  1. Jen hears a bear climbing up a tree onto one of the branches. "Bears that climb...?" she thinks to herself. Carefully, Jen aims the arrow at the precise direction of the noise, being a skilled hunter, and looses a magically poisoned arrow, specially designed to kill without damaging the meat or skin of the bears, which were valuable.

The USNA proposes a neat little solution to the problem: Spain gives half of its IAG to Russia Spain gives its land to Russia Russia gives Cuba to Spain
  3. Jen mutters a few incantations, before retrieving her longbow from her cloak and notching it, holding it perfectly aligned with the tree to remain hidden. She holds the bow notched in one hand, before climbing up with the other until she reached a branch half way up the tree, where she waited.
  4. "Hmph, obviously I am not from around here, but back where I came from, beer was the drink of a child. I only came because the winters have been colder recently, and the bear population has been thriving here. I'll be off then." Jen exits the tavern and walks down the road towards the forest. As she nears the greenery, she notices sounds of fighting. Instinctively, Jen hides behind a tree and waits.
  5. Jen sat casually on her bar stool, drinking a glass of vodka to relieve the stress she got due to her long days in the forest. She was a hunter, and often traveled through the forest for days, gathering pelts and the occasional rare herb that she stumbled open. Usually she wore a simple dark green cloak to blend in with the foliage, and even though her long blonde hair seemed like a liability for her, she couldn't bear to cut it short. When she noticed the dark man giving the coated man the money for a beer, she almost choked laughing on her vodka. She turns towards them and flips up her hood, talking in a light Russian accent. "A beer? A beer? A true man drinks vodka!"
  6. Note the three mods of Dungeoneering in chronological order. :P ---- Doom should be equal to a bond, because she's probaly the most stable of anyone here. Dusty would be a stock. Big risks and big returns.
  7. Hah Grim, I'm two hundred! :P
  8. We should make a new tavern currency, to start our own self-contained economy... We could have the following denominations: Ascendant Archi = Thousand currencies Admin Archi = Hundred Moderator Archi = Ten Archimage = One Hegemony = 25 cents Dungeoneering = 10 cents Dungeoneering knock-offs = 5 cents Hex's Hegemony = 1 cent
  9. Yes, but people have a habit of neglecting their familliars...which is why they are harder to control. Basically they are less under your direct control and more NPCish as they age, but their additude is on how they're raised.
  10. Oh yah, I almost forgot. Dragons have four stages of development: Newborn Child Fully-grown Elder Your dragon starts at newborn and until it grows into a child, you won't be able to use transmog magic. Dragons and other powerful creatures generally require some sacrifices (in this case, won't be able to use transmog till it grows into a child). Also, Child and below are easier to handle than Full-grown, so you can actually choose at some point if you want it to grow up or not.
  11. I'm trying to figure out exactly what just happened, but sure (when I figure out)
  12. -Grim You begin flying the Ivory mage towards the volcano. Despite the incredibly thick ash, the ivory mage seems to be pushing it out of the way for you. Finally the two of you land at the base of the volcano. "It will be too difficult to reach the top by hawk, so we better start climbing." -Earth You make it half way across the river of lava, before you slip and get your leg instantly burned off by the lava. Thankfully you manage to pull yourself back up without too much trouble. -Kemios "A dragon?!? That would be difficult, and you'd need to acquire a lot of materials. They're quite hard to obtain, so I have none on hand. You'll need a leaping lizard from the swamps to the east, a life orb, the tooth of a baby dragon, and fifty thousand coins. Keep in mind it will be rather small and only a baby, but it might acquire the ability to breathe fire in the future, if you're lucky." -Nex The mage seems to be flying away on Grim's hawk, and you are forced to land because the thickness of the ash. --- Last one
  13. -Kemios "Nothing much. It's obvious you've dabbled in the transmog arts, because I see you have...wings?" As you pass the doorway, you are greeted by a chorus of squeaks, grunts, and other animal noises. You notice the room is infact a huge cavern, filled with cages of deformed animals. "This is where I keep the pride of my work, the creation of perfect beings. Tell ya what, if you can find the regents and ingredients necessary, I'll even help you make your own creature. What kind of creature do you have in mind?" -Grim The Ivory mage is with you near the river bank. -Earth The platforms seem naturally wobbly, and there doesn't seem to be anything obvious to stabilize them. You have no more sonium. -Nex "Hmm, I suppose you know too much. But what will you do to stop me?" The mage stands up and begins to hop across the wobbly platforms across the river of fire, towards the volcano.
  14. -Earth After being carried back to the river of water again, you encounter a ring of lava with floating stone platforms bobbing along the surface. They don't look too stable. -Nex The sonium becomes brittle and breaks down into a fine powder. "First of all, I am greatly offended! An ivory mage would do no such thing. Secondly, what is a Bedlam and who the hell are the Archineers?" -Grim You notice that your nether regions have already been healed. You manage to form a rather large hawk capable of holding two or three people, but it seems smaller and less powerful than the one you had before. -Kemios The old man wakes up and looks at you with knowing eyes. "Did you think that I would be completely oblivious when I went to sleep? I'm an Ivory mage!" Then he smiles at you, before getting up and going through the locked door deeper into the cave. He gestures for you to come with him.
  15. Sorry, something came up. -Kemios You learn a decent amount of information, mainly more efficient ways of transmoging what you've already been doing. The mage starts to wake up, and it seems that it will only be another turn before he does. +0.3 Transmog -Igos "Well it's a long story really, but basically there's another undead army marching towards us after the previous ones were destroyed. Then the fire mage Grim opened a gate into the plane of fire, destroying almost the entire army, but the leader seems to be fine, working on rebuilding his army." -Tairn The ground absorbs your energy once again, disappating your spell. The ivory mage manages to stand up, and starts shaking his head. "No, we must stop it immediately. This problem can no longer get worse, so we should go forward and hope for the best." -Nex "The who? I've been trapped in that darned mountain for so long, I haven't known anything happening recently." -Earth The sonium is too small to break off. You fail to make necro claws. (Necro is a destroying force, not really a creating one.)
  16. -Kemios The old coot talks to you about random stuff for a few hours in his cave, and you almost doze off several times. Finally, he falls asleep at his chair. Now that you have time to get a good look around, you see several bookcases full of tomes of various kinds. You see an amulet rack near the back and a door leading further into the cave, which seems locked. Then you notice the tome that you were reading before, lying lazily on a table near the entrance of the cave. -Nex You manage to move everyone to the area closer to the river of water, which seems much safer than the smaller rivers of lava. -Grim You manage to heal yourself. A cold fire hawk seems out of your capacity at the moment, in all the chaos and confusion. -Tairn The ground absorbs the energy of your healing spell, before you are lifted by Nex nearer to the river of water, a decent distance away from the volcano. The ivory mage seems to have woken up, and wonders out loud. "Why aren't we near the volcano now?"
  17. -Earth You sap the strength of the flames, and they die down. However, as you begin to work on your necro wings, that necro is far better at destroying than creating (other than mutating) and that it was unlikely that it was going to work. The smoke begins to surround you in a denser fog than before. -Kemios You skim through the first section of the book, noticing that you've already learned everything that is in it. As you begin to read the next section of the book, most of it seems deliberately scratched out. Suddenly, the book is snatched away. A rather short old man in fine ruffled robes and a walking stick is glaring down at you. "Don't be barging into other people's homes without permission, you hear me? You gave me quite a fright! Ah, but that's old business now. Would you like to come in for some tea?" It seems to be the transmogrification master. -Grim Your "fire hose" burns to a crisp in the hot, harsh air. As you recoil in pain and zip your pants back up, you realize that the fire is already out and that God does not like funny business. :)
  18. -Tairn You manage to form flame wards around all the party members around. Despite this, you notice they are wholly ineffective at stopping the lava, when a spray of lava catches Earth in the back, causing him to fall towards you. Once again, you catch another party member as they are falling to the bottom. The fire on Earth's back begins to spread onto your clothes, and you begin to feel sleepy from aphyxiation. -Earth Your back catches fire from a spray of lava, and you fall down the volcano, to be caight by Tairn. -Nex You arrive at the volcano and try to rescure Tairn, but you quickly realize it might not be a good idea to pick up a burning person. -Kemios "Transmog for Dummies: How to warp living things" That is all you manage to read, before you slip on the staircase and fall to the bottom. -
  19. Not blocked yet, but over time it gets harder to travel over that burning corn field, but you succeeded that time. I edited it in btw.
  20. -Earth You begin to chant your magical spells into the rock, trying to shape it into stairs, but the natural decaying of the necromancy saps the magical energy from the rockface, causing it to begin to track. The cracks continue to grow bigger, while lava begins pouring out of them, towards the other party members. -Kemios You see a small cave with a wooden door hastily closed in front of it. There are a few buckets outside, as well as the ashes of a campfire and two dusty tomes strewn on the floor. Other than that, there doesn't seem to be anything else in the tower, aside from a few bookcases and stairwells. -Grim (You'll have to remind me. And geomancy exp sacrifice is not necessary for most things. Mainly its to give something permanency, like making a portal or creating life) The enchanted stone melts quickly and seeps into the underworld. Suddenly you hear a cracking and notice that the sides of the volcano are beginning to burst. In your concentration, you failed to notice that the rock was cracking beneath you, causing you to tumble down the mountain until you are caught by Tairn. -Tairn You make a little progress before you hear cracking noises further up the volcano. As you crane your head up, you happen to notice Grim tumbling down the mountain. Thankfully, you paid attention and caught him safely. -Nex You notice that Earth has already started something of the sort, except it includes lava. You fly back to the village with the mage, who looks exhausted by now.
  21. -Hakon You remember that volcanos generally have holes in the bottom, to let supply itself with magma. -Earth You make it to the peak of the mountain, which seems rather quiet today. -Kemios After treking up the icy slopes, you finally make it to the top. Jen's tower still stands tall, but signs of decay are showing. -Nex You realize that you are currently in the underworld, and Kemios is not. -Tairn You think about your mission: to bring the Ivory mage to the volcano to seal it. Then you think about how the way back is blocked by lava, and conclude it might be best to continue onward, up the trecherous mountain slopes. -Grim You create an enchanted stone of limited magical value (what enchantment would you like?)

No it isn't. MC^2 meaans M times C^2 If you think of M as the coefficient, and we replace C with X, then we have let's say... 5x^2. That's 5 times x^2.
  23. Kay, but I did remember I asked what profession was, and then you gave me that PDF, and I still didn't understand, and then we dropped the thing because it was too confusing.
  24. Retech replied to archimage_a's topic in Falador Tavern
Errr no. In the order of operations, exponents are before multiplication. So it's actually... MC^2 = M x C^2
  25. Three actions to start. :)
