  1. Looks like I'm out of the loop for the moment. That being said, if anyone has some interesting artifacts to trade, I can let them watch me perform some bone magic. There's no guarantee that you'd learn it, but you might learn it from watching. And if anyone needs any help with enchanting stuff, then just bring a fresh bone along and I can do that for you. Yay, I'm being friendly! :D
  2. I only died from the golem because I misjudged the fact that if I could fire into the cave, the golem could fire out. I thought it would be distracted by the various people spearing it. Also I had a feeling that Ross was planning my death in this fashion for a while, as part of character development. He just waited for the perfect oppertunity. :P
  3. After I get good enough at bone magic, if you could help me abduct some Caster citizens that I could use for energy (when I'm good enough to do that, will level 10 suffice?), then I could go ahead with that. Do you think they would get mad if I personally went out and started abducting people?
  4. I was just thinking... Perhaps we could send a hoard of fake golems (basically one time smashy smash golems that disentigrate and don't need life crystals) at Caster for a few days, and then they suddenly stop. Suddenly meteors fall from the sky courtesy of Grim! Maybe some sort of "plagues" like were visited on the Pharoah by Moses. Or we could fling dead bodies into the city to infest them with plague. :)
  5. Maybe the strategy has to be to lure out the Quisitor, or maybe assasinate him, with the rest of the city crumbling. Or we could make a really big light show to scare them, so that they surrender. :P Militarily we have no hope though in a one vs one fight. Maybe with the Ivory Mages...
  6. Except that I lost most of my ice magic -.- Maybe if I got good enough with void magic I could redirect their shots, which would be much less energy draining than actually deflecting one.
  7. Eighty thousand men would be fightable, if Grim and I figured out the plane stuff. And I still had my old powers. Plane of fire and plane of water and plane of ice means three rampaging dieties which blow things up. :D We'd probaly die, but they would too. :P
  8. If only they didn't have cannons. --- I fear them, but I could just as easily have the wraiths go towards the direction of the shifters before they came to me. :P
  9. And I will try to lead them to the shifters, and we can destroy two powers at once. Besides, remember what happened last time they came after me? -Remembers destruction of Exile, but not me- --- Unless you have another suggestion with this, then I guess I have to take the risk.
  10. I think it's silly to use it during combat. You could just use it to summon wraiths and specters and stuff, which you could use during combat, while you've been completely rested. Maybe it's designed to be used during combat, but it's more advantageous not to use it in combat. Bingo, I can abduct people with wraiths and specters!
  11. Well it's not like I'm going to use it all the time, but basically you do a bone magic thingy, go work on other stuff, then come back. Besides, bone magick is a support skill, so it's not like I will be doing it during combat.
  12. I am doing it myself as well, but I'm going to need lots of bones. :P
  13. Say Mather, are you interested in abducting people, looting their corpses, and giving their bones to me? I'll make it worth your while by allowing you to watch me do bone magic for each set of bones you give, so that maybe over time you could figure out how to do it yourself. Oh Ross, what time are we starting?
  14. I have a feeling that it's not allowed. However...if you could do that... -shifty eyes-
  15. Are human bones like the standard bones that is generally good for things? I would imagine that there would be a decent bone that you could pretty much use for everything without advantages or disadvantages. Oh yah, what time are we starting?
  16. Phew, okay. I didn't want to suddenly drop dead after rolling a one. :P ---- Nex, I don't see any other option in getting human bones (I think I need humans, right?). Abducting moss crabs was the only thing I could think of. :P --- Oh wait, Dementors! :D
  17. Why are acolytes sacrificed anyways? I would think that if the acolyte was good and brought back lots of corpses, then you'd think that they wouldn't be sacrificed. The offer still stands, but I suggest that you be very careful when traversing around the forests, or you may accidentaly be abducted. Not killed, but maybe the crabs might munch on you for a bit before they brought back your bones. Maybe I could figure out a way for them not to kill certain people? Probaly the only other way you'd learn the magick though is if you went to the kinky sex witches near Potsdell, but then they'd abduct you as their sex slave...
  18. Could you...abduct people and use energy from them? Or maybe use energy from a gem? The void magick was to make it stick together, since it was going to be a mainly magical being. Nope. Void magic wouldn't do that. If you summon a wraith, you summon a wraith, it doesn't need to stick together. It needs to be the casters own energy, but the bones don't matter, as long as they're fresh. When you mean caster's own energy, that means like if I get a high roll, I succeed and feel tired for a bit, but if I get a low roll, then I faint or something? I don't want to faint all the time when I'm using bone magic. <_< Also, is there a way to drain energy from other people? Maybe some sort of machine with wires and doodads everywhere? --- Nex, would you like to be an acolyte? My original plan was to summon moss crabs which hide under heavily traversed trading routes and pop up to abduct people. Another idea was to farm people, but that seems relatively difficult.
  19. Could you...abduct people and use energy from them? Or maybe use energy from a gem? The void magick was to make it stick together, since it was going to be a mainly magical being.
  20. So here's just a random example, is this what you're talking about: Jen uses the bones of the dead people in her freezer (frozen ftw, which I think is good for this one) and puts them in a circle around her ice altar. She uses her bone magick in conjunction with her ice and void magick to attempt to create a large wraith-like creature with breath that can knock people out (soul sucking would be more cool, but I don't think I'm strong enough for that). Sorta like that?
  21. I was more interested about the gravity part of void magicks than the time part. I didn't even know there was a time part! Anyways, I remember that bone magicks involved using bones ritually to do stuff, but what kinda stuff is beyond me. I think that you can summon things, right?
  22. Well I was a good four levels higher in ice magicks before, and I didn't seem to be able to do anything special. :P Besides, why rip someone apart with gravity when you could just bash their head repeatedly against a rock?
  23. Well considering void magic doesn't seem to do direct damage like fire, then I guess it shouldn't be hard to throw things around. Maybe there's a void bolt which scrambles the target and makes them heavier? :D --- Also, you seem more moddy all of a sudden...Aspirations? :D
  24. Not really actually. I was just spamming water magick in the last dungeon because it seemed the smartest way to beat a golem. Now I have an even better way: throwing one around with void magick.
  25. It was still unlucky for me, as I'm highly unlikely to use any of these magicks, except for void. So I guess it's time to start working to get ten ice magick levels back, and void magicks. Back to the early days of Dungeoneering! -- Note, I will be out of commision for dungeons until I get to level 10 ice magicks and level 5 void. I'm too shrimpy right now to fight using my old fighting style.
