I think they're saying that the phats won't drop in price but hopefully won't rise massively either.. but yeh its a bit confusing.

I was in the whole - I don't give a toss camp about SoF but this latest tradeable item is well a load of crap.. The only positive is at least its only cosmetic because if it had been a stat boosting item that would of been serious bad stuff. Let's hope they stop here.. Also, the way they plug membership with the SoF really makes me feel a bit sick. I presume people do buy spins? I honestly don't know anyone who openly admits to it.
Fish Flingers - looks kinda cool but I hate fishing of any sort so I don't imagine I'll be checking it out for a few months.

Im having trouble logging in right now - it was fine in world then exited to lobby and got signed out to login. Now the main RS webpage will load but when I try to sign in anywhere it wont.

My friends in RS I've generally made from minigaming with. I was super into Castle Wars and now at least half my list is filled with CW players who tend to be very active on RS and high levelled which is always nice for some advice. The rest of my list is people I helped get Torsos and people I've met randomly doing stuff like fights in the duel arena or just skilling along. ASK if you can add people and most will be happy to talk or just join a clan. But seriously minigames are the way to go in my experience.
Or you could just borrow a party hat and pretends its yours - you'll have a full list in under an hour and 5% of them might just turn out to be genuinely nice money grabbers.

So here is the story. I've just returned to RS at the end of May - I recovered my account because I though I'd forgotten my password. Just now I was happily fletching away when someone who was on my f/l (but I don't remember adding and you'll see why) message me to say: Hi, please reply my friend says that you hacked his account!
I was like WHAT?!?!?!?!? After having a chat with this guy who was obviously quite suspicious of his friend it transpires that his friend claimed that my account was 'his old account that he had botted up'. Anyway bit worried by this partly because this guy said his mate had only been using my account for the last month. I hadn't been on RS at all for the last 9-10 months before returning in May - I've also changed computers since then so I couldn't of been keylogged or whatever. All my information for my recoveries etc has no relation to my real identity and no-one knows the email I have registered to my RS account.
Basically I'm a bit confused as to how on earth this person could've accessed my account! Do I need to do anything? Whats also very strange is nothing seemed to have changed on my account - it was left with all its items none of the skills changed - though admittedly I wouldn't of noticed a few levels probably - my memories not perfect.

The first article as other have said read like a RSOF rant - perhaps very slightly better researched and marginally better written. I'm fed up with doomsday articles by people who seem to be still playing - I notice Ts Stormrage still has an active adventures log and was runespanning only yesterday, I see he hasn't taken his own advice to quit yet.
The other articles were much better I particularly liked the D&D one - the combat beta one brings up some interesting points as well. I have to admit being a bit aprehensive about the results of the changes on RS's combat system.

I think the order of precidence that he gave is fairly well accepted by most people - I doubt when just posting some friendly advice he can be bothered to give sources and large bodies of research for all his advice. I think if you feel theres something wrong you should say so and give your reasoning behind that.
For instance if I tell you that a Ferrari is faster than a Mondeo its a generally accepted fact - I don't expect to qoute you both their road speed tests. Bad example perhaps but basically - lay off son.

Kiting is the process of attacking something and then moving away from it and then attacking it again like is often done in Sara GWD. Or for instance sidestepping could be called kiting - think how you would kill the 360's in the Fight Caves. It is often good to kite with slower weapons as then you lose less DPS - within the time you move away you may not miss an attack turn before attacking again.
Chaotic Crossbow - the best range weapon for many uses (not sure about this newfangled Royal xbow though) often used at Nex, Arma GWD etc..
Chaotic Maul - highest strength bonus (good kiting weapon). I think it may have been outclassed as a crush weapon by Goliath Gloves now but I'm not sure.
Chaotic Staff - as far as I can see not worth the tokens considering the alternatives e.g: Polypore
Arcane Stream Necklace - great for mage offensive bonus worth getting for only 30k.
Scroll of Life - useful if you farm a lot probably worth getting.
Chaotic Longsword - I believe it is the best weapon for Bandos GWD not sure apart from this.
The Shields - Not really sure about these I see them sometimes mentioned as viable alternatives to Spirit Shields but I'm not well up on which ones and where to use them.
There are probs people who know about this than me - but thats a quick overview.

I don't have the time right now to watch both vids but from the first half of the first one it does look amazing. I just hope it doesn't suffer from being mediocre at everything and good at nothing like often happens with stuff like this were they try to combine the best of many different genres etc.. Definitely something I'll be keeping my eye on though ready to pick it up this summer or w/e..

Maybe I will right now I'm planning on concentrating on some of the other parts of RS for the time being. The amount of time I spent at BA and CW over the years, let's just say if not for that time I would probably have another 200 - 300 total levels and be nearing max melee's.

I used to be a serious CW pro player was in a couple of the big clans like CWL back in the days when IP address made all the difference to your click speed. I played with the likes of pushbar2open, Leigh Link, Phoenix Odin, Kingmdatta, Redcard333, 2005 Scotty and many more who's RSN's I can't remember. I was seriously dissapointed at the state of W24 and 82 Castle Wars when I returned to Runescape buts its good to see that something closer to the old style of CW is still going on.

Playing Skyrim and completing all but 1 quest in the game due to its inability to trigger!! Happened on all my characters as well.

Right I would like to know a pretty quick way to do this and I mean quick as possible.. Obviously not looking for 45gp/xp methods but something a little expensive is fine.
Advise away :)
