I have never heard Nox Arcana, but there's this obscure one man band called Moëvöt that does eerie, dark ambient stuff. It's all recorded and edited by one dude, and much of it utter crap, but there are a couple of good songs in there. ^ This. Except sometimes instead of Gregorian chants, I'll end up listening to Nox Arcana instead and send myself into a relaxed state of complete and total fear, especially if it's after midnight. Also, In Dwarf Fortress, I crammed like a dozen cats into a closed tunnel so I wouldn't have to deal with FPS loss if they started to breed. Now, they're attacking everything they can see. Well, time to create a ceiling shaft into that tunnel so I can drop goblins in.

I'm either listening to classical music on the radio, scary music that would make people think I'm a goth on Pandora, crazy TSO music on Pandora, bass-heavy music on Pandora, Alvin and the Chipmunks on Pandora, rock on Pandora, random pop music that occasionally pops up on Pandora, Weird Al on Pandora, or random crap on repeat from Youtube - including but not limited to all those tracks from LoZ, any MegaMan/Mega Man/Megaman series ever - including Zero spinoffs, SSBB music, the CODBlackOps lobby music, rickrolls, a bunch of rabbits singing "Om Nom Nom" (that one's courtesy of my brother if I leave my computer unattended, but it counts!), and the Ultimate Showdown song. Oh, and some band called Sneaker Pimps that my lab instructor likes to play during Chem lab. I voluntarily listen to everything but country music. And I'll even tolerate that if someone else is listening to it.

I spend hours on end listening to video game music while I do other stuff. Seriously, I think I've been listening to the same remix of the Fire Emblem recruitment song for a couple hours now, and a couple hours before that it was the LoZ theme remixed. ALL HAIL YOUTUBE

Yeah, but if it has crappy art, most people will just pass over it thinking "oh, no effort there. lazy bastard." So my question is - is the art good enough for people to actually get to the plotline without vomiting?
