1) A very sizable portion of Jagex's clientele is Americans, 99% of whom can't go to the event. Therefore, it stands to reason that a significant portion of tickets sold will be solely to obtain the item. You're naive if you think that Jagex didn't intend it to work like that. 2) P hats came out in 2001, do your research before you make yourself look stupid. I agree with this. Dont make yourself look like more of a fool than you already are! Opps, I mean 01 then :) So you're claiming Jagex's Runefest isn't really anything in real-life??? but just a ingame banner? If the item is free, how do I get mine without buying a ticket? No, you have to buy a ticket membership. Once you pay for the ticket membership, you can get an in-game banner Bandos Godsword at no real life cost.

That thread is about the new item for Runefest 2010. This is about people complaining about it, controversy over Jagex and its "RWT", and whether they should or should not be handing out this amazing, unfair, hugely advantageous item for 70 euros. I'm here to discuss, that's why it should in the General Discussion. I find it ridicioulous how everyone is getting pissed over this small, ingame, untradable, essentially useless, bankspace wasting item. 1) "Jagex supports RWT" This is not for 70 euros. Runefest 2010 ticket is worth 70 euros, the item is free. Anyone who is buying it is buying the ticket. Jagex is giving the item as a thank you for coming item. It's as stupid as saying people are paying $5 for membership and then blaming Jagex for RWTing member's items and services. 2) "It's unfair for those over the seas" Go cry to Jagex to give you phats and masks because you weren't playing RS in 03. Ugh, just had to get this out. :thumbsup:

Not trying to be rude, but you should be going to chill with people from everywhere and to have a good item; not a silly item. You'll end up disappointed.

If you wish to be picky, then paying for membership is money for pixels. Because paying $5 through the internet is comparable to $75 + travel costs, and adding that going to Cambridge is only feasable for both adults and those living in the UK(or northwest Europe (like 5% of rs players?). So this "crime" is justified as long as you can afford it, right?

Boohoo. What about all those member's only holiday events?

:thumbup: Yep, totally agree. Doing the whole thing would take years (imagine the time just to LISTEN to every piece of dialogue in game, not even to record it) Cutscenes, won't take TOO much effort, but will have a fantastic effect.
