 2 is the only semi-reliable location I know of for finding 5:5 teams.

Here's a map, if you're having trouble finding the dragons: http://www.tip.it/runescape/html/wild_map.htm The green dragons just east of Clan Wars are the most conveniently placed (reached via Games Necklace teleport), but are also the most crowded, in general. The green dragons in level 14 Wilderness (west of the Dark Warriors' Fortress) may be a better location for you.
  6. I'm essentially retired, but when I do log on, I almost always have my private chat set to "friends" or "off". To be blunt, I don't want people I've never met messaging me at random; it's an annoyance I don't care to tolerate. Perhaps this does make me arrogant, I'll admit, but I prefer to reserve my private chat for conversations with my personal friends and acquaintances. I would consider myself to be a generally helpful player, but as others have already said, I'm not interested in placing myself at the beck-and-call of anyone who happens upon my username. If I meet someone ingame who requires my assistance in some matter, I'll almost always be happy to help, but I don't want to be called away (via private chat) from what I'm doing by someone I don't even know.
  7. The comments following the article are good for a laugh. Anyway, as magekillr said, I suspect that someone involved with the man's "24/7 observation" is smuggling in food and drink for him. It's also possible that this is all some form of publicity stunt (to what end, I can't imagine). Facts are facts, after all. It is physically impossible to survive for much longer than a week without imbibing liquids; no amount of "mental fortitude" or "hidden human potential" can allow for any human to simply live without taking in nutrients and liquids.
  8. There's certainly a clear distinction between a "newb" and a "noob", but seriously, it really doesn't matter. I would laugh if anyone called me a newb/noob ingame; it's a childish insult, in all honesty. If someone truly wants to be hurtful, they would undoubtably use language much more vulgar than that.

aye, nowt better than a good brew ever dunked yer bar o galaxy in yer brew? ;) Haha, the chocolate, right? Can't say I have. :P On an unrelated note, I usually start my day on a couple cups of green or mint tea. I've no idea how anyone can stomach coffee or energy drinks so early in the morning; I know I would be feeling sick for the rest of the day if I tried that.

I'm generally not a fan of soda and coffee; the taste is rather unappealing if you haven't dranken any in awhile, to be honest. I much prefer tea, although tea typically has less caffeine than either soda or coffee.
  11. I never introduced myself when I first joined these forums, and I didn't become very active before leaving soon after, either. However, I've decided to become more involved with the community here, so I'll be around and posting more often. So... Hello, everyone. :)
  12. Your type is: INTJ Introverted (I) 73.33% Extroverted (E) 26.67% Intuitive (N) 52.78% Sensing (S) 47.22% Thinking (T) 75.86% Feeling (F) 24.14% Judging (J) 62.86% Perceiving (P) 37.14% You are: *very expressed introvert *moderately expressed intuitive personality *distinctively expressed thinking personality *moderately expressed judging personality INTJ - "Mastermind". Introverted intellectual with a preference for finding certainty. A builder of systems and the applier of theoretical models. 2.1% of total population. ~~~~~~~~~~ I took the personality tests on both the humanmetrics and similarminds sites, but I wasn't very impressed. I would have preferred there to be more questions, and the YES/NO answer options on the humanetrics site were disappointing. The overt flattery in the type descriptions didn't much help, either. "Mastermind," honestly? Anyway, personality tests can be interesting, but they shouldn't be taken too seriously; they're obviously made to be "marketable" and appealing, so polished results are to be expected for the most part.
  13. He's been around for awhile but reappeared over the weekend. 'Either he took a break from his regular routine of trolling and came back, or he was temporarily banned and it just recently expired. That's all I can come up with. I edited in a message for you in my last post, by the way.

  15. Fix'd. I can completely agree with you here. Although, in this case, jblrulessd is deliberately trolling. He's perfectly capable of writing a legible post; I've seen it for myself in the "Lost" thread. He'll probably be banned before too long (along with his alternate account: "TheChamp") if he hasn't been already. I'm sure Rainy's getting irritated considering all of the spam threads he has had to lock recently. :P *EDIT* Damn, deathdrow beat me to it. [hide=Off-Topic Question for Gallade]Anyway, you sent me a PM, apparently, but I can't view it. I've been gone for a little while, so I apologise for that; is there any reason why you removed it, though?[/hide]

  17. What surprises me is that you said absolutely nothing on THE FIST OF THE NORTH STAR. I haven't read/watched it, so I thought it best not to comment. :P
  18. Again, nothing against you personally, but I find it a bit too "dramatic" (for lack of a better word). Also, I don't like DBZ or Naruto either, nor did I recommend them to bongo_man. :)
  19. If you're looking for action/shounen anime, I recommend (in no particular order): *Fullmetal Alchemist *Samurai Champloo *Trinity Blood *Baccano! *Claymore I suggest watching Samurai Champloo, in particular, since you've said you enjoy swordsmanship. Also, you can't go wrong with YuYu Hakusho, even if it is a bit old. :) I've never understood the appeal of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, to be honest; it just seems way too "over-the-top" for me. I gave the manga a fair chance (in my opinion), but after chapter 30 or so, it became entirely too ridiculous, and I had to let it go. I thought the story started out well enough, but once the mask's powers were revealed (seriously, it turns the user into a god-like vampire? :| ) and the whole deal with the "Ripple" started into full-swing, I couldn't take much more. Also, is it just me, or do all of the men in the manga look like they're on some serious steroids? :? 'Nothing against you personally, but I don't see what's so great about it.
