  1. My Observations: WoW for a Month; I first started playing RS back in 04, made a fair few friends along the way and one day one of em said he was quitting RS and going to WoW and i should go with him, so as in this article i also went and tried the "trial" version and i was instantly hooked to be quite honest. I quit RS altogether and focused purely on WoW for a year and a half made a tank warrior got to lvl 80 and trained every skill to max, at which point i realised everything in WoW is exactly the same, reguardless of what you choose to be or do at the end of the day there is only about 5 different quests (i know theres more than 5 quests in the game but 9 out of 10 times the npc will task you to do the exact same thing the last one did) just on a different monster item or to get a nice Rare from some pointless questline. Is there a story behind WoW? Yes, there is and its really too simple. Wow seriously lacks change in gameplay and features, yet focuses heavily on opening new areas to keep the higher levels happy enough to get the newest item that is only slightly better than the previous yet twice as hard to get. Where as what i have found over the years of RS it changes day to day, i loved all the quests especially the ones that made you go "what the CABBAGE do i do here" best quests ever, and if you ever get bored its simple, go train a different skill! There is alot more diversity in RS than in WoW by a mile. To sum it all up, in my opinion as much as i miss WoW, i prefer RS. Yeah i miss it, the graphics were awesome and flying is quite nice too, not really enough to make me stay for 3x the price of RS. As for : Also, I have to comment on this: You are pretty much bang on so if you truely are ignorant at least you're lucky at guessing :P although there was a small island opened in a patch once thats about it hehe, also they update every single week and it takes up to 6 hours per server, most of the time they update the player abilities to hit more/less do something different or give it a new name its just things to keep people interested (and paying) really.
  2. you should be able to solo bandos but looking at your def id be a lil careful, theres a guide in AOW about soloing Bandos made by Toast *EDIT* Sorry it took so long i was catching rabbits hehe viewtopic.php?f=103&t=748158
  3. It really depends more on what you overall goal is to do exactly? like do you want to unlock more areas of the game itself or just have new things to run around and kill? I must say though doing all the quests is well worth it as long as it may take if you do 1 a day it will only take you 9 odd months :P
  4. there is a guide by Troacctid for WC i believe the eucalyptus trees are thoroughly explained in there; http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=103&t=762675
  5. man that song in the vid rocks, just found out what it is :P Korpiklaani - hunting song
  6. awesome i shall give that a go i think thanks for the help :) muchly appreciated
  7. probably more that fact that i got 72 hunter when hunter first came out and red chins werent so over-crowded but now days its and endless battle to get a peaceful world then when you do it lasts for about 5 minutes before people decide they want to push in and set up on top of you. What is the '1 spawn' method? cant say i have heard of it, not that i hunt that much though. ah, sorry hehe just watched the video that looks quite effective actually
  8. Okie dokie, i was thinking of raising my hunter soon. The problem is red chinchompas are completely rediculous to train on these days so my question here would be whats the best thing to train on other than them? i tried normal chinchompas and they arent too bad but i was wondering if there is any faster way?
  9. omg! woohoo !! finally got the legs, took a grand total of just over 7 hours lol but i got well over 200 snakeskins and about 60 talon beast charms
  10. This lumberjack gear is a killer to get.. i have been trying for going on 3 hours now, stupid things keep dropping boots the last piece i need is the pants, funny thing is i got the boots hat and top in the first hour, now all i get is boots and no pants :( ah well persistence is key i guess :P *EDIT* Wow, still no luck, still getting boots too haha stupid thing ah well im getting alot of talon beast charms and snakeskins so i cant complain really :) Might try carry all the pieces i have and see if that changes the drop or not -.- i give up for now, its just luck whether you get it all i guess, having the other pieces in your inventory does nothing sadly.
  11. I use mage/whip wearing rune hehe never had a problem with it and its cheap. when i mage i wear mage gear if i have pray available.
  12. i completely agree with buying guthans for slayer, it is the largest thing to benefit your tasks, just be careful not to use it with abberants or dusties or anything similar that requires a certain gear item to kill.

    Ranged?

Hi all, im currently trying to train my ranged up to 90 from 76 with slayer, i was just wondering what would be the fastest way (im currently using zanik's crossbow with mithril bolts) would a cannon be faster range exp or just a waste of money or should i go buy some chins and go to ape atol? i hate ranged so this is a big thing for me to do hehe just curious which way would make it a bit more interesting and faster to lvl thanks in advance ~Drew

  19. Hi there, this is the first walkthrough for a quest i have done but hopefully i can get a few more in here at times oh and THERE IS A SPOILER AT THE BOTTOM showing the rewards Fur n Seek Requirements: 25 Slayer, Around 50 Combat & Completed Quest Rag and Bone Man Helpful Skills: Higher combat is a plus, however this Quest is extremely easy. What You Need: 9 Salt, Mirror Shield, 9 Logs, a Tinderbox, Weapons, Armor, Some food, an Anti-posion Potion, a Dramen or Lunar Staff and Teleport Runes to Varrock What To Do: 1. Make your way to the Rag and bone man, east of Varrock. Go through the dialect under the Fur n Seek heading. As it continues he will start arguing with the mumbling sack on his back. Finally he will ask you to collect furs for the museum. 2. The rag and bone man lists the animals the museum is after, they are Adult black and white Unicorns, a Hobgoblin, a Fox, a Fenris Wolf, an adult Grizzly, a Cockatrice, a Cave Crawler and a Stuffed Rock Crab. He tells you that before he can take the skins they must be tanned, but not by normal means, you must do it yourself with salt then dry them near the Old Man, over his fire. 3. All of the animals are in the Fremennik area so that is our next stop. (To get there either teleport to Camelot and walk north or use fairy ring code AJR (slayer cave)) Head directly west of the Fairy ring, or if you walked East from the gates of Relleka, and you will find some white Unicorns. You will also find Foxes near the southern bank. Now head north and you will come across Grizzly Bears and black Unicorns. With the bears remember its the Pelt you want and not the Fur. Hobgoblins are inside Relleka itself, at the North East section. Rock Crabs are also found in this area. The Fenris Wolf can be found to the west of the path to Relleka Both Cockatrice and Cave Crawlers can be found in the Slayer Cave to the east. Cockatrices must be killed using a Mirror Shield and Cave Crawlers can poison so an Anti-poison potion is recommended. 4. Now you should have all the skins and hides etc. That you need, so head to any slayer master to purchase your Salt and use it on your hides. Now Teleport to Varrock and grab a tinderbox and some logs, or simply take an axe and cut them when you need them. Head back to the Old Man and use your Logs on the Fire Pit then the Hides on the Giant Ribs next to it. After you light the fire you must wait until it dies out, Your hide will go from Remove option to Collect. Continue this for all your Hides, When you get to your Rock Crab talk to the Old man, thats right the sack thought it was a funny joke to make you get the Rock Crab. 5. The old man will take the rest of the complete furs from you. Congratulations Quest Complete! [hide=Spoiler]For all your work you get; 2 Quest Points, 2.5k Hp Exp, 2.5k Slayer Exp, 1.5k Prayer Exp and 500 Crafting and Firemaking Exp.[/hide]
