Science has always fascinated me. I particularly enjoyed Cellular Biology, but what Wits said about the pig reminded me why I didn't want to take another Biology course. Except maybe Marine Biology, but the ocean can be a frightening place. Astronomy is a rather interesting field, celestial bodies work in such cool ways, and there's plenty of room for speculation on such a large scale. Another thing I had completely forgotten about until Ng reminded me was Geology, which also seems quite fun and I always did well with. Chemistry is probably out because, for all my love of the sciences, I don't particularly trust myself around materials of such potential injury.

And God forbid they should have any of those devilspawn called mages, almost anyone here for example. :rolleyes: From what I understand, your 'combat proficiency' and 'survival-related knowledge' consists mostly of dealing yourselves grievous personal injury, along with accidentally causing normally non-combustible materials to explode in a manner spectacularly dangerous to anyone but your opponent almost every time you roll a one.

If a teacher is somewhat good, then they can provide an important role. Without a traditional education, it can be hard to learn all that much very well. For me, at least. If a teacher sucks, they do nothing but harm.

That's perfectly ok. @Nex, that may be true, but he kinda already knew beforehand that I have some sort of magical trait I'm hiding. (I haven't actually used it yet) Good luck, then. Don't let his mace touch you, it makes magic users and anyone God doesn't particularly like explode messily.

Come to think of it, I just had to do a quarter-long book report the week before last. Began the 537 page book three days beforehand, finished the essay over the course of an hour the night before, an hour the morning of, and an hour of classes whose teachers paid little attention to exactly what I was writing during lecture. I got a 90%.
