The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Don't you think it would be easy to shoot down a bomb if you know where it is and its trajectory? (You could probaly calculate it)

The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Japan redirects some of the University research to robotics (mainly for more efficient mining, not artificial intelligence and stuff), since Honda-Toyota can spend its own money on its research, since it will already benefit from exclusive Japanese government research.

Before citizens with extension cords tripped them and hosed them down with garden hoses.

Jen hides her chain. Paul, what do you think these items do?
-
Dungeoneering
(That was fun! We should do that more often!) Jen goes to her oak chest and opens it, retrieving her items. She receives her items which she had before, plus the chain. She asks one of the mages what the chain does.

Jen asks "what happened?" at the same time as Umbra.

Jen waits.

I think we're leaving the dimension at last! Huzzah! Jen lets the darkness consume her. She wonders what life will be like after permanent death (please don't make it permanent death!)

Dungeoneering
Jen tries to heal herself, assuming that she can heal at all. Then she tries to block the shade's further attacks with her enchanted shield.

Jen attempts to heal her shoulder, before carefully picking up the chain. She examines its magical properties.

Holy Mother of... Jen tries to contain it with the hail of ice, while adding more ice with her ice staff. She tries to make earmuffs using some snow.

Well that's very kind of you. I only did what I had to do, so I don't regret being a stubborn [wagon], if that's the only way to off your "major recession" routine, and various threats that you can only make as a moderator. If you were anyone else, then I would've simply said that you were incorrect and be on my merry way, but what you were doing was controlling, not "you will probaly go into a recession" but "you will." So basically I don't regret what I did, though I'm sorry I annoyed you.

Okay fine, I will. Sorry if I've offended you. I'll try to talk to you tomorrow if you feel that you want to talk to me.

Jen tries to add more ice shards to the hail with her ice staff, while backing away slowly. Then she calls them back for a moment (so they back away slightly) so that she tries to encase the shade in a giant coccoon of ice. Then the ice shards go back circling it.

Without the massive growth expected by analysts after the withdrawal from Switzerland from the world economy. :P

The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
It's not like I'm going to grow at 5% forever. I stated that it was going to be for a decade, while the less developed economies in the empire mature. Then I estimate 1-2% increase in GDP.

Jen attempts to confuse the shade by manuevering shards of hail around the shade, making it seem like he's looking at an illusion. The hail is designed to reform around him should he slice through it. Then she prepares to face the shade head on.

1% is your surplus. Isn't that basically the whole story? My point is that 5% is a rather modest growth rate, and the world should've grown by that as well. (I'm not exactly sure, but I think China's growth rate and South America add up to 5% growth rate for the world already, if Europe and America grow modestly)

Jen begins running the hell away in the opposite direction, watching to see if the shade is running towards her. She attempts to create a large ice wall between her and the shade as she runs, using her ice staff.

Well you'd think that they would've developed something better than gasoline for powering the death star. :P

Jen attempts to heal Umbra's arm back onto his body, before attempting to strangle the shade with a constricting band of ice using her ice staff.

Archi, I read the hostile takeover article. It seems to be that to take it over, you pass the company board and go directly to the shareholders. However, that can't work if the shareholders are the Japanese government with the majority... Anyways, I will go with Doom's method for budget, and you can go with your spreadsheet. With Doom's method, I'm probaly underestimating my income, so you shouldn't be worried about that. Anyways, my point is that 5% is not nearly close to game breaking, and won't lead to recession, because it is not overproduction. (Think of the exports as people are replacing their cars when they break) If it was overproduction, then Japan would be growing at 10%+, which I'm obviously not doing, because there is no overproduction.

Jen attempts to heal her minor damage, then attempts to create a geyser under the shade. (Maybe we're weakening the shade, so it doesn't inverse)
-
The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
That's nice. Your budget as of 2009 is... 5 billion I believe, and today should be around 7.5 billion. Honda-Toyota shareholders refuse to sell, and your gold mech would easily melt.

Jen attempts to heal Umbra's back, before trying to whip the shade with well...whips of ice using her ice staff.
