Even with it, if your attack is anywhere near decent it shouldn't matter. Only consider these weaknesses once you get to higher leveled monsters. why are hunters of waterfiends always referred to zammy spears then?

The fact of the matter is, in the hours it takes you to get the torso, you can get a nice amount of xp, and in his case, aquire barrows for better training. If he already has it, then sure, yeah use it. Otherwise, don't waste your time. yeah right, aims of life: aquiring maximum possible exp WHAT HAPPENED TO PLAYING THE GAME?

Edited for accuracy. The torso is really bad. Get a barrows chest, they really aren't that expensive. I'd get barrows legs too. They're pretty cheap but effective. barrows for combat training? l2p nerd Yes barrows for combat training, and I'm sorry I have no idea what l2p is, but nice try on the flame. I did realize that his defense was only 68, but it's still better to stick with rune plate for those 2 levels rather than going to get the torso, which isn't worth it. Where have you heard that it isn't worth it? it has the same defence bonus as a rune plate with a strength bonus, and requires little effort to obtain it. and no, no-one uses barrows armour for combat training.

before you begin training take note of these essenial items: neitznot helm (quest and 60k?) dragon boots amulet of glory (60k?) rune defender (free) fighter torso (free)

that may be, but the defender also lowers magic defence which is critical in a confrontation with a cave horror

But the whip is faster and allows the use of a shield :rolleyes: alas, the spear has the same speed

according to wiki The wiki can be wrong when it comes to weaknesses, it said the Bandos boss had a weakness to magic attacks until I changed it. :P Anything would probably work well against Cave Horrors as they have low defence against anything (if I was killing them I'd use whip). im using the spear now, it appears to work just as well, anything does at maxed combat i suppose. besides, it looks cool as fuuuuu.

Hey, the other day i bought a corrupt vesta chainbody and equipped it. I was under the impression that they lasted for 15 minutes in *COMBAT*. that was until, the next time I looked it had already vanished. Anyone know why this happened? Or has it always been like this. I bought another set shortly after and equipped it for about 30 seconds, and sure enough it start degrading, just standing around. Im not bothered about the 700k wasted, just how and why this happened. thankyou.
