THEN STAIN IT WITH THE BLOOD OF YOUR ENEMIES. ... What?

The Back Room
Aaaand this is why ignorance is bliss. All I know about your conversation is that I probably don't want to know, and I'm happier that way. Now, change of subject. Does anyone have an idea for a new non-strategy (or semi-strategy, like MaDe) game we could play? And if one game (excluding the Hegemony and Arena-style games) on this forum could be brought back, which should it be? I have yet another (theoretically) good idea for a game, but I'm not going to mention it for a while because everyone will all scream "NO!" at their screens loud enough to break the glass.

Meh. I'm thinking of trying Mabinogi again, or maybe Vindictus, I feel like I need a good fantasy game. Oh, Ross, I just remembered - one of the elite Mabi players, Hellsyng, used to wear an Alucard costume (*gasp!* I actually know an anime character's name). It was hilarious, because his character was less than 4 feet tall. Oh, and he carried a claymore bigger than he was. But seriously, not only was he the best fighter and bard, he also made some of the best costumes. Anywho, moving on, are we going to do this today?

Mostly it's like hands-on voluntary study. And you're not really playing the role, you pick a time and place you're interested in and use what you know to create a backstory. Generally, you only hear a person's backstory once, if at all. Otherwise, it has about as much RPing as fencing and family consumer science classes.

Ross, how is it in any way similar to Roleplaying? Hey, Dungeon, you do any FPS games? I've started playing Combat Arms, though I have to get my dad to do port forwarding every time I want to play on a new channel.

LFG, you mean. It's just the whole concept makes me want to punch my computer, not to mention the artists... Anywho, it's such a shame that the Parallel Dementia comic ended. That has to be one of the best stories I've ever had the pleasure of reading, never mind the unusual art style. The emotion conveyed does what a story should, it lifts your mind and soul to a higher plane.

What is? The SCA is a worldwide reenactment organization, little RPing involved. It's mostly dedicated to honing and honouring century-old skills and concepts. The only thing that could count as RPing is when the people give themselves new names and take on a specific history, location, and time period. For some reason, the persona creation aspect makes me think of Fahrenheit 451.

Lol, I was just kidding. There's actually supposed to be a practice on Wednesday, but it's for throwing weapons. Y'know, with actual points. You can see why I'm nervous.

Obviously, judging by the title. But I've had bad experiences with that comic, and the humour is too low-brow for my taste anyways.

There are enough insane people in the Dominion already, B, now that Sarah and I are joining it's starting to reach critical mass. I don't think we need you contributing... [/unnecessarycruelty] Honestly, I just got in contact with them today. Plus, apparanty there's a... less than reputable... youth group who's going to be at Risley over the Summer. The new director was quite surprised to see a bunch of guys beating each other up with medieval weaponry in the front yard. Apparently the old director neglected to mention that... complication.

... Soft Sci-Fi? As in, a scientific concept being so obscure and indefinable as to be akin to magic? ... OOD FOR THE WIN!

The Back Room
Then I wonder how I could be missing LFG, LICD, TG and a load of other sites. Only recongnize LFG and, unfortunately, LICD... But what about EE and PD?

The Back Room
I did a mile run in... 9 minutes or something. Afterwards, I put a packet of mustard in a classmate's bag (running joke on him) and when he found it walking out of school I bent over laughing, and then ended up bent over puking. Thankfully, I missed everyone's shoes.

Three groups? For a month? I have 34 groups of 200 Hlaupari patrolling Kiev and attacking targets of opportunity with hit and run attacks until the Mongols are defeated. Pretty good mobile fortress, Ross. I'll have my Hlaupari lead the Mongols towards one of those formations, test it out. My patrols theoretically will be able to take out some of their gunpowder weaponry, that should help.

Dungeoneering
That's what I'm here for Beezman!
-
Ye Olde Hegemony
I'm already going by those rules. You can count on my Hlaupari support. Currently, bands of 200 are roaming Kiev searching for targets of opporunity, and opportunities to lead their targets towards allied defences.

1) Military schools rock. 2) Cool people use spies. 3) Don't [censor] with my Hlaupari. Iceland hopes that the laughter isn't directed at His Most Dubiously Honourable Highness of Orloglom. Hahaha! And by then, my Hlaupari will be complete! They will have the necessary means to... *ahem* I mean, oh no! Ships!
-
Dungeoneering
Why don't you make it a zombie? After all, you are a... Thread Necromancer!
-
Ye Olde Hegemony
Not quite, Ross. My Hlaupari are essentially anti-cavalry units for this campaign, and once their arsenals are complete and the Mongols are dealt with, they will remain relevant with a few tricks up their sleeves. I can't match the Mongols with speed and archery, so I adapt, adopt, and modify.
-
Ye Olde Hegemony
So, Doom, you planning to help with this? I recommend you come up with some kind of special unit to counter the Mongol horse archers if you do.
