  1. I'm off for the night. I got in a lot more Prayer than I expected today. I actually got the level that I thought was going to have to wait until tomorrow. 8 levels to go! lol
  2. Well... I noticed a lot of my pictures turning into "Posted Image." What exactly does that mean...? I'm assuming something along the lines of the uploaded image URL expired.
  3. I am now just a couple hours away from 87 Prayer. I will probably get this level tomorrow some time. In other news: I have decided that after 95 Prayer, I will be going for 80 Dungeoneering. The motivation for this decision you may ask? I want one of these: The Chaotic Kiteshield, with its amazing defence stats, 10% damage reduction against Melee, and 20% damage reduction against Range, seems like a great upgrade for my GWD gear. While Chaotic Longsword also was very tempting, I will be going with the Kiteshield, at least for now
  4. Yeah they did nerf F2P XP. I've concluded that the base XP is figured out from a number of factors about the dungeon, some which are out of our control and some which may be in our control. I don't know exactly which factors affect base XP, making this conclusion somewhat too generic to be useful... I also found out that Prestige XP is the same as Base Floor XP, except that it is calculated as if you were doing the floor your Prestige level is (I think). So if my Prestige was level 20 and I was running floor 15, my base XP would be calculated based on those other factors in the dungeon. My Prestige XP would also be calculated on those other factors, but instead of plugging Floor 15 into the equation, they would use Floor 20. Pretty much, I have not brought any new information out, this is just a summary post in case anyone else was confused like I was (hopefully what I've said here is correct). :-?
  5. Today I make another few steps on my long journey to 95 Prayer. Perhaps I can break 95k Big Bones left today. Of course, that's only about half an hour away, so it's quite likely I will meet it  In other news: I forgot to upload this before, but, best Treasure Trail reward ever!! I also had a brief conversation in RuneScape with my race opponent today. I have discovered that I am very likely going to lose this race. Although I guess even that wouldn't be a terrible thing. I would still probably end up having gotten XP faster during the race than I would have otherwise. HOWEVER!! This does not mean that I have given up on the race. I will still defeat my foe, nemesis, enemy, whatever you want to call him. Oddly enough, he happened to PM me as I took that screenshot lol.
  6. I decided to check in on this again, and as I expected, it was just as entertaining as before  Good luck with your levelling and such, and take good care of your kitteh!!!
  7. Well then. I'm not exactly sure what the finish line is, but it sounds like a race
  8. No problem lol. I actually just finished training Herblore a few weeks ago, so it was all fresh in my mind :P
  9. Yeah, my bet would be that the Extra Strength from the Barrows Gloves would probably outweigh the Dragon Slayer Gloves extra accuracy (although I'm not sure). The extra XP also comes into account, so it's probably more of a judgement call.
  10. Whenever I do Herblore I always take a look at this web page: http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Calculators/Potions It has a chart with the "profits per XP" for all of the potions. I organize the chart by "profit per XP," and then just look for the one with the least negative number. I also take into consideration a few other things: 1.) Does it require untradeable ingredients? If so, it may not be feasible for getting a lot of XP. 2.) Is there a small difference in "profit per XP" but a big difference in "XP?" If Potion A is 50 XP per potion and -20gp/XP, and Potion B is 100 XP per potion and -21gp/XP, I still might do Potion B, even though it is more expensive, because it will take half the time. 3.) Will the potion ever sell on the Grand Exchange? If it is a potion that won't ever sell, then the losses are actually higher than the chart says. The chart has a "Demand" column, but I don't find it to be 100% accurate, so I just go off of my own knowledge on what will sell. Currently Prayer Potions and Super Attack Potions are both looking like good options for you. They are both between -21and -22 gp/XP. Super Attack will be slightly faster XP. You need about 3.2m XP to get 85 Herblore, which is the level I got to to make Extremes using Spicy Stews. 3.2m XP (-21gp/XP) = 67.2m loss So you would burn 67m to get 85 Herblore doing Super Attacks or Prayer Potions (assuming prices remain constant during your training time).
  11. Actually Aspeeder, using the "Max Attack Roll" Equation that people have generally agreed upon: (Max Attack Roll is essentially how accurate you are) 13 + Level + (Level * Bonus / 64) + (Bonus / 8) Using your same slash bonuses: With Barrows Gloves: 104 With Dragon Slayer Gloves: 92 Using his Attack Level: 88 You end up with: Barrows Gloves: Max Attack Roll = 13 + 88 + 88*104/64 + 104 / 8 = 13 + 88 + 143 + 13 = 257 Dragon Slayer Gloves: Max Attack Roll = 13 + (1.1)88 + (1.1)88*92/64 + 92/8 = 13 + 96.8 + 139.15 + 11.5 = 260.45 = 260 Dragon Slayer Gloves actually end up giving you a higher Max Attack Roll compared to Barrows Gloves, and the Dragon Slayer Gloves will only pull further ahead if he uses potions (potion bonuses are factored in prior to other bonuses, meaning the Dragon Slayer Gloves multiplier will be based off of his boosted level, not his base level). Granted, this analysis does not take into account Max Hit, so the higher strength bonus from Barrows Gloves could still outweigh the extra accuracy from the Dragon Slayer Gloves. EDIT: I just considered the possibility that Slayer Helm's bonus may have put the Barrows Gloves setup ahead, however, after doing the math out with the 15% for Barrows Gloves and the 25% (15% + 10%) for Dragon Slayer Gloves, Dragon Slayer Gloves still won out slightly. EDIT #2: On topic, I always do my Metal Dragon tasks. Even though they are slower experience, I don't mind them, and the chance for Dragon Platelegs, or even a Draconic Visage is always enticing  I also find that Whip tends to be better for Irons, and LBS is better for Steels. This is just one of those "I think" kind of things though. I've never actually looked into it, I just did a task with Whip and a task with LBS, and liked the Whip task better lol. It should be noted that I have 99 Attack, so you may be more interested in the extra accuracy against Irons than I was.
  12. God i hope that doesn't mean this was the smithing update that was mentioned in several Q&A's lol. Also the firemaking beacons is what wilderness tag has become later on (i think i read this in one of the Q&a's as well ) I thought the smithing update was the smithing rebalance involving iron ore and your success rate smelting it? It'd be cool if there was something else, but I was under the impression that that was it.
  13. Good job failing at using the quote system lol.
  14. I would post my numbers, but I'm not Prestige 35 =/
  15. Haha. Yes you were, and thank you :P I'm doing a little Prayer right now, but I'll be getting off soon. It's nice outside
  16. I'm not so sure how I feel about his whole "it's a possibility" comment regarding other skills going to 120. I see it as possibly a positive change for some skills, such as Constitution, but for other skills, I'm not sure if I would support it :?
  17. I have made a post on the RSOF, in case any of you are interested in contributing there. Perhaps we can get some response from Jagex as to if the current setup (whatever it actually happens to be) is intentional or if some of these factors affecting our experience were not intended to exist. Quick find code: 149-150-841-60947771
  18. Regardless of how Floor XP is calculated, I still see no reason why my Prestige XP should go down after completing another Floor. It could possibly go up less between 16 and 17 than it did between 15 and 16, but it still should not have gone down. Prestige is supposed to be based on the number of different floors you have completed, so there is no way it should be lower when I have completed more floors. EDIT: "The prestige exp is then calculated from the base exp and your prestige level." I now see what you mean by this. Your point is that because my Floor XP was lower, based on whatever calculation they use, my Prestige was then lower, even though I now have a higher level Prestige (17 vs 16). While having Prestige 17 helps me to get more XP, it does not mean I will necessarily get more XP every time.
  19. Ohhh. I wasn't exactly sure what you meant by having melee left to do before. Are you also going for Max Melee before you consider yourself done? If that's the case, I might actually have the advantage in this race
  20. Haha. :P I would gladly accept your challenge, except for the fact that I know I would lose. I still have over 97k Big Bones left, and I'm not going to be making any amazing progress for at least the next couple weeks. However, since you issued the challenge, I will still make an attempt, and try to keep up with your experience rate  Let the race begin! I have taken the following numbers from the Hi-Scores at the time of this post. Tonguetamer3 starting XP in Prayer: 3,687,201 Zephy starting XP in Herblore: 886,915
  21. Yeah, if bonus rooms are taking off from Base XP and Prestige XP, that does not make much sense at all. I had thought that they could only add to your score, but apparently that is not so. <_<
  22. If this is true, it explains the XP difference. It would also be quite a flaw in the XP system... I realize my bonus room multiplier is higher for Floor 16. I was merely referring to the Floor XP and Prestige Xp however, not the total XP I ended up getting. Although, if you are referring to Qeltar's explanation, what you are saying explains my situation.
  23. I thought killing all of the monsters affected your level mod? Quote from KB regarding "Points Mod" (which I believe is now called "Level Mod" "This modifies your XP reward based on how many creatures you left undefeated in the dungeons" Also, according to the KB, the Base "Floor XP" is based purely on which floor you were raiding. "Floor - An amount of XP based on the floor you were raiding. "
