  1. I would like for one task to be: "While wearing an Expert Dragon Archer hat, ..."
  2. That fact that you're reluctant to train slayer beyond 99 says as much. What a bizarre claim. There is another explanation. Even liking Slayer, I may want to level up other skills in which I have yet to reach 99, knowing that those skills would be of benefit in the game. Under your logic, any skill that is not being actively trained, for whatever reason, is a hated skill. If you are training fishing, that means that you hate or, at least, dislike, all other skills. So, the fact that I would rather watch the basketball game instead of the football game proves that I hate football. The fact that I chose to go to Movie A instead of Movie B proves that I hate Movie B. According to your logic, saying I do like Slayer, but for my overall enjoyment of the game, I would rather focus my time on other lower-leveled skills is the same as saying, I hate Slayer. So weird. So wrong.
  3. Yes it will. I have 99 slayer, but can't get a Ice Wyrms task because I don't have a worthless Fire Cape. And I don't have 2,000 Slayer points because I got almost all my Slayer xp before the points system was introduced. So, if I must get a Ice Wyrms task, I will need to either get a Fire Cape ( which ain't gonna happen ) or continue to train a skill in which I already have a level of 99. If getting an Ice Wyrms task, or killing an Ice Wyrms will be the elite task requirement, this is a one-off from the achievement diaries' tasks. The tasks have generally been about skill achievements, not content achievements. Being required to kill an Ice Wyrm would be the same as being required to enter the level 75 Dungeoneering Cave while wearing full Void, which is only partially about the skill of Dungeoneering. Being required to kill an Ice Wyrms, as opposed to just having 93 Slayer, would make about as much sense as being required to fish a shark while wearing a blue phat. Your comparison would make sense if blue party hats required a fishing level to wear. Seeing as how ice wyrms are a SLAYER monster with a SLAYER LEVEL requirement, slaying an ice wyrm for the diary makes plenty of sense. Don't want a fire cape? You got your compromise in the form of 2,000 slayer points, so quit complaining and start slaying. Why get 99 in a skill you don't like, anyway? That makes far less sense than what you're complaining about. Could someone point out to me just where it was exactly that I said that I do not like Slayer? I don't see it, do you see it? The problem with these forums is that people make up your response out of their own head, and them complain about what they think or wanted you to say, not what you actually did say. My comparison makes perfect sense. A Fire Cape is not a requirement of 93 Slayer. So, even with 99 Slayer ( one of my favorite skills by the way ) I may not be able to meet a 93 Slayer level achievement diary task. So, being required to kill an Ice Wyrm is a combination of a skill and an activity. If you look at the previous tasks in the diaries, they were generally just one skill, not a combination of things. So, my point, that it is a one-off, is completely valid. If one of the achievement dairies tasks was to smith a rune plate body, but only in the level 80 Resource Dungeon, I think that some of the level 99 Smithers might have a few comments on that. But, they should just shut-up and start training Dungeoneering I guess. If you point out an inconsistency within the game, you are complaining. If you say that you would rather not train a skill in which you are already level 99, you are hating the skill. If you expose the continuing Fire Cape hegemony, you are whining.

  5. Well, I have this crazy idea of treating others the way you would like to be treated yourself. If you want to play a game where the bullies rule, then be a bully yourself. If you want to play a game where politeness and consideration for others rule, be polite and considerate. Crashing is the way of the school-yard bully, the lout, the lazy and the unimaginative. Maybe you were small, skinny kid who was pushed around on the playground and crashing is you way of getting even - of getting your power back. Go ahead, do so if you must. But the emotional mindset of the crasher is the very mindset that will be a great hindrance in real life. Try to hold a job or develop a personnel relationship by such rude behavior and see how far that gets you. Behavior is in part a habit, and behavior on Runescape, although it is just a game, is still forming habits. So, the next time you arrive at a crowed spot you covet and are tempted to just force your way in, ask yourself this: What kind of son, daughter, friend, father or mother do I want to be?
  6. Penguin rule no. 1 When two Runescape players are contesting for the same spot, the one with the lowest level of emotional maturity will always win. Penguin rule no. 2 When two people are competing in real life for items of importance, the one with the highest level of emotional maturity will always win. Penguin result no. 1 Being lonely and unemployed, the emotionally immature will have plenty of time while living in their parents basement to practice their skills on Runescape.
  7. I got some of the new clothes, looked very closely, and read something on it that seemed to say, "The Gap." But, I could have been wrong about that.
  8. It will end when the penguins gain full control of the land. *evil, yet knowing, smile*
  9. I believe that we will eventually discover that the voices at the bottom of the rift belong to customer support personnel. But I could be wrong about that.
  10. This is not a good idea. Someone who is 97 or higher in assistable skills could just camp out and suck up all the people needing assistance, making it very difficult for those who want their 30K a day assist experience out of luck.
  11. Yes. No sooner do I get married to a beautiful island princess, and she gets killed. I think we would of had a good life together, her dad could be a little strange however. So, if you mean getting darker as in having you spouse killed, yes, much darker.
  12. One of the hardest things about working for a game company has to be the fact that many of your customers have yet to do anything with their life. They have never had a real job with real responsibilities. They have never been charged with producing a product or service on time and on budget. They have never personally witnessed the difficulty of accomplishing any kind of team result outside of the throwing or kicking of a ball. They have never paid rent, utilities or insurance; nor have they ever paid for a meal with their own hard-earned money. It must be hard to hear these unaccomplished voices critique and damn every perceived false move. It must be hard to listen to lengthy lists of your business failures from people who have never supervised a job assignment in their life. If I worked for a game company it would be all I could do to tell many of my customers to . Sorry folks, it had to be said.
  13. The whining about the people who are whining about the whining of the whining people is just so annoying.
  14. I know that there is a randomness factor in this game; therefore I waited to make this observation until I could see a clear pattern. For at least the last three weeks (and I do a complete shattered heart every week) I have been getting strange rocks at a much faster rate in some skills. While hunter, firemaking, farming and thieving were much slower than mining in the past, I am now getting rocks in those skills just as quickly as in mining. I realize that randomness could be the explanation even over three complete cycles, but being in more than one skill makes that explanation a little less decisive. Unfortunately, construction seems to be just as slow as ever. So, I am curious to see if anyone else has experienced what seems to be a shift in the frequency of strange rocks in any skills.
  15. The dragons' wings are too far back on their body. They will never get off the ground! agreed. Mythological beasts in a computer game need to adhere to the laws of physics!!! All joking aside tho, it does look kind of silly to have the wings attached where they are. Maybe they fly with their head kind of hanging down or something? They look like dogs with wings on their butt.
