  1. I've heard alot of players reporting that you shouldn't seek a slayer gear setup that has above +20 prayers, but to keep it around this number while investing in offensive bonuses.

Is there any way i can confirm this? Some maths would be nice, or 2 gear setups so i can test, because it's kinda hard to prove about it without them =P

    Thanks in advance

  2. Don't know your stats, but i'll give you my current tests so you can get an ideai:

88 melee stats, void + zamorakian spear + extremes + bunyip

Results 90 crims per hour. Around 200k loot per hour. Around 62k exp per hour, controlled, not counting hp exp.

Piety all the time, use about 14 p pots, pray range only when less than 550 hp. I bring an EEE, helps LOADS.

  3. I'm less than halfway trough my first chaotic (rapier), and i want to get a second one after (maul), leaving c cbow to last.

Considering i'm soon starting pvm (mostly duo arma/dks, and solo tds, loads of solo tds), which option:

    1. Get rapier and ccbow and leave maul for last

    2. Get rapier and maul, and solo tds with karils, rune cbow at arma (i won't be doing much arma anyway)

I know that karil is pretty high dps in low defense monsters, just concerned about which has more value to me overall: ccbow or maul.

  4. They refered a "slight increase". Imo, it won't be worth taking RoW over berserker/ony (i) to bosses.

I think that monsters like spiritual mages will be worth, because they the dragon boots are so common (comparing to other easy to kill monsters specific drops) that the ring would help alot. So these plus monsters like these.

I'm curious how the RoW will work on lootshare. RoW takes effecti s everyone is using it, or it takes efffect to the person who who is supposed to get the drop? Meh im confused

  5. After reading the guide, i still have some doubts:

Cenario: 1 guy with 88 melee stats, 1 using extremes, with tortoise, and me using overloads+brews with 85 summon and same melee stats. Neither of us can use soulsplit.

We were thinking on bringing karil, whip and dfs, because we want to take turns in tanking.

    Questions:

    - Should i tank the entire trip since i got ovls and brews? If so, dfs>d defender just for me, or for him aswell?

    - We both can buy claws/fury/dfs, but we didn't bought anything yet because we wanted to know what's worth bringing. Is claws still more usefull than EEE for us? We also wouldn't like to risk more than 4 items, so the choice would be between claws or dfs or fury. What will give us more kills per trip?

    - If i tank the whole time, full karils or karil top+ torags legs (i don't want to buy bcp/tassets just for one boss).

    - Tortoise + fire titan for me, and tortoise + w/e he wants for him right?

    Thanks in advance <3:

edit: don't worry about crashes, we will be doing this in a non lootshare world, so hopefully won't get troubles with that

  6. If i'm not mistaken when i say you still have empty buckets when you offer the ashes, you dont need more than 27 of them.

-Gather bucket of 27 slimes trip 1

    - trip 2 use ashes + 13 slimes and fill those again

    - trip 3 use ashes and 13 slimes, fill those again

    - repeat.

  7. 1- no i did it with sharks and my stats are around 87, had no problems

2- you shouldn't even need to use sara brews 0o

3- i teleported away once and it reset, i believe you can't finish it off or people wouldn't even complain about killing her

4- well the point of the fight imo is killing her before that happens lol. once again, with super pots and my stats i finished her exatly after using my last spec attk

5- Even if you're archers didn't die, it would be a waste, because the spec hits for a pretty high, and you would still be missing the small but extra damage from the melee soldiers.

Conclusion: don't panic, it's almost as easy as blood runs deep last boss, all you need is to have quick reflexes in switching and spotting the defilers.

  8. About keying, there are some tricks, but they are pretty obvious. The problem is that no1, unless a expert dung team chooses to follow them. basic tricks like:

    - give order to non keyers to gs a key door. you end up being able to key 5 doors this way, which can speed up alot. Just dont forget where they are :P

    - Dont stay for gds when you got half of map unclear. Unless you are low cb team, chances are 1 less person won't make diference, and you can multi task much faster if you call the team to clear gd and move on.

    - High cb helps alot. If you see zarfort's video, he keys a large +110 dung in 21 minutes. He used all the previous methods i mentioned, plus he didn't stop to pick any food. If you are good enough, you're combat+pray will shield you from 90% of the monsters. He survived like 10 minutes without using any food.

about floors, i prefer rushing 1-29 and large c6 all the higher ones. Why? Because i don't see myself rushing 1-55 for example, but the exp you get let's say at lvl105 in f30 is around 80/90k, so still pretty good for a bit more than half hours work. Ofc this depends on team, but as keyer, you are the main piece in the board.

  9. what low said. CR gives you an advantage to the best money maker you will have acess to (im assuming you reach 85 dung when u get it), to slayer, and it still performs good at tds. It's the best overall chaotic melee weapon for sure.

  10. I think he means fast. If you are taking another 8 seconds fill a coal bag, I think that's it. You can fill it from your inventory I think?

Oh, fast is another story. Sorry then fiery :) but no i don't think its a problem with my speed, i'm not very used to superheat yet, but im using 100% focus on the few (10) inventory which i tested with. Yes i am filling it with inventory. Assuming a 11 seconds for a non coal bag proccess, and 30 for a coal bag process, that would mean that im spending 8 seconds in 2 more actions, each one taking 4 seconds....which makes sense to me  anyway, i'll keep superheating some more hundreds of bars to see if it's really a problem with my speed.

Tieszen, i don't really got your post, but i got the last part. I'm superheating for both mage and smithing exp. I'm not asking for advice if i should superheat or not, because it proves to be way better than high alchemy, based on my needs. I'm asking if some1 is achieving a higher rate than 1200 bars per hour with coal bag.

  11. i did 50-90 farming 90% by herbs, and i can confirm, you can't get less than 5 with supercompost and magic secateurs, no matter what seed you are planting/what farming lvl you got. About the farming lvl affecting, i did some research with player's farming logs, and i had alot of troubles finding any significant relation between the lvl and the amount of dead seeds/ herbs per seeds rate. At most, i found out that (once again, this could be simply a coincidence) that some seeds generally yield a bigger harvest than others, problem is that the example i took showed 5k snaps vs 200 kwuarms, so that's why i think it doesn't prove anything :???:

  12. Grimy's spreadsheets put the death rate at 15%. So you'd be looking at a 15% increase in cost (although due to luck this could 5% or 25%)

    (65*.15)+65=74.75 mil.

To reach the point where payments would be worth it the death rate would need to be over 53% to reach the 35 mil difference between the two costs.

In other words you would need to have the worlds worst luck.

My question is what's the rush? You've unlocked everything the skill has to offer already. Better to farm snaps or torstol and make bank getting to 99 eventually whilst you achieve other things.

    Edit

Are you including herb runs in your daily trips? If not, they could easily pay for the yew payments.

If you did, well from experience i can say i don't have many problems with dead trees. The fruit trees are the ones you should try to pay farmers for, because their experience is based on a half days work, wether yew you can plant at least 12 a day. Besides, using scroll of cleasing (if you have one) should get you some seeds back in the long run.

Wtf...what are you talking about fruit trees exp being based off of half a days work? Trees take longer than 8 hours to grow, so even if you're awake for 16 hours straight your not consistently going to be able to plant and gain the exp for 12 trees every day. And why bring a scroll of cleansing up? Its not relevent at all, its used for making unf pots....

A fruit tree takes 14 hours to grow, that's basicly a half days work multiplied 5/6 (cant remember how many patches atm). And i meant scroll of life. And ofc you don't need to be awake 16 hours straight but its super easy to do 2 runs a day: midnight first planting>14-16 hous next planint> 8 oclock next planting, etc.

  14. I tested for mithril bars, but i'm pretty sure it works for steel bars aswell.

Without coal bag, i was making 5 bars+banking in 11 seconds

With coal bag, i was making 10 bars+banking in 30 seconds

It seems that the time you spend filling the coal bag, take mith ores, and take more coal makes you slower than if you just bank every half bars.

Am i doing something wrong? i heard alot of people saying that coal bag should speed the process alot, so i'm a bit confused lol
