  1. Why talking about combat in this topic? Even if he didn't want an afk method, many people prefer to skill rather than monsterhunt.

As said above, farming is your best bet. Between farm runs, you can fish monkfish, which if you do for long enough it will get you to 90, unlocking rocktails, which are super afkable.

Other options are cutting teaks with deadliest catch deposit boxes, which gives you good experience, logs and special logs, which you can turn later for free teak planks.

Cannon balls is another method, but it's seriously low experience one. You can also lvl your hunter and catch buterflies, I heard they're pretty afkable and good in terms of experience.

  2. 1- Do you need all beginner tasks to get the reward for the Lumb diary? In the website it refers that you don't need the "pre-beginner" ones, but I can't seem to claim my. Nvm, I filtered non-set tasks and got 3 set ones left =P

2- How does a surgebox work? I don't really get it because I never used one. You can store basic runes, or all runes that work for surge spells? And how many "casts" can you store? Because I'm wondering if it's handy in order to save inv space if you're constantly on lunars.

    Thanks.

  3. I am in the exact same position as you. I have a mage pure with some combat lvls resultant from the quests needed for lunars.

The way I did it was (I was 10hp, 1 in all melees):

    - Assuming the best gravestone you can get (which is a 7 or 8minutes one, since their time now is doubled) you go in with an inventory filled with rocktails (yes, must be rocktails);

    - You die to the first form

    - As you respawn, you get from bank 4 rings of recoil (3 are full, make sure the third one has at least 300 hits left)

    - Auto-retaliate on, and you need to hit at least once to defeat each of forms (I wasn't hitting the first form and it just vanished at low hp)

    - At first form, eat a rocktail whenever you get below 45-48 hp. His attacks are somewhat fast, it's very easy to die if you're not quick to eat. Make sure you equip new recoils asap.

    - The second form you may start noticing you're supplies are running low. Don't pick a rocktail whenever you got a spot, try to fill your whole inventory before the 2nd form is dead and your hp is high. Eat at less than 62 hp

    - Third form is not easy in the way that you can easily die. He killed me once with a 72/73, so eat asap when you're under 75 hp. He can hit very often since you're 1 defense. At this time, since the 3rd form is noticeable harder than the first one, I use attack prayer (I was 9 prayer back then) to make sure you land that one hit. One handy thing is leaving the xp counter on so you know you've hitted and you can turn auto-retaliate off. Usually not needed because you'll hit like 3 times per form so the exp is minimal.

When third form dies (if you brought 4 full ring of recoils you should still have one left), just enter combat with the 4rd form and die. You won't loose any items and the task is done. Goodluck!

Ps: to defeat the lvl69 npc from the other trial, I used mage and had some troubles because he spawned in the middle of the wolves. He's piss of cake in any other place because you just need to safespot and then mage him down (or recoil, but he hits higher than the thorvald guy). If he spawns in the wolves, try to get him stuck in the east side of the western tree stump, and stand in the west side, so that the wolves won't wonder near you.

PPS: add me in runescape (Istari ea) or pm me here, our accounts seem to have exactly the same goals, I have loads of information that you probably can use :D

  4. 1) I believe the xp of Teak at Ape Atoll to be ~100K/hr, slightly slower than Ivy yes.

At 94 wc I was reaching above 96k exp per hour powercutting. But I'm interested to know if they are always better experience than willows/competitive with ivys, because I wanted to start gathering special teak logs as soon as possible (at lvl70 let's say).

About the special logs, I only have 40 in my bank and I remember doing more than 2mil exp in teaks. I suppose it's more random than I thought since your average seems much better 0o

  5. 1- Are teaks at any lvl (banking them at ape atoll bank, the one from deadliest catch) worse than ivy in terms of experience?

2- Is there any average rate of "special teak logs"? Need 320 of them.

3- Is it still possible to do "recharge points at obelisk" diary task without completing wolf whistle?

4- Is 35-40 constituition enough to rc trough abyss (assuming taking 1 or 2 pieces of food each trip ofc)? Asking because I want to keep hp as low as possible.

5- Are summer pies a noticeable improvement when used at Wilderness course?

    Thanks in advance

  6. As I want to keep the character as low combat as possible with lunars, what would be the best method to get the required tokens for scroll of life?

I was thinking in trying to find people to join when they lvl fishing in c2s, but people don't usually complete the floor right?

I also heard of lvl3s with high dg lvls that told me to do it f2p. Anyone got any information (as much I hate the idea of leaching, I can't find any other way to get the tokens :wall: ) about how these kind of accounts get the lvls (assuming no lamps/pengs/etc)?

Also, what is the minimum magic lvl for unlocking livid farm rewards in the most efficient way possible? I can't acess any spells that require dream mentor, like plank make.

    Thanks in advance :)

  7. I've been using a simple program called Keytweak for the last year. It's perfectly within the rules and Jagex can't detect remapped keys anyway.

Since autohotkey seems so controversiable, tried this one, but having to reboot windows everytime I want to do some bolts seems a bit annoying, and the controller one can't be used because I need the hand to press FN key in keyboard :wall:

Will appreciate any suggestions that work in this situation, thanks

    1. Buy a small paper weight.

    2. Set the paper weight on the fn key.

    3. ????

    4. Profit!

Try it for half an hour and then tell me how's your wrist ;) Don't assume I didn't try that.

  8. I've been using a simple program called Keytweak for the last year. It's perfectly within the rules and Jagex can't detect remapped keys anyway.

  9. AHK can be used to remap keys. I actually have my f keys remapped to be close to my arrow keys for ease-of-access. There's no possible way for Jagex to detect that you're doing anything out of the norm.

I will look into it. Deal is as you can see by that Jmod post, they can detect you're using an accessibility program, so they probably can detect remapping ( just guessing)

You're talking of auto hotkey? That program is under extremely controversial debate as it stands and you probably won't get a 100% correct answer.

Yeah, autokey, I understand why. Just bugs me not to know if there's a legal way to remap keybinds while having sure I won't get flagged as a rule breaker. People in laptops should be able to mouse key aswell right :wall: ?

  10. I found a problem:

-Laptop users that don't have numlock have to use FN to make the mouse keys work. The deal is that the keys are in the places far distant from it. Down is K, up is 8, etc, making it impossible to reach with one hand.

I looked in the internet and found a j mod saying:

    Mousekeystatement.PNG

but since the program I require does other stuff besides that, I decided to ask for advice. Here's the program features:

-Automate almost anything by sending keystrokes and mouse clicks. You can write a mouse or keyboard macro by hand or use the macro recorder.

-Create hotkeys for keyboard, joystick, and mouse. Virtually any key, button, or combination can become a hotkey.

-Expand abbreviations as you type them. For example, typing "btw" can automatically produce "by the way".

-Remap keys and buttons on your keyboard, joystick, and mouse.

I would only be using the last option. I'm concerned though that the program, while having other functionalities, flag me as a third-party program user in jagex detection system, because of what this j mod said:

    Modmosley.png

So, can I get in troubles if I use it  ?

Ps: I know that mouse keys are legal, my concern is about a remapping program, consider that when posting, thanks!

  11. I've activated my mouse keys, i'm using laptop with windows vista:

1- I have to press FN (in sw edge of keyboard) and then k/u/i to move it. As you can see, this a problem, is there any way to change any of the keys?

2- I can't adjust the speed. I have all settings on max, spammed ctrl to increase the speed, have mouse speed option on max aswell, and my cursor stills drags super slow to any direction. How to solve this?

3- I know it's harder to use mousekeys in laptops. If it's not against the rules, should I go and search for some mouse keys program?

    Thanks in advance

  12. I would say black demons in chaos tunnels. They aren't the fastest melee experience, but they drop:

    - Loads of crimson charms, around 50-70 per hour.

    - Infernal ashes, which sell for 5k each, making an hour there around 700k profit

    - Effingies at a pretty good rate

If you use a tort, you can get pretty good results, but i would suggest getting void melee helm, since void works very nicely there.

  13. If im not mistaken, d claws drop rate is around 1 in 300 kills? That would mean 15 hours for you to get one. that would mean 1,4mil every hour, not counting with the rest of the drops, which should add up, increasing profit alot in those 15 hours.

I think tds would be better loot, but i'm not sure about barrows estimates, due the huge amount of drops possible to show up.

  14. You should really get a deflector. By experience, i can tell you that it takes no more than 1 hour to get one if you got a friend, and the added bonuses from arma work nicely.

Be sure to read blade's guide, he has nice tips about what you should do in order to maximize exp per hour. Many people buy let's say 8k chins, and they get low amounts of experience with them simply because they aren't looking for that balance between ranging and moving bones. If you can use geysers, be sure to bring an extra pouch, good chances the first one will die.

About the gear, i prefer sw cape + ranging amulet than fury + alerter. If you can, bring an EEE or even an EE, it's more usefull than bringing a anti, because sometimes can happen your pray runs off, and EE will cover all those small mistakes plus last for the whole trip using only one spot, unlike antis.

  15. those items get added even if you don't wear row.

I feel like I'm misreading this, but do you mean that just having the RoW in the inventory while wielding a Berserker (i) will get the added effects of the RoW?

yea, i think that's correct. in general discussions i saw a screenie about the new row rewards, and he had the ring in his inventory

That was a ring of slaying, not a row.

  16. Okay, i just reached turmoil and overloads, and can get the rest of tokens for rapier in 2 or 3 days. Am ready for summon.

In the current cenario i make:

90 crims and around 60k controlled exp per hour (split by 3 skills), with piety+elite void+ extremes + zs in ancient cavern

100k exp per hour with whip + elite void (no deflector) + extremes + piety at armoured zombies

Stats: 85 summon, 88 melees, 95 pray (i can soulsplit flash without failling, and don't mind of doing it all the time if it means higher exp/kills per hour), i can barrage (i'd not prefer to because i got serious lag problems), and as you can tell by my prayer vs cb lvl, cash is never an issue.

Getting 96 summon at wfs in ancient cavern is around 220 hours, and will get me at least 95 melees.

Is this still the fastest way to achieve 96summon + high melees? I wouldn't mind barraging rock lobs in that second spot (where the lure is much faster, even tough less lobs) and use azs with rapier aslong as it was faster.

    Thanks in advance

  17. becase in the topic you came to ask for advice, you got the answer for boss hunting. Not for slayer.

I'm intested on slayer. Do you have any feedback about it that you can backup with maths? If so post, if not, since you will provide helpfull information, do not post ;)

    Edit:

thanks blade, exactly what i was looking for :D

  18. Doesn't matter for the topic, only want to grab solid data to my question :)

edit: post whatever you want if you act childish, i do not mind being wrong if it means i get the doubt about wether is worth going over 20 pray bonus or not solved ;)
