  1. This is really cool! Tip.it has always been a great community and this partnership is awesome news :-)
  2. Thanks so much, I really appreciate that you took the time to comment on the clan. :-)
  3. Yup, I've considered joining Downfall at one stage :P I've had this nickname since 2004, I'm not sure how old that clan is but I'm sure they're great. :)
  4. Well, Hi! I'm Jordan, also known as Downfall. I'm 17 years old and am currently enduring the last painful week of my school life. If the name seems familiar to you, I'll clear up a few things first: - I am not in association with Downfall, the Runescape clan. - I am a former Moderator of Draynor.net - I've registered on pretty much every Runescape fansite & own my own one - Former owner of Stealth Skillers and Moderator of Skillers Empire (only quit recently along with Runescape) And yus, that's about it. Hopefully I'll be posting actively around here seeing as I'm off Runescape and too busy to play full time.
  5. hey :P thanks for the add!

  6. I think that most of us have already had to experience that hell hole. Never again... never... again. There are so many botters there that it's so obvious - any normal player wouldn't even try to get kills for longer than an hour in that mess of a cave.
  7. I found that Firemaking in the Grand Exchange always catches random events pretty quickly, especially once you've finished a few inventories.
  8. I know that the fluctuations in price in terms of the economy can be annoying, but it also gives those resource collectors a chance to make some extra money from what they collect. Botters have put the prices of a lot of items down, bonus XP weekends restore prices (temporarily) back to what they should be, which I think gives some fair game-play for those who provide resources in the Grand Exchange that do not bot. In addition, not everyone is capable of playing in that one day - it would be a tad unfair if it had to span over 1 day because not everyone will get an even chance, with the most recent bonus XP weekend, everyone was allowed the chance to reach the lowest multiplier.
  9. Jagex fixed the POH glitch, I'm glad. But sadly, there are still some minor glitches in my POH (Don't know about yours) which need fixing once again. Hoping for skillcapes to be fixed soon as they weren't in the recent update.

    Loadscape ?

My game never really lagged at all, taking about 1 second to get through loading screens - now I'm on about 3-4 seconds which literally slows down my walking. I can only imagine how bad it is to have a 7 second lag
  11. Its freaking annoying though, mate. Geez. Why did they change it? Exactly my point - WHY change it. Thank you.
  12. There's other aspects to my topic than just skillcapes. Read it?
  13. What's irritating is that skill capes only changed for men. On women they look exactly the same as before the update. What constituted that change? I don't ever complain about looks but this is something that I wear on Runescape literally ALL the time, and it looks like it's shrunk in the wash. The icons are pushed in so they are smaller, the cape is so short you can see our shoes... It doesn't even give the cape any prestige, it just looks like a normal cape with an icon on it... But on girls it looks like how a skillcape should. I don't know how to explain it. I don't want to have to change my character to a girl just for it to look as it should.
  14. Female skillcapes are faded and look even worse. POH is something I use a lot because it's useful to me when I'm on other spellbooks.
  15. Have you seen the player-owned-houses? Here's a little hint for you because I don't know how QA could have missed this one. I can't even navigate through my house without having to squint heavily or turn away from the screen to rest my eyes from the flashing colors... http://swiftimg.net/images/public/otsvd.png Or how about skillcapes? http://swiftimg.net/images/public/i8w76f.png Because that doesn't look weird AT ALL. Worrying part is, it's jagex, I don't know if its a bug or not. Maybe that's how they want it to look! I'm not asking for a graphical improvement. I'm asking for them to shed some light on a graphical issue that hasn't been fixed after 3 updates as if it is non-existant. Catch my drift? Both of those look fine. Go to your POH and check it for yourself, move the camera a little...
  16. This rant is most definitely not focused on the item icons - it's what updates this week have completely confused me. Why did they need changing in the first place? Yeah, the house is a little bit colorful but have you actually seen how much it flashes? I don't care about the colors, I care about how It flashes more with a decent computer playing it than it would with lets say what most people use, no video card and a pentium 4. I get high frame rates, and it's really bad. If you really don't believe me I can take a video.
  17. When you've worked really hard for the skillcape you have a different viewpoint on them. Basically, I'll give you a before and after. BEFORE: AFTER: (Exact same outfit!) Or even this: To this: What would you prefer? Not only are they shorter, the icons are much smaller and a bit blurry/pixelated. They just don't look right. If you've had a cape of achievement for a long time you would definitely notice it. I know it might not look like much but trust me, it is. Maybe it might interest you that skillcapes are still long on girls, but not on guys. In fact, our capes are smaller!

Err I can see the problem with the houses, but whats wrong with that skillcape? May not be as clear with a cape like Agility, but all skillcapes ONLY ON MALES have lost about a foot in length and have become smaller. About the same size as the Dwarf outside the mining guild's one. Example with another one of my capes: http://swiftimg.net/images/public/uuy47.png They are much smaller in size and look weird - and sad thing is I don't think it's gonna change.

  20. No, you don't. If you did, this thread wouldn't have started. It's been what, 3 days since the new graphics update came out? Just submit your bug reports and they'll be gone soon, like when RSHD, or even further back, when RS2 came out. Yes but wouldn't it be better if they could acknowledge them and at least give us a deadline of some sort as to when our houses will stop flashing grey? Don't get me wrong - I've been a long time player and haven't complained much at all. This is just bothering me at all because it's so unlike them. Plus, if the updates were so glitched, why release them so early?
  21. Fair enough, I see your point but look at the dates of the updates this week and how these bugs have been ignored. There wasn't even a mention - it's as if Jagex has no priority to fix it. The Elemental Workshop III - 25-May-2010 Skillcape and Emote Animations - 25-May-2010 Castle Wars Improvements - 27-May-2010 I don't see why they can't fix a few issues on their way, do you?
  22. BEFORE YOU READ: I am not complaining about the emotes, I think that Jagex did a fantastic job on all of them. So don't bring that up. :P I also believe this forum is for venting your frustrations on the game. These are my frustrations - if you have criticism fair enough. If you're here to tell me that cliché "stop whining" lecture, I've heard it all before, please leave my topic (why would you be in the rants forum if this stuff makes you angry anyway? ) Dear Jagex, I find it painfully funny that in a single week you've managed to make so many players of your beloved game confused and angry about the updates you make. Jagex, who's decision was it to make Skill capes (You know, the things we work REALLY hard for) ugly and short, with the icons nice and pixelated? We don't shop at bon marche... Please fix. Jagex, who's idea was it to shave the outline off pretty much every item to make them look utterly hideous? We aren't blind. Please fix. <_< Jagex, who's choice was it to add more complication to an already glitched and lacking graphics engine that has DirectX which should look good but coincidently doesn't at all. Please fix. Jagex, who's idea completely glitched up player owned houses (which you still wont fix) and made them look like flashing muddy wonderlands? Please fix. :( I do know how much effort goes into constructing new updates and content for us to use, but what I don't understand is why you would let massive bugs and graphical glitches that just don't look right occur mindlessly. THREE UPDATES later and they still aren't fixed, what now? Are you cutting down on QA testers? There's gotta be something behind this and I'm determined to find out. I don't know if you have appointed a new game content manager as a 5-year-old child or a chimpanzee that likes bright colors, but these things need fixing IMMEDIATELY before any other work is done. So dearest Jagex - before you work on your next update (most likely another bad attempt to copy WOW) prioritize for once... PLEASE FIX. If you could release a castlewars update THREE DAYS EARLY then I don't see why you can't fix some graphical glitches on your way. You were very fast when the Runecrafting bug came out with Dungeoneering, is this not serious enough for you? Player owned houses hurt people's eyes. They refuse to enter their runescape house because it is literally hard to look at. I call that a serious issue. If this post doesn't get through I don't know what in the blue hell will. Aspects of the game I've loved playing for the past 5 years are being "fixed" when they incidentally don't need any fixing. I'll keep my fire cape, thanks. ;) That's just my frustrations about things lately - I don't know about you, but I just felt like this needed to be put out there.
