  1. Great idea! I really like it, but I agree with the 50% def. drop would be too much. My post in mainly in response to, well, I don't know who it was, but it was about the ability to program it. The 10 squares probably wouldn't be a big deal because they already have that in the magiks [whatever they are] where it hits multiple enemies, so that's not a big deal. The increase & decrease in stats wouldn't be an issue because potions and curses alter all of that. The party part probably wouldn't be too big of an issue; I don't know if any of that was worked over in Castle Wars, or whatever they are, but I don't see it being a major issue. So from my standpoint I'd say the only programming problem would be the attacking from behind & attacking from a lower point. Neither of them have things already in RS that compare to them, so that would be totally new programming, and I don't know what the engine looks like so I can't say whether or how it keeps track of a player's altitude & direction, but I have faith in JaGeX so programming-wise, this whole idea shouldn't be a major issue. That's just what a small-time programmer says.
  2. Well, I, for one, cannot completely give an opinion either way on this. It's totally possible Jagex is taking out large sums of wealth from people. It'd be easy for them: they control the servers which save the account/bank data, all they need to do is erase. And even though they are a company and if people found out there may be mass quitting, but it'd be extremely hard to prove without insider evidence (They could say they did nothing and no one would know). They, as a company, have a lot to lose if the economy goes totally haywire because if it does, there may be mass quitting. So it's possible they're siphoning wealth out of the game, but I won't say they are. And the author (forgot his name) didn't necessarily accuse Jagex (at least it didn't sound like that to me); he's just bringing the possibility into the eyes of the public. So I must say Jagex should be considered innocent, but kept under open eyes for this may be true. MAY be true, not IS true, not IS NOT true, MAY be true. Thank you, C Shine
  3. I don't think putting the blood and death runecrafting would help much. Laws went from 500 each to 350 - 400, and that's not a huge jump. We might see a bigger difference with the more common runes, but we might not. And if they were to upset the trend, just change the whole rc trend and set all the runecrafting levels down a little.
  4. Haha! Would be a nice, safe way to train magic (ie. run around transforming everyone into trees!)
