  1. you can reclaim the materials so you dont get screwed over by the sheer vastness of your stockpiles.
  2. oh yeah. it may be that i have ten hallways filled with stone and a quantum stockpile trying to vaccum it all up before it all comes alive and suffocates my dwarvess.. but it could just be lazy dwarves. (i actually think its the fact that my farmer is the only good brewer. he is the only one who can make any decent booze, so he's the one who does the job)
  3. i have no peasents. i simply have a spartan fortress with a giant ffing balistae guarding my door from the roving troops of monkeys that try to make off with my pickaxes. that and all my dwarves, 17 of them, dont do what i ask except when i put them on repeat task.
  4. USE QUANTUM STORAGE. it helps. i cleared nearly an entire z level filled with absolutley nothing but stone and put it all in one square...
  5. what were you doing wrong? i only have one farmer myself, and he isnt planting much..
  6. you have 14 farmers and 1 plot?... dude! get a second plot for dimple cups or caps.. or whatever those things you make booze out of are called. then a third plot, for random stuff to make more things out of.
  7. uh... ross. in the new version, you can mine out an entire z level with only one suport pillar. some people have actually done it.
  8. any plants can be made into booze. you need more than just one farm producing, or else.. well. scewed. dwarves like varieety, especcially on the stuff that makes em drunk.
  9. uhhh... i can train dragons. whered i put my dragon hunting gear.... (double post. i just haddd to say it)
  10. ohhhh. i need to put the animal in a cage...
  11. then build a trade depot and ask for dogs then. and cats.
  12. make some cages and put some war dogs near your entrance. place the cages by using the b key... and im not sure which command after that. but then after the cages are placed, hit q to asign a dog to the cage. theyll take out any enemies who try to attack you... now, ross. do you know how im suposed to use a kennel?
  13. well.. maybe you could have tamed her like a wild animal? anything that can beat a dear is god! (H&H reference)
  14. i think the fey dwarf went insane..
  15. no you [wagon], im training them to be wardogs!
  16. m working on a kenel. then i can finally put all those puppies my dogs have been producing to work. heh.
  17. dont care. it does kill the ghost things.
  18. noo.. and holy... i now have two legendary miners. go me.
  19. you COULD USE TRAPS. the dude i psoted a linkt o before made a vid about traps. try that./
  20. you could use the find ideal location to get flux stone, a river, no aquifers, and no ice mountains. and at an easy pace for you to handle. or a hard one. whatever you prefer.
  21. or you could go with my method, lock up dogs in cages, and then put traps in front of the doors. it has helped with all the pesky monkeys who TRY TO EFFING steal my stuff. ive learned monkeys.. o yes i have..
  22. ross, should i have made my seige workshop so early?..
  23. oh, and that sword i found? tis masterwork. go me for claiming it!
  24. then your in a mountain... at least, your viewpoint is. you need to find a way out of the mountain so you can start doing stuff.
  25. i jsut made a seige workshop to hold off any unwanted foes from entering my home.
