Well, we've posted one of these before (probably around like a year ago), but I figured I'd post a new one before I post our TWR application. The Rising is currently one of the most active f2p PKing clans. Although many of our original members came straight from clans out of The Alliance (The, Gladz, TMRD, etc), we now have an extremely diverse body of members. We have members from all continents - excluding Antarctica - and from a tremendous number of clans. Some have been in clans since RSC and for others, TR is their first ever clan. All of our members, though, have fallen in love with our unique and friendly community. Many of our members are also in country clans such as CSF, MV, and Lowlands. I realize that CSF is already registered on here and I'm not sure what the TWR rules on multi-clanning are. However, with any luck that will not be an issue. Anyway, our memberlist currently has 77 people on it and can be found here for anyone who is interested. Our timezone is predominantly GMT, but we do have EST events and are willing to coordinate out of our comfort zone for fights with smaller clans who haven't yet ventured into GMT. I'm not really sure what else to say  . The Rising is led by myself and Supermom1995 (Sooz on tip.it forums), so feel free to PM either of us if you have any specific questions about the clan. If you have any general questions, feel free to post them here :) Oh, and our forums are here - http://tr-clan.com/forums/index.php?act=idx If you wish to see us in action, watch the video below. "If You Don't Like Me, Don't Read" <- His lordship
Monkeyfbi135 replied to British_Dan's topic in Clan Discussions
Your comment in the title of "If you don't like me, don't read" made the topic lose a lot of credibility in my eyes (@His Lordship). If you're under the impression that people are so biased that they'll allow their feelings towards you as a person affect their judgement, then why even bother posting. By similar logic, those who do respect you as a person will agree with you regardless of what you say. Take that a few steps further and we're pretty much incapable of free thought. You're sort of saying "Well if you don't like me, you must be against me and everything I stand for." Ummm, no. That's one of the most polarizing statements I've ever come across. Anyway, I just feel that your title was poorly thought out and was directed your topic at the wrong group of people. Unless, of course, you were trying to preach to the choir. The main topic is pretty well written. Idealistic, perhaps, but the same is true of pretty much any sort of mediation between clans. Regardless, DDoS attacks and/or hacking (with definitive proof) result in an unconditional ban for TR members, and RL flaming could result in anywhere between a stern warning to a kick depending on the severity, so I guess this post wasn't exactly directed at me or my clan :P -
Do you consider mass binding as sniping?
Monkeyfbi135 replied to ipwnuwitrang's topic in Clan Discussions
It is a form of attacking, is it not? Then of course it counts as sniping if you're away from the main pile :P -
DK is back alive? I go away for the weekend and they're back lol

We set up a fight for today with Ancient Fury and expected a slightly lower than normal turnout, seeing as it's Mother's Day throughout most of the world. FIGHT STARTS - 2.30 EST / 7.30pm GMT FIGHT ENDS - 4pm EST / 9pm GMT SNIPER CAP - 10 LOCATION - SPIDERS TO GDZ ROCK POSTING ON Corrupt - OFF NO BLASTS TEAM TO CLEAR CRASHERS Around the time of the fight, our turnout was looking like it'd be about 50-60. We weren't at all fazed, and we headed up to greet AF with approximately 190 options, which was almost exactly the same as their numbers. We DD'ed at east tree and prepared for a good fight. The Rising starting - 186-192 Ancient Fury starting - 186 - 192 From the very beginning, we had immense KO power. With the exception of a few bad piles, almost everyone we hit was dropped easily. Numbers in Ventrilo grew, and soon we found ourselves with a 150+ option pile to KO anyone in sight while our snipers wreaked havoc on AF's main pile. AF, to their credit, did very well. Every pile they had seemed like 150 options due to their spam, but today we were unstoppable. Our tanking was immense today, and we picked off rangers and hybrids alike from AF's pile as people dragged them around. After about an hour of fighting, DK ran in and started to pile TR. We chased them to greaters and called AF to come help us. By the time AF had arrived, however, DK hopped to another world. We once more resumed, only to be interrupted once again by DK a few minutes later. This time both AF and TR chased DK south of lava gap, at which point we saw RSD coming north. We continued our fight with AF yet again and, as expected, DK attempted to crash. This time, though, they ran into the brick wall that is RSD and were dispersed. Our numbers continued to soar as the final minutes of the fight began. We got several KO's in the last minute and then went to compare ending options with AF. For some reason AF went to greaters (out of bounds) at that point, but we chased them down and bound their fall-in leader. The Rising immediate ending - 210 Ancient Fury immediate ending - 160 The Rising full ending - 240 Ancient Fury full ending - approximately 200-210 And, of course, happy Mother's Day to our leader :-P  I had 1 kill and 0 deaths. Not sure how I didn't die, but I'm not complaining

Made by yours truly :) Short version - There are two versions of the long version. They have some overlap, but the songs are entirely different. Requiem for a Tower is painfully overused and, although it fits the movie brilliantly, some people aren't willing to look past the fact that every person who's ever made a warring video has used that song at least once :P Anyway, here's the version without Requiem for a Tower (I'd recommend watching in HD)... And the version with it... Enjoy ;)

<3: Good job, Gladz :)

It's true - returning is mandatory for TR members. If the same had been true for LT, perhaps there would have been a different result <3 Thanks for the fight. Had fun.

BK always have, and always will punish flamers. Anyone who's been around long enough knows that. If you would like proof of your council flaming my clan, please feel free to PM me and I'll send it all your way. However, I've contacted your leader and informed him (as well as provided him with plenty of screenshots), and nothing has changed.

I am American, as were at least 5-10 other TR members there. None of us had any complaints about the world. And yes, you can check out the worlds in advance - we decided on world 81 after we fought with you in world 81 for the semifinals. There were no complaints then.

I think they're arguing that TT and NG came to some sort of agreement (or TT decided on their own) to lose the fight. No one is saying that NG cheated. If it's legit, great job NG. That's a very impressive win

Good fight, TT.

Looking forward to tomorrow :P

[TICT] Rising Killers defeat Silent Europe
Monkeyfbi135 replied to Monkeyfbi135's topic in Wars & Run-Ins
Jeff never got to lead today. Coincidentally, this was probably our best performance in the 20 + 20 v 20 + 20 category :---) -
Sooo yeah, we set up our 20 + 20 v 20 + 20 fight for today knowing that we'd be the underdog against two clans with a tremendous amount of experience in CWA. However, we've been the underdog for many of these fights, so it only motivated both clans more. ¤ Melee & Binds, ¤ Classic Map with Center Bounds, ¤ Rings Charges ARE Allowed, ¤ Corrupt Dragon IS NOT Allowed, ¤ North Spawn attacks, ¤ War World 118, ¤ CE + SE takes Team 17 Capes Tr + Nbk takes Team 28 Capes ¤ Fog Gear ON, ¤ Max 4 Snipers. More than 10 minutes late is Auto-Loss. Wednesday, 31st, March. 8:30 Gmt. Rising Killers starting: 40 Silent Europe starting: 40 We started off quickly with a bunch of solid piles and never slowed down. We all knew that CE + SE could bring it back at any point, so we kept ourselves strong. Binds lacked at some points, but we never gave CE + SE a chance to bring themselves the win. As our lead grew, we sent out snipers, which sealed the deal. Rising Killers ending: 18 Silent Europe ending: 0 Thanks for the fight :) Last pile - ^Doin' it Tesh style!

That topic looks familiar  Thanks for the fight, NG.

fml  Time for a display name change! Gf :P We weren't up to par today.
-
Look at the screenshot I've posted - I started off more than two food down when I was first piled, all of which was from snipers. It definitely was not a one-sided issue :P

Sup Center Boundaries [ South West Trees NOT ALLOWED ] Melee+Binds Rings ALLOWED Corrupt OFF Fog ON NBK + TR wears team cape 28 [bLUE] COR + DH wears team cape 47 [RED] North spawn ATTACKS War World: 81 Rising Killers starting - 40 Corrupted Dragons starting - 39 (1 dc) We started with the lead, Corr/DH pulled it back a bit and then it was boring as hell from there on  Rising Killers ending - 6 Corrupted Dragons ending - 0 Gf.

Wow, now that's just impressive

We massed up today for our usual PK today and ended up with around 90 options. We heard about a cluster on W32, so we hopped there and took a look around. We found Lithuania engaged in a civil war, but chose to stay out of the fight and let them have their fun. We gained a few people and hopped to W17 where we found TRWF. TRWF starting - 120 (?) TR starting - 110-120 The fight began fairly even and we began preparing for a long and difficult battle against a strong opponent. Our numbers increased as people found out that we were fighting TRWF and we soon jumped up to 50+ in Vent. Our numbers increased and we had TRWF on their back foot. We chose not to send snipers while TRWF did and that allowed them to prey on our binders a bit. However, we kept their snipers at bay and pretty much always maintained a stronger main pile than TRWF had. About half way through the fight, DK decided to make an appearance and pull off a few hit and runs. We got TRWF to stop piling and then quickly went to chase DK south of lava gap. They dispersed immediately and we found TRWF on their way down to help us. Due to the fact that DK was no longer a threat, we piled TRWF on sight as they have done to us on various occasions in the past. Our higher options allowed us to take the upper hand once more and we continued where we left off before DK crashed. We also contacted Crimson Raiders and they quickly massed up an AC to come handle DK for us. While CR massed, DK tried to hit us a few more times and we chased them off every time, but TRWF managed to gain numbers again while we took out the trash. At times it seemed that they were going to come back and take the fight from us. Eventually CR came and chased DK to wherever it is that DK goes, and our pile thrived once more. TRWF had almost gotten back up to 100 options at that point, but we went into KO-mode once more and took the lead. By the end, as we chased TRWF around, we had them down to 60-75 option regroups. As we knew would happen, at 6 PM EST, TRWF logged out and took ending on another world. ^around 10 minutes before ending TRWF ending - 120 total (after hopping) TR ending - 150 It was by no means the best performance we've ever had, but our dedication and persistence kept us going and brought us the win. TRWF, to their credit, refused to give up and put up a valiant fight. There were several times where I thought we had them cleared, but they never gave in. I would also like to send a HUGE thank you to Crimson Raiders. You guys are absolute legends... love you <3 Any TR should know by now that there will be serious consequences for flaming. Do not do it.
