  1. Nex armors are pretty good, but you're giving them the wrong use. You want to use superior elite void at Nex: it's top dps at zero cost. T90 is also great at nex, since the armor can last you for ages. TLDR: void/T90 at nex. The best use for nex armors: - QBD (it's a noticeable difference in terms of defense trust me); - GWD (even though it's not mandatory, it's worth buying nex armor to camp bandos/arma to max attack, strength, and range. Use T70 for Kril you'll do infinite runs with attunned ectoplasmator) especially because it's the best exp in the game if you're trying to max (around 300-400k exp/hour + profit) - that's it. In other places, pernix still surpasses T70, but there's usually a better alternative for the cash. Regarding upgrades, you ALWAYS want to prioritize weapons: when everything else fails, you still can use void for free, but the dps from the weapons cannot be replaced by anything else. So buy drygores. After that, consider your general tastes: - T90 tends to be the best option for bosses like Nex and Araxxor: if you do those regularly it's worth to buy malevolent and sirenic - Do ports, get lvl85 magic weapon (unless you make quick cash to go for T90 weapons) and then focus on armor. - Get superior elite void: vorago, nex, qbd, rots, all those are places where void is a good option. Eventually its worth to get Nex armor if you're swimming in cash or if you use stuff like QBD as your primary source of income (in which case I'd say keep pernix), but since you said it yourself that you only focus on a few bosses, get T70 for your everyday needs and invest in damage (aka, weapon).
  2. To people complaining about bugs.....you have companies like Blizzard that spend lots of time with betas and PTR's: still lots of bugs after a patch release. Why complain, it's not like jagex does it on purpose, some thing are just hard to catch. I really like the update (will only renew sub tomorrow), but I think there's a lot of things to improve, like: - F keys not working due chat; - Some monsters are extremely weak atm (glacors for example) - We should be able to customize the action of the item when we drag it to action bar (so we could drop leaping trout and other kind of items); - Examine should open your combat tab to show weaknesses of the monster; Just to mention a few I've seen/heard about. But I totally love the update, especially since it benefits skilling (not to a big extent, but to a already great one), it allows more diversity in pvm, it encourages pvm in groups (we can finally have one person tanking properly, even though it's not really needed atm because the bosses are so weak), makes dungeoneering fun (because those stuns are pretty dam useful) among other things.
  3. I'd advice you to do the work yourself. In the several weeks I did this activity, the obelisk_chat was completely useless since people just camped there waiting for a report.
  4. wow, 2% more melee dps....That's a freaking waste for my intentions with the rings, thanks a lot as usual quyneax :)
  5. It's very hard to predict these stuff, especially since beta keeps changing (look at sara brews example). One thing we know for sure is that when a bot nuke happens, the price of the famous buyable skills tends to rise: this refers to green-hides, adamant bars, etc. If I was you i'd stockpile on chins (you'd better max range now). The others are really up to your preference since craft/pray/construction/herblore are almost the same price. For example craft is atm 6-7gp/xp, construction can reach 11gp/xp, same with prayer and herblore.
  6. I'm at that point where I either keep going for maxed melees without things like kiln cape/imbued rings or I waste significant amount of time (especially in the imbued rings) and save time maxing/get benefits when I start pvm. The deal is, what's the value of these items? - Berserker ring, in an hour, what would be the increase on experience (let's assume maxed stats with overloads for the sake of being simpler). - Berseker ring (i) - Fight kiln cape - Blisterwood weapons polearm fully charged (vs uncharged) In terms of experience, what gains would I get by getting those items? Are we talking about a 5% average again, or something really big, like 20%? I have no clue if stats like +8 strength bonus is a big difference or not. On a completely different note, after combat beta will it there be a difference (in combat lvl) when having 50 attack and 50 strength or 50 attack and 1 strength? I made a mage pure some months ago but now that I think about it, there will be no point since he will have more than 100 combat, no longer being a low-lvl account like I wished right?

    wow RS sucks now

We get your point. You don't get ours. Although there are many things that the people that still plays dislikes, we still see the games as a fun one and with things that compensate. We play because we (still) have fun. How hard is to get that? If the game was dead the community would be much smaller.
  8. I do a lot of really small breaks (2-5minutes), but 6hours a day for me is pretty average. On my day off, unless I'm studying psychology or doing my research on lucid dreaming, I pretty much reach 10-12hours on runescape. Now that I wonder about it....Why am I not even maxed yet 0o ps: I don't care a bit about "playing for 10 hours is not healthy". When I am into reading, or sports, or even my research on lucid dreaming I can also do those activities for long periods. I do what I like and I have fun doing it :)
  9. People are making guesses way TOO early. It's not probable that jagex downgrades items like slayer helm. If the exp rates are not getting any higher according to jagex, then no point on removing the bonus. Same with void, especially if you consider that void is useless for anything other than pure offensive setups. So you won't be doing boss hunting with it anymore, but you probably still want it for lower lvl monster camping. Defenders are also getting a revamp if you read the stuff some weeks ago, so clearing them out of the equation isn't worth, although I would risk saying that for melee purposes dungeoneering will remain on top for off-hands. You can for sure put things like bandos boots > dragon boots, but the amount of situations where this clearly is going to happen is very low. Mostly rings and amulets are areas which you can pretty much cover, but even then, we still need to wait for jagex to rebalance certain stats (amulet of defense/accuracy or avas).
  10. If I choose to lvl 90-99 on c2 fishing, will it be worth to upgrade my ring to tier 8? Will I get significantly more fish and increase xp/h? What type of floors should I be doing, does it matter? Also I heard it was good exp for both fishing and woodcuttting. Would wooductting in c2 better than ivies?
  11. Why are snapdragons going down for such a long time? I thought it would just be a temporary thing, but they keep going down to the point they are close from being replaced by spirit weed 0o I have around 2.5k and still 200 seeds, should I stick to them at least until next bxp, or get rid of them for another herb?

    Chinning,

Nechs are a good option if you're looking for crimsons aswell (and drops!), but ape atoll will still be best for experience and doesn't have slayer requirement unlike nechs.
  14. Wouldn't runecrafting or hunting grenwall spikes still be better than all those alternatives? I can reach pretty high focus while rcing, but it's a pretty high dump on exp (since runespan goes around 100k)...but seems more efficient than going 200 hours for a 30-40m profit with rocktails? As for hunter I pretty much cover the ugune seeds for the rest of the year with draconics (especially since I won't get them from lair due already being 99 fm), but I go no clue how profitable greenwall are these days.
  15. Those options provide too low income. I've been using superheat for smithing and green d hides for crafting, and 12k smith exp for profit is even worse than dropping c2/barb fishing and head rocktails.
  16. Regarding my stats which would be the most fit skill to screw efficiency and lvl it while making money? - Rc would be an option but deaths through abyss (especially with the upcoming combat overhaul) doesn't seem safe, and astrals are way less profit. - Hunter is completely full of bots (in chins) - I'm already farming herbs every hour, but I believe they won't be enough even if I delay the buyables to last... - Bosses/frost dragons is out of the question (non-reliable net/spot competition), but would it be worth slowing slayer xp rates just for the sake of picking every loot?
  17. Barb fishing with low alch is just a basic low alch activity with some extra clicks on the fishing nods. From those 2 options, it's the most relaxed one, and you should get above 65k exp/hour there.
  18. Won't using spec restores a lot of banking? It's around 40 potions (3) per hour 0o I haven't done slayer for ages, so I'm kinda clueless what tasks/drops make most of the profit, so it's a bit hard to plan the inventory with spec restores :P
  19. 1. What's the most efficient way to do PP? I thought it was loot urns in the 2nd best room you could do and at 1/4 time move to best room and check urns before looting them, or should I always just loot for max experience per hour? 2. How many sceptres should I buy? Can I get the needed items to recharge one within 3 trips? 3. For hunter, should I farm secondary ingredients for the 10% hunter xp juju right at lvl81, or should I get a few more lvls at draconics without using it? 4. As for slayer, I'm currently with 30k cannon balls stored. Is the whole fury/bandos/claws/berserker ring that relevant in order to speed up slayer? I'm concerned that when I run out of cannonballs, the profit made from slayer is so low that I'd have sell the gear in order to buy more :P I farm snaps the entire time so not sure if they could cover it up.
  20. Alright cheers for the information, I'll go with snaps at least until I get greenfingers. By the way, what's the most efficient way to get it? Buy the cheapest tiier one and then stock up until tier 4, or?
  21. Is torstol farming still the best profit to go if you aren't using remote farming every cycle? Grimy spreadsheets show it as profitable, but my average is around 8,5 for each herb patch, which makes it break even. Also, i've been increasing profit of other herbs by making unfinished pots which can't happen with torstols.
  22. 1- Anyone has an average of cannon balls used per 1m slayer exp, or 80-99? Just looking for some numbers assuming pretty much best setup (extremes/ovl + turm+ familiar + rapier) 2- Is 99 rc a good money investment nowadays? After reaching 94, I'm wondering if the trouble to get 99 is worth arma runes profit. I have no intent to rush to 99 if they aren't that great money (+2m hour) or if they are highly unstable.
  23. In a place (like mm skeletons) where you're being piled 24/7, I heard claws are not the best spec weapon. Is dragon 2h or vine whip the winner?
  24. Firemaking in the jadinkos lair is the fastest way to obtain it. Remember to attract carrion/draconic jadinkos and ward off commons so you only get herb seeds. 1-2hours is usually enough to get a nice supply of ugunes that will leave you with pots for quite some runs.
  25. I'm not trying to create a "it's definitively a bug here!" thread. It's just I noticed this during a herb run, talked to some one, that person reported same issues, and saw some posts in forums about that, although most of those are "my papayas taking so long to grow", reason I decided to post it here to see if anyone has been experiencing the same since the update. I asked the person to supply more details about "graphical update that screwed farming". Besides, herb's are not that hard to confirm with cycles. I've been doing 5-6herbs runs a day for the last 2 months and never encountered this issue. About the erratic, most of the delays are noticeable yes. For example herbs becoming ready at 3 minutes after, or you're advancing to another cycle when you reach the last patch at 20:19 for example. First time I saw a 7 minutes delay though, especially since all the plants were located right in the middle of a stage (exactly 7mins after a tick and 5ish before next tick). The fact that the 3rd patch (in order of planting) was not ready and the last one was made me think about disease, but I camped there and 2 minutes after (still way before the next tick happens) the 2 remaining herbs advanced to final stage.ยด Oh well, maybe it's just my impression or that influence you said about the reboot. Will test it carefully before assuming anything else.
