  1. Cannot wait to link Runescape to my Facebook. My friends will be surprised, and most definite they will go play Runescape as well! .. No, no. I'm not coming out the Runescape-closet.
  2. Don't forget the Spirit Jelly Familiar.
  3. Great guide, used to get my witchdoctor legs. Question; is it possible to get the mask in the same week you got the legs? And furthermore, which huntermethod do you recommend me for getting Farming Potions fast?
  4. Thank you, I'm working on DG (and Herblore and Smithing and Slayer and Farming). @Gremmy: There certainly is, according to RSOF Red Partyhat touches the 1.5B alone.
  5. Nice small update. Nothing groundbreaking, but nice.
  6. I was hoping for an high-end Crafting update :(.
  7. Read the update announcement. The urn will fill with scraps and offcuts, so not the items.
  8. Normal infernal ash = 62.5 xp. Fills urn for 4%. So with urns 75 xp per ash. So it's not that good really, just some mindless extra free xp. Per 100 abby demons 7.5k pray xp.
  9. I like this thread (and it is needed), but it ain't got no numbers mate!
  10. You can always ask questions. I never staked, merchanted or practiced illegal activities to gain money.
  11. In my opinion that would not be completely fair for people who do not like training combat if that's the case.
  12. I already bought the supplies for 5k Prayer Potions.
  13. For most skills like your herblore example, you have to make the money to train the skill, and I hate making money, because I find it boring for some reason, and high level untradable updates like this will make things skyrocket in price. It may not be a bad idea to stock up on adamant/runite bars for the anticipated smithing update, just like how bones rose for curses and herbs rose for extremes. I want untradeable high level rewards for all skills. So smithing, but also unbuyables like Hunter. Everyone will have skills which he likes which he or she can use to get nice rewards. Furthermore, you can always gather the resources yourself if you don't like moneymaking. It's so easy to say that Herblore is expensive, however you can actually make money when you farm the herbs yourself.
  14. Non-combat and combat do cross-over, but at the same time, there are usually alternatives. If you don't like training combat and thus can't trade at the monkey agility course, there are still a lot of other ways to achieve the same ends, and the gap separating them is relatively small. If you don't like training combat, you can still find team mates who enjoy combat and just skill in Dungeoneering - there are a lot of skillers with fairly high dungeoneering already. I don't mind turning it around if you're providing alternates, but Extremes are not an alternate - they're overwhelming. Mid-high level boss hunting for profit is really limited to three things - Bandos GWD, Armadyl GWD, and Dagannoth Kings. The other two God Wars Dungeon bosses drop far too little in comparison, and other bosses are on different tiers (KBD can't really be compared with them, nor can Nex.) However, not having Extreme rules out all three of them, as crashers abound at all three places. In fact, at Dagannoth Kings, crashers now try to kill you for your items, too. Other people using the Ape Atoll agility course doesn't affect you very much when you use the Werewolf course. Other people using Extremes has a huge effect on you when you don't use them. I'm all for rewarding people for high skills, but in the competitive combat situation we have today, all that does is force players to train skills they don't like, because they aren't really given any other choices. On the other hand, an idea that's been posted many times here and on RSOF with regards to Extremes would fix this problem nicely - add a store that sells a limited amount of Extremes at higher prices, or add Extremes as rewards to high level treasure trails. Instead of an "Herblore-or-bust" approach, reward people that train herblore, but still provide alternative methods to people who dislike that skill. But isn't that another discussion? That with the growing and higher levelled community there are too few spots? Perhaps there could be instanced dungeons (as a high level Slayer reward)? Because this isn't really the fault of Herblore only, but of the heavy competition for the few bosses there are in Runescape.
  15. I disagree. It is not impossible to slay bosses at the God Wars Dungeon without Yaks and Unicorns. It is not impossible to fight the Corporeal Beast without Extreme Potions - it just is a bit harder, which I think is fair as people who put that much time in a combat-aiding skill deserve an advantage over those who do not. Thank you for the constructive reply, though.
  16. Not everything, but most skills are aiding in combat. For example Fletching - making bows & Fishing - fishing food. However, the skills that don't center about combat could have other unique features. Don't focus too much on my examples.
  17. Not too long ago the Herblore skill was updated with untradeable Extreme Potions and Overloads. It granted huge advantages to players who trained their Herblore to an high level. Even though I do not have such an high Herblore level, I particularly liked this updates. It was a great incentive for players to train the skill, instead of buying the potions of higher-levelled players. It got me thinking, why can't that be the case for every other skill? Like a superbow for 95 Fletchers (and a slightly less good bow for lvl 90 Fletchers). Great armour for level 95 Smithers. Instanced dungeons for Expert Slayers. Catching a whale for superfood. These are just quick examples, there could be so many items or powers. Some skills already have this in some sort of way: - Summoning (Yak, Unicorn, Steel Titan) - Dungeoneering (Chaotic weapons, other point-rewards) - Herblore (Extreme Potions) - Slayer (however I don't think this really counts) In my eyes it only has advantages: - Great incentive to train all skills - Skills that have been neglected for long time will be trained again - Advantages for high levelled players - New goals - A reward other than skillcapes for most skills - Focus of Runescape will be on rather skilling than just making money Of course, Jagex should take care they do not unbalance everything, but it could be implemented in parts. And yeah, it would be harder for low levels, but isn't that the idea of this game? Getting better if you want to compete for certain things? I put this in General Discussion rather than Suggestions because I want to discuss the option to implement untradeable 90+ skill rewards, instead of actually suggesting items or powers for those skills.
  18. This looks like great restrictions to use. Jagex tracks botting players, but there will be always macroing players; balanced trade or not. But what if Jagex implemented a rule that items bought via the GE can only be re-sold after 5 days? This would hurt merchanting a big deal.
  19. Moreover, Jagex stated they implemented balanced trading because of fake credit cards in Asia. At least my idea cancels out goldfarming.
  20. You forget one point I think. Because of unlimited trades, GE values will become the market values very fast. This way merchanting will be a lot harder. However, you do have a point about merchanting. I'm sure there is a solution to that as well, but that needs more thinking from my side.
  21. The number of quests could be altered of course, but just so you know: 166 quests = Quest Cape. Guess you were thinking in Quest Points.
  22. I guess this will be a small wall of text. However, I hope you read it and have some feedback! Because of RWT JaGex decided a while ago to limit trading with being the maximum unbalanced only to up to 240k coins if you have been friends for 3 months. Because of this measure players had to find ways to trade their items against market value instead of the GE value, which could differ very much. This is currently been done with junk trading. However, I think this is the opposite world. This is not correct. This is an unhealthy economic situation. I believe that RWT can be stopped not by making it impossible, but by making it not worth the effort. So I would like to suggest this idea: 500 total + all F2P quests done: 100k unbalanced trade possible 1000 total + 100 quests done: 500k unbalanced trade possible 1500 total + 120 quests done: 3M unbalanced trade possible 1750 total + 140 quests done: 10M unbalance trade possible 2000 total + 166 quest done: Infinite unbalanced trade possible I can imagine this seems very heavy for you all. But let's have a look at this. I'm nearly at 2000 total and 166 quests. This has taken me 5 years, but due to temporarily quitting an effective playtime of 4 years. Let's say a RWT worker is twice as fast (he also makes longer days), and is able to get 2000 total and 166 quests in 2 year. According to this article a goldfarmer earns €0.30 per hour. Let's say he works 12 hours a day, that makes €3.60 a day. He has to work 2 years grinding on the account, so that would be 365*2 = 730 days (I don't know whether goldfarmers have weekends and holidays, but I don't think so) The employer would need to pay him a salary of 730*€3.60= €2628,- for him to have an account which he can use to freely trade. He will assumably not have much money by then, because of the speed he needed to level up. Furthermore, 2 years of Runescape membership cost €5.95*24 = €142.8 (holy, that's really what we're spending!). I haven't even mentioned the cost of a reliable internet connection and the deprecation of the computer, the accomodation etc. So the employer spends at least €2800,- for such an account. If 1M money = €10,-, the employee has to gain 280M (probably even more, due to still getting salary) to break even. Not really efficient, huh? Especially for the Asian people who in general cannot miss such a chunk of cash for a long while. Of course, there still will be done some RWT trading on a small scale, probably with lower level accounts. But I honestly think it's impossible to cancel RWT out, especially because there are loads of people who sell their entire account when they quit, which is still possible with the current anti-RWT rules. The advantages: - Runescapers are able to trade what they want yet again. - There is no need for junk trading anymore, which was very time-costly and not very RS-related; you can now spend that time doing whatever you like in RS! - There is an extra incentive for people to increase their total level and quests. The disadvantages - Enables RWT'ing slightly, but on a very small scale. - Functions like Lootshare and Coinshare would become less used. But isn't that unfair to players who don't like questing/skilling? No. It should be seen as an extra reward; players who do not like questing and skilling still have the same Runescape, and players who like questing and skilling have the advantage to make trades easier. I hope I didn't waste your time!
  23. Not possible without junk. On another note: there is a lot of fuss about some videos of a guy named Sunlink who is loosing over 100B in rares (mostly santas) on youtube. Apperently, they are fake, but they santas are rising a lot lately, naturally or due to this rumours? I mean I have no junk at the moment, but how could I do this transaction? I have no clue myself.
  24. Okay. Let's say I have a Red Partyhat, and I want to transform it into a Green Partyhat, an Elysian Shield and excess cash. How would this be possible? I have no junk.
  25. Convince him he needs a dentist and afterwards you can use your tooth detractor on him. K'Chunk's tooth is just pickpocketing. And how do I convince him? The chat options just make him mad. Talk about the pain, he'll say something like: "You make it worse stop" and keep using other phrases to enhance his pain. After a while you'll get a bar (just like Gnarly's happybar) where you'll need to select the right (friendly) phrases to convince him in letting you pull his teeth. SO just keep talking to him? I'll try. Thanks. Exactly. You're welcome.
