EDIT: besides, 2008 was already the year of the clan updates? - As was 2009..
Wasn't '09 the year of upgrades? I forget, it's all pretty meaningless anyway. Still, I'm excited that they're promising to further increase the role of clans in the game.
They were "upgrayedds." :lol:
But really, 2011 is the "year of clan updates"? Can 2012 please be the "year of not screwing up our game with every other update?" Pretty please? :pray:

200K per hour is certainly more expensive than 895gp, granted. But you're telling me someone with 200m in their backpocket for the plate would honestly scoff at 200K an hour? They most likely have money making methods that far outweigh that.
The added ability makes more sense though. Glories are used pretty much ubiquitously for those who lack furies anyway.
Also mind that is 200k per hour for each piece or 600k per hour for a set.

However much they may go up will be worth it because in the time it now takes to accumulate the crap for a trade for an item's "street value" you can use that time to make the extra amount of cash and far easier as well. :thumbup:

Why do people not feel that glories are worthless due to their 'degrading' nature (the use of rechargable teleport casts), but Verac's skirt is worthless? When you're earning millions slaying monsters in addition to anything else you do to make money, does it really matter whether you use 895gp for a Games Necklace or 80K to fully repair that skirt at maximum? They're both negligible amounts.
There seems to be a distinction between some items that classes them as expensively degradable, but not others. Why?
Because a Glory's degrading ability is an "addition to" ability. If you use it up, it loses that ability, but not it's stats as well. Skirt will degrade then become completely unuseable.
Plus you can pick and choose to use up the ability as you so please much like the DFS special ability to launch Dragonbreath.

It wouldn't be popular, but what if armors had a mechanic that they could only be used for a set amount of time during another given time period. Perhaps a 2 hour a day or 10 hours a week thing.
It's not a good idea, in fact, I think it sucks, but it's something different at least.

Can do, I support :thumbup:. Though tbh Vesta&Morrigan are way cooler. I want untradeable level 90 armour looking like their gear.
I don't think Sliske will get his own quest because that was confirmed, but we'll see him at the ritual methinks, and he'll be up to something. As will they all.
Would be awsome to get some kinda of crappy base armor/weapon that you can gear up and ad stats an effects based on your levels. Enchanting it with magic, Imbibing it with power with Runecraft, making it stronger with Smithing, making it loook cooler with Crafting, adding a poison to it with Herblore, adding other parts with Construction, etc.

the aversion i have to crossbows is the short range.
nex runs around a lot.
the main benefit of the handcannon is the long range.
On rapid, I believe the handcannon's range is longer than the distance you need to run to avoid the Nex has marked you for sacrifice
So it's possible to be ranging Nex, she marks you for sacrifice, then you immediately get the message that you ran away far enough from Nex to escape her, even though you did not move.
Simply because you were already far enough away.
that's really really really long range, and definitely shouldn't be underestimated for a boss that likes to run around as much as Nex.
Is it true her blood spells are more powerful five days out of the month?

I wouldn't really consider myself bitter, moreso hopelessly optimistic, and at about 6 feet tall, I'm not exactly little. Person? Alright, you've got me there as my college class was able to deduce that I'm actually a robot.
But yes, I did mean throw your hat into the ring. I take issue with people who criticize without any suggestion of their own. It's not so much a "bitter little person" thing as much as it is an expectation of contribution. If there is a problem, the best way to fix it is to get as many ideas as possible. If the furnace is broken, you either try to fix it yourself or you call a mechanic in to do it for you. You don't sit around complaining about how cold it is.
Yes, fair enough. Even if you can't fix the furnace, there is nothing wrong with identifying that the furnace is broken and needs fixing. Problem is, if you try to call the mechanics,(Jagex) they'll just tell you it's not that cold and to stop bothering them.

Any idiot on the street can offer criticism, it's harder to actually offer up alternatives. Care to throw your hate into the ring and make a suggestion that will offset the power of high level armor/weapons?
Wait, how is that hate? What I said wasn't in any way shape or form to the degree that it could be construed it as hate. I think you want to make me seem like some jerk to discredit what I said.
Do I have an idea for another mechanic? No. Do I think that the degrading one has been overused? Yes.

So at Jagex, the updates that should alter the game forever they make every attempt to make sure it doesn't, but the run of the mill ones that shouldn't end up changing the game forever do so anyway? :blink:

So if the Hati wolf is only going to be around for January, and we will get it soonest a week from now, it could be here for like 19 days? Gf developer time there. Really, quite well played Jagex, way to bring absolutely nothing long term to the game expect content that's accessible for 19 days and then becomes a part of lore.
Pardon my language but that the [bleep]ing stupidest waste of developer time I have ever heard of. We need a boss for years and they finally release two in one month, oh but don't worry, one is going to be gone for most of the year anyways. So stupid, maybe that time could have been put into something lasting.

Well now it may not seem like such a great idea but they did mention that this will be the first of many seasonal updates. Once they take it out of the game it's not gone forever, it'll be back next year. The way I see it is, it's guaranteed content to look forward to. This time next year we can all look forward to three or four more regular game updates PLUS the Hati wolf PLUS whatever other seasonal content may be out at the time.
So I do see this benefiting us in the future. Either that or it will end up like all of the holiday updates, no one wants them but we do them anyway.
Plus, if they have it every year, then they could omit an update week like every two months which means overall they'd be doing less content. That is totally in line with the Jagex philosophy. :thumbup:
