Update: Containment is underway in Bulgaria. All troops are issued gas masks, and are also being handed out to citizens. All major cities have been contained, with military presence. Sending 1,000 troops out into the countryside to wipe off last remnants, followed by an containment force (equipped with flame-throwers) to burn any contaminated areas. Not sure how the neighboring countries are going, as borders have been shut down. Casualty rate is dropping. Research on railguns has been finished, and now research is underway for "walker" (no name yet), will have a railgun, along with a 50-cal mounted on it. Project will take some years due to the biotechnology and testing involved, and the fact that there is still the virus cleanup going on.

Germany has begun mass bombings on Bulgarian soil, and any areas that have exhibited signs of this new disease. Germany also asks the international communities authorization to use nuclear weapons, to prevent this disease from spreading out into all of Europe. Videos broadcasted all over the internet and German state run media. The pope isn't going to go against his faith just to please you, as that's all he has. Besides, the only way you can continue without him interfering is if you just keep him hidden away and not spoken to by anyone, in which case, why even have the pope? Bombing the capital of a nation in the European Union would not be a good idea...in other news, all major Bulgarian cities have been quarantined, and the virus is slowing down.

The virus seems to be airborne and also transmitted through fluids. It attacks the host's nervous system and brain, and essentially sends them into a frenzy. Containment in Bulgaria seems impossible by now, as it has spread to several neighboring countries, but the borders have been closed off in an attempt. No cure has been found yet. Evacuation and lockdown of cities is going into effect, and the death count is not rising as fast as before. Another hazmat team has gone to the aircraft crash site (virus origin?) in an attempt to salvage any findings and take it to be examined further. Any help from the European Union would be appreciated.

Bulgaria is on a high state of alert. The virus has spread beyond Sophia, and similar reports of violence in Greece, Turkey and Macedonia are being reported. Hazmat troops are being deployed in cities and the borders of Bulgaria. Citizens exhibiting strange or violent behavior will be shot on sight. Evacuation to military bases has begun. Estimated 2,000 dead, and steadily climbing.

Uptade: Coilgun research is almost finished, a prototype will be out next year for military testing. Railgun research is still underway. Sophia has broken out in a mass hysteria, some citizens have been described as having "bloodlust in their eyes", violence has broken out in may sections of the city, 286 are presumed dead. Police and riot control forces are mobile and on high altert. Citizens are advised to stay indoors and lock their doors.

Update: Troops sent to crash site have gone insane, 20 KIA, and the other 50 are MIA currently. It appears that the bodies were mangled and bloody, and some had been shot. Will continue to monitor the situation.

First successful man-made organ has been transplanted. Reaserch is continues on a more space-efficient, effective coilgun, hopefully a prototype will be out in a year. A small crashed aircraft bearing no national identity has been spotted not far off from the outskirts of Sophia, dispatching a small group of soldiers to investigate.

This is where the gas masks come in handy.

De Vinci surgical robot v2 is now in production in Bulgaria, expect a field version for the military out in the next year. With tensions rising, military funding has been increased, and a conscript is currently in question.

Update: Currently researching how to efficiently make reliable lab-made organs for transplants, and also taking over the development of the De Vinci surgical robot, since the US has been destroyed. Military spending remains normal. Lame excuse :thumbdown: I was looking foreward to crushing your puny island. All Luxembourg forces sent to the now wasteland-Easter Islands are returning home. Bulgaria is in Europe is it not? I offer you a spot in the European Confederacy. But I'm keeping a close eye on you. The military is now training special soldiers to pilot LAART's in an even better fashion. The training process takes about 3 months on average per person. I can train up to 40,000 at a time, but I won't because I don't have that many LAART's. lol. I also ask that Isreal please research some new and better infintry weapons. I'll even help fund the research. Sure.

Germany will have 5 Geo-thermal power stations built tomorrow that should produce about 150% of the power needed by the country, so you have some spare. Also theres some researchers in Frankfurt researching weapons of your choice. This just in, Easter Island has caputred Germany with its 200 man military force. Who said it has no military. My 'basic military' (which i said a few days ago that i set up) stops those 200 men in their tracks : Oh thought that all the people in Germany exploded like the ones in the US.
