Havent been on tip.it for a while, In my opinion its being overrun by pixel sigs and novice graphic makers. In the time I have stopped coming to these boards, I have learned many a new skill, and this would be a great oppourtunity to excercise my new found skills. Im in.

ya, im sure im not gonna get the animation done, but ill try my darndest... lol. i was just trying to follow some simple modelling and animating tutorials, but i never found one for materials... thanks for the help IW.

ok, the other day, my teacher tells me they would like me to create an animation for some competition (if any of you have heard of FIRST robotics, thats what its for.) and I know nothing about 3ds max. i've been going over some tutorials, but one thing i cant seem to find anything about is the materials. I would like to use a jpg image as my material, but i cant find a load button anywhere in the material editor. If anyone is familiar with 3ds max, could you please help me? thanks...

ok i have something rendering in bryce, i think i can get a sig or 2 made with some previous renders, in the mean time does anybody want that sample one?

I recently took a break from making sigs and what not, but i've deciced to try my luck again and start again, and so i'm opening up this free sig shop like thing... I will be giving away a few free sigs, all you have to do is ask for one just say what you want on it, ex. ya I used a fractal and I edited the crap out of it with photoshop. I also used a fractal in my current sig. And I guess your right Sk84life, ill try it in a blue. I'll repost when I'm finished. *EDIT heres the blue one

well i'm desiging a graphic site for me and and a few friends to showcase our artwork, in a few months i'll buy a domain and upload the site, untill then lots of work has to be put into the coding of the site. anyway, back to the actual topic, Rate this layout: C&C welcome, the domain may be different, but its only temporary.

i'm 15 and in grade ten, i'm studying computer communications which is mostly design and animation, (Macromedia Flash, Photoshop, 3DS Max, and web design, and some basic video editing), I also study programming and computer engineering. I'm going to continue through all of my school years. I already have a few years experiance in Photoshop, but I'm still nothing compared to alot of things I've seen here, although I'm not terrible. Do you think theres any chances of me getting a job like yours in the near future? sounds like it would be so much fun :P.

nice, real nice, not as good as some of your other ones i've seen (havent been around TIF alot lately, since i quit RS.) but still nice. i'm still not really into the pixle stuff... :wink:

well i started making some pics again because im working on a website, and i got bored and decided to attempt to brush something, i took a bryce abstract, and then i brushed overtop of it, i think it had about 17 layers... then i cut the best part out of the pic and i got this... what do you think... its my first ever attempt at brushing... i know the text needs work... anyway rate 1-10. cc welcome!

thx guys, it's really simple actually... first you make a new document, 100cm by 100 cm... note is cm not pixels, then over on the left where you pick your colours, make the top one black and the socond one any colour you want. I used red. next go to filter>render>clouds, then filter>render>difference clouds. then hit ctrl + F. next go to filter>artistic>Plastic Wrap and use the default settings which are... Highlight Strength - 15 Detail - 9 Smoothness - 7 Thats it... its so simple I dont even need to use pictures... but if anyone has trouble with it i can add some.

well i was fooling around in photoshop and i got this cool looking texture like thing, and i was just starting to wonder to myself what everyone would think of it... so anyway here it is rate away... if you like it you can use it... or i can show how to do it. it only takes seconds.

YEES GO CANADA! its pretty good, it took my sister like a month before she figured out that commercial... lol anyway i'd say 8/10 too... theres lots of things you can improve on...
