firstly- youll have to get the spell(600k+) secondly- you can sell back your guthans for exact same price or more, but you cant sell used spells third- it takes time picking up bones+ youll have to have an empty inventory at all given moments fourth- can not train on most high leveld monsters/at best training places fifth- eating takes time- being in combat does not sixth- this thread is ridiculous. Whoa, calm down buddy, you can leave that for mods to decide. :P And after reading everyone's views, I am agreeing with fx1970 now.

I think both of you failed to read my entire post, lol :P The whole reason I am comparing bones to peaches to guthans is because it serves the same purpose, without the waiting for a special set effect. No offense, but input towards the thesis of the topic would have been better ;)

Wow, that is a creative way to heal, although can be expensive. I like it :) The only problem is you're on ancients when you cast it, and you don't have your normal spellbook for regular uses. Anyway, I supposed everyone here that prefers guthans over B2P probably don't use it often, but I have been using it a lot and will swear by it instead of a set of armor, due to how efficient i've found it :P Edit: So you CAN compare guthans to B2P, here is significant evidence of it's power. Although these are infernal mages where you need dhide, it is still significant.

People also spend 900k on their first crystal bow, and they cannot sell that once it is used ;) + like i said above - Bones to peaches replaces guthans in the inventory if you have another set of armor on you as well.

Okay i've editted my post about the big and dragon bones. But then - if guthans is only needed for demons, why waste it on the tasks with bones, such as dagganoths and skeletons + various others?

This is a discussion for everyone out there who swears by their guthans armor :P So recently, I was contemplating whether or not to put the 9M in to buy guthans armor for training. I considered the alternatives: -Using food -Using food -Oh, and using food. I decided to venture off to world 2 to purchase a set, when my friend pmed me, "Hey wanna come train with me at the mage training arena?" It then popped into my head - Bones to peaches! I looked up all of the information about it, and when I did all the math, these were my results: 2 nature runes per cast. 1 cast = all bones in inventory transformed to peaches Peaches heal 8. 1,000 nature runes = 500 casts. 500 casts can equal up to 500 loads of food!! That is 500 trips to the bank that you DON'T HAVE TO DO. I then calculated the price it would cost me to get the spell. It came out to around 900k coins. What was that? 900k coins. 10 times LESS then guthan's armor. Yes, the spell does cost nature runes. But you would need to use 30,000 nature runes (15,000 casts) to even equal up to the price of guthans. So i've now gotten the bones to peaches spell, and I earned 230k mage experience in the process :) The only disadvantages are: -No demon training -Limited slayer tower training. The advantages: -Costs less than guthans -More effective than guthans -Can train in almost all spots -Can train on Dust devils -Only takes up 3 inventory spaces (as does guthans if you have another set of armor on you as well) So that's my opinion on this amazing spell. What about yours?

I dunno, I think it all depends on the type of rule they think you broke. My friend got banned 2 years ago for being a potential threat by "knowing too much java" because he made a video of himself using artmoney. He still appeals to this very day, each time getting rejected. But if they have no evidince on you, you have a good chance of getting it back.

OK, so here we go, on with the story. Last night, my new PSP LCD screen had come in the mail afte r aweek long wait. It was time to repair my PSP. 2 hours and 5 Cokes later, I had great success. So, with my fixed psp, I decided to transfer some more videos from my giddy 'ole computer, to view on the PSP. So here I am, with my standard USB cable plugged into the computer, and the PSP on the desk(not plugged into the charger btw) I go to plug the cable into the PSP. The exact second that I fully insert the cable into the PSP, my computer screen goes black. I hear funny noises underneath my desk, so I go to look. "BZOOINK!" "BLEEP!" "BOOPLE!" "BOP!" And some "$%^&!!!!!" and "@$&$!" coming out of my mouth as well. So, I eventually get the computer to turn on, and it turns out the only damage is that all of my USB ports are completely destroyed. Now, this morning I get onto the computer, go to log into RS, and I notice it's loading very slowly. I think nothing of it, and restart swiftswitch. It does it again. So I go through all of this shpeel.. I tried using firefox, IE, Regular RS client, I tried different java settings, restarting the computer, reinstalling all java, everything you can think of. I even took a clanmates advice of kicking my computer a few dozen times. Needless to say, that didn't help either. So, can anyone help me figure out why RS won't load right? And P.S - the only reason I posted the story above is in case someone finds a way that these 2 incidents are linked. Thanks!

Well I've just tested it, the effect of the potion does NOT work without the shield when fighting metal dragons. I used mage pray + antifire potion with mage bow, got hit for a 35 2x in a row. However, these are very easy to range with a high range level lolz :D using iron knives and a range pot at 93 range I kill quicker than the mages with fire bolt do.

No, I can range them, believe me. I'm just wondering if I will get hit at all if I just use an antifire potion and no shield.

to Range metal dragons? I'm on the road to 99 range, and I've sworn to do no combat skill but range. I am not using ANY melee weapons until 99. So i've been wondering, since I love metal dragons so much, is it possible to range the metal dragons with a bow? I would use dragonhide armor, adamant arrows, and antifire potions. Prayer potions if necessary. So basically, can i range them using dragonhide, bow&arrows, protect from mage, and antifire doses? Thanks in advance, -Sirgatory

Heh you don't know what you're talking about the 35% for a mage spec person was right. Now what you're thinking of for range staking is the rune thrown axes which to this day still have 4 specs, but they can't get a guaranteed hit like before. Anyway, I will agree that melee is supposed to beat rangers, but at the same time a skilled meleer isn't going to have much of a problem at all beating a person with 99 def and 99 range. Personally, I won't let my HP get lower than 80 without eating a shark when I know I'm dealing with a person over cb 110 that's melee and has a dds. I just know that it wouldn't take too much luck for them to KO me...and well you can't ice barrage if you're busy eating sharks lol. If you ask me the dds should be changed to 35% for a spec attack and keep the ranging spec as it is. Right on, I completely agree! DDS special should be lowered just a little, to maybe 30% instead of 25. 3 Specs would still be good enough for a GOOD melee pker to own a range 6 times an average of 25 damage is still way over 99hp. 3 DDS sepcs would be good enough. Range should be left as is, either way. ( I can't believe I agreed with this, I'm a primary ranger :P)

Okay, I've been playing since RSC 2002... Ever since I hit 70 combat I have trained on NOTHING but lessers, greaters, fire giants, green drags, black demons, dust devils, rock crabs. The best drop i've had was a drag med, and that was back in 2004. Ever since then, on my main, I have had that one and only drop after killing 1k+ Dust devils, at least 80k+ Fire giants (50-91 range), About 2k metal drags, 500 KBDs, and 200 KQs. Never gotten anything from that since the drag med. On the other hand, I think my character is the reason. Once I started training my range pure at waterfall, I got 2 drag meds IN A DAY. A DAY. how often does that happen? I hate my main :(

Well, my school day is over, and I took my shot at the project. What I ended up doing was taping the index card, straw and 2 paper clips to the top of the balloon. I then Hooked the 2 clips to the line. Then, I wrapped the other paper clip around the 2 oz weight for no reason, and taped the weight to the bottom of the balloon, and sent it sailing. I got it all the way to the end, and then some :D Thanks for your help, Dark Ricks Idea was what inspired my model :)

Well hello there tip.it, Sirgatory here with a little assistance needed. Okay, so I take a problem solving class at my HS, and this week our project is to make a balloon racer. The Materials (all must be used, no more no less) 1 Index Card 1 Balloon 3 Paper Clips 2 1/2 inch straw 18 inches of tape ( not all must be used) So we have to use all of that, to transport 2 oz of weight across a 18 foot stretch of fish line. Unfortunately, not one person out of our 26 person class has come up with a way to get the transport even half way across. Also unfortunate, is that we must have to get graded on how far the transport goes by tomorrow. if it goes no where, you get a 0, if it goes half way, you get a 50. You get the idea. So after searching the internet tonight, I still haven't found a way to make it work. Now i'm here to ask all of you out there with creative minds to help me out and give me ideas. :) Also, if this is in the wrong forum, mods please move it, do not lock it on me :(

There's no formula for learning to spell right, but maybe we should delevop one for you. :roll: Anyway, I think there is some sort of formula, and whatever it is you are using now, it looks about right.

wow, cannot believe this thread is still going. well to update you all: the last week or so has been very confusing. she told her friend that she was rethinking everything, and her friend was not supposed to tell until today, 11/6/05 because she might change her mind. Alright well my dad got a toshiba tecra 730xcdt for free from work like 6/7 years ago. It has worked fine up until about 2003. the keyboard malfunctioned, who knows why. all i know is that the laptop is now mine to use anywhere i want, the only problem is the "a, z, q, 1, tab, backspace, number pad" key do not work whatsoever. So, when i want to type an essay up, or use instant messenger, i have to connect a huge keyboard to the thing so i can use it. I would rather be able to use the regular default keyboard, so my question to you is this. is there any possible way to fix it? PLease note we have already tried taking the keyboard out of our other one and putting it in the broken one, which broke that comp too. So we're not risking takign out the keyboard. THANKS :)
