The Golden Days, in my eyes, were back in 2005/2006 when I started. The days of PK'ing, no-trade limit, and no GE. Sadly, those days have come and gone, and will never be back. :(

You've seen them, you just didn't realize they were bots. go to a soul wars world and play and stand in a game for 30 seconds, go to the middle obelisk. like 80% of the people there are all bots. yep, not to mention all the pures camping the pyrefiends True that. Anyone who has ever been there will see that half of the players are bots. :\ It's rather pathetic to be honest. I think that even though the bot wasn't hosted on the forums most of the people don't have the intelligence to figure out how to go to Google and find the code. It is harder than you may think.

All over the RSoF there have been more and more complaining players saying that the bots are starting to make a comeback. Also: there is a new site that many of the RSbot admins have moved to. (not giving address.) But the actual *bot* information is not there. It is currently only discussion about how the court case is going, and about selling/trading RS items.

Somewhat, to update the bot you have to have some knowledge. The owner can update the codes (hosted on google) but then the bot users have to know how to update their bot (SVN). Many of the current bot users are -13 and just re-downloaded the bot from the site every time it was fixed. So RSbot is technically still alive, their forums just have been taken down.

I randomly use Omegle. It can be fun to see what kind of idiots you end up talking to. One time I got into a lengthy conversation with someone who was convinced they were god. That did not end well.

It depends. If I they are coming in drops of 25 coins at a time then I will typically just leave them. But if they are drops of 500-700 then I will pick up for sure. :)

Some of you may know that a large botting site (RSbot) has recently been shut down. The site had a massive member following of just over 49K users. They had a record of users online at one time at about 3K. RSbot is known as the largest open source RuneScape macro program. The reason for it's shutdown has been credited with the fact that the owner of the site has had an on-going court battle with Jagex's lawyers. It is over the issue of violating copyright laws. The owner (Qauters) was ordered by British courts on Tuesday to shut down the site or face a fine of ₤1000 per day that the site was left up. With the threat of such a massive fine the owner was forced to shut down the site until the case had concluded. The recent shut down of this site may deliver one massive blow to the RuneScape economy; due to the large amount of players that use this bot to gather items such as logs, fish, runes, etc. the prices of all of these are likely to increase dramatically. Of course items have already started to rocket due to the fact that the 2x experience weekend is fast approaching. But pile on the issue of slower production of commonly used items is essentially inevitable that these items are going to rise. It would seem that Jagex is going to make an example out of RSbot, do you think that they will continue going after other botting sites?

Not a chance. You could offer to pay for it and I still would turn it down. I don't want to be 65 and have some saggy tattoo of some random skull or something like that. I don't like piercings either, but at least you can just take those out.

*feels rage from OP* Sorry you're so angry. Have you considered talking to someone? Like a professional? Getting this upset about other people being idiots is a bit over the top, if you ask me. I would have just ignored the idiots throwing the bowling balls. In fact, I would have sat there and enjoyed watching them show off their lack of braincells. There are always going to be people like this, it is best to learn how to live with them, or ignore them. I did laugh at the part where you said the bowling ball broke, though. :P

I lol'd at this. I am actually from the rants forums. You may think that most of us are immature. But we are mostly just misunderstood. :P The rants forum is a good source of humor; and is at least unique to the rest of the RSoF. Back on topic: I have a 2/3,000,000 chance. So I am really banking on this trip. :P To be honest, I don't know if I would even want to win. I think that I would end up saying something stupid to MMG if given the chance to meet him.
