  1. Played Empire Earth all night last night. Guess I got it out of my system for a bit, so I'll return to fking minescape now. Have absolutely nothing going on this weekend, so 99 is a possibility.
  2. Closing in on 97 mining (345k from), which I might get tonight. Bonus Experience Point Productivity Troll gave away his dpick for free to me, so I shouldn't have a problem getting 99 in the next week or two. Rumor has it we're duo plundering 99 thief afterwards. Net wealth right now is up to 6-7M again and slowly growing thanks to torstol. I've started to play a couple of games I used to way back when for both nostalgia's sake and the fact that I think they're fun as hell imo. I started out playing just Crusader, and later tried the original Stronghold, as well Stronghold 2, and Stronghold Legends eventually. Crusader really sticks out as the best one even though it's one of the oldest ones. Basically it's a strategic castle sim with a good balance of economical and combat gameplay. This game came out back in 2001 iirc, and I used to play it all the time before stumbling on the Runescape. Similar to Crusader, it's had a few sequels that don't really add up the quality of the original, so I never bothered playing them. If anyone hasn't played or heard of it, it's a strategy game that plays along the same lines as Age of Empires, where you're able to build and conquer in all sorts of eras ranging from the prehistoric age into the future digital and nano ages. Just received this in the mail today (used to play it on an old computer and lost the disc), so I may spending a bit of time on it here soon. Sadly these games are dead in terms of online gameplay nowadays, so I'll enjoy my time playing campaigns or against computers
  3. Doing some random skilling lately. Did a bit of HH yesterday to get this, my last skill holding me back from 91+ Seeing as my net wealth was drained down to under 500k after finishing off construction, I'm slowly working to rebuild it for my final money-sink, fletching. Using broad arrows, the cost is right around 52M at current prices for the 474k arrows. For argument's sake (to factor in runes for livid farm + misc items I need back), My goal is to reach 70M cash over time to fund everything. I've been thinking about breaking up the overall goal of 99 fletch/max livid farm into smaller pieces (going 1 fletch level at a time while doing livid) to break up the deathly monotony that's surely waiting for me If I wait to do it all at once. I've slowly started farming torstol again to test the waters with that method (can only afford 5 seeds at a time), as well as fishing rocktail from time to time. They're not as profitable as they once were (~2.3k vs 3k+), but I should still make a fair buck off them granted I fish them all the way to 99 (~20-25M). Depending on whether or not I can manage a dpick lend for the next week, that will be my primary goal coming up. Including urns, I stand to make 8-10M off of the ~38k gold ore needed to mine for 99. Chances are I'll take frequent breaks to capture draconic snack wraps or cross my fingers for the Sceptre of the Gods, just to help keep my sanity in check. I really want to but I think I'm going to take a small break from it first. Although Max Cape isn't as cool as comp, I'd still like to own it for a little bit before getting comp, just as kind of a "halfway point" or so* *you're talking to Nerd Bomber here, who's long-term goals change all the time, so who knows?
  4. Well, 2 more 99s last night: Honestly wasn't planning on getting 99 construction this way, as I'm sure I could have assisted it to 99 and saved 12M, but meh. I'll just assist farm from now on. Glad to never have to enter my POH again more than anything. Also just got this to give a sexy 2450 total: Considering alternating hunt and thief levels in the next couple of weeks to get 99 and get them out of the way. It seems like a good idea seeing as they're free to train, considering my net wealth is under 500k atm. As mentioned earlier however, training w/e I feel like at any given time will take precedence, so there might be some occasional mining (hi borrowing dpick), fishing, or ivy camping if I'm feeling lazy. Dat column inb4 lolnot120
  5. Damn I've been slacking. Going to finally go for 99 prayer all in one go tonight. My bank decided to block all transactions via debit/credit cards from the UK and surrounding areas, meaning cya renewing membership. Had to go buy this [bleep]in thing: Which ended up giving these (~90k free agil xp): 702k from 98 prayer, 1931k from 99 (7666 bones) right now Should have 99 later tonight, at which point I might start working towards slowly getting all skills caught up, or decide to slowly just start bashing through 99s one at a time.
  6. A wild blog update appears. Accidentally got 99 fm via burning a log for JOAT a week ago (forgot I was so close and waiting for 99 prayer) so I just got 99 smithing as well for the hell of it: And my extremely slow prayer progress over the past week finally led to a level: Slightly over 9k bones left until 99, and no ETA on that level. I should be able to start playing a bit more, so maybe in a couple of days, but who knows. As mentioned last time I posted, I've been busy taking care of real life stuff, and needed to take a small break. I'll probably to continue to be a little busier than I used to be (trying to get a new job, ect.), but should still be able to start playing a little more steadily nonetheless. Might try to take a more "random" approach to playing after 99 prayer, where I'll train what I'm feeling rather than force training through something I'm not in the mood for. 120 DG will likely be delayed, but oh well. It couldn't hurt to get some of my low skills up to prevent lots of grind later on down the road. Anyway, I decided to go ahead and dump my DG tokens. The same amount of time would have been saved in the end, and I felt crossing a few more things off of my to do list, so I now have all prayers and chaotics unlocked: Had some tokens left over to dump straight into DG xp also

Massanutten is a wooded area and I installed that light for security. It's a safety issue. I can't help it if some of the light goes across the road, close your curtains if it bothers you. From: David Thorne Date: Sunday 6 May 2012 7.41pm To: Justin Flecker Subject: Re: Lamp Hello Justin, Thank you for your email. While I accept that curtains are usually the key to community accord, in this instance they would need to be constructed of eight-inch-thick lead sheeting. Last night, with my curtains closed and bedside light off, I read a book. Wearing sunglasses. Under a blanket. Though unconvinced that blinding local fauna is the best solution, I do understand the heightened need for security living in a wooded area such as the gated community of Massanutten demands. Having formerly lived my entire life in Australia, I am unfamiliar with much of the local wildlife but I did see my first raccoon last week. I stepped outside to have a cigarette and the raccoon, sitting less than five feet away beside an up-ended bin eating the remains of a Domino's Artisan Tuscan Salami pizza, hissed at me. Surprised, I threw myself backwards, rolled several times toward the door, and sprang to my feet holding the welcome-mat above my head to appear taller. Sometime during the roll-spring-mat maneuver, probably during the roll part as it was over gravel and I was wearing shorts and a thin t-shirt so I had to take it slow, the raccoon left. Which probably isn’t as exciting a story as it should be but this isn't Borneo and I’m not Jack London. I did see a snake the other day though. I picked up a stick to poke it with which also turned out to be a snake. Jumping back in panic, I threw it away from me, but our dog thought I was playing fetch and I had to run and jump over a creek to get away. As such, this weekend I intend to set up a canister of poisonous gas in my yard with an industrial fan behind it. I can't help it if some of the gas goes across the road. Regards, David. From: Justin Flecker Date: Monday 7 May 2012 2.14pm To: David Thorne Subject: Re: Re: Lamp Is that meant to be a threat? Put something up in your window if you don't like the light, we lived here 5 years before you even moved into the neighborhood and got along perfectly with Ryan who lived at your property before you. We went to his BBQ's and I loaned him our mower. We get along with all our neighbors. I dont know what you people do in your own country but in this country we dont go onto other peoples property and touch their stuff. From: David Thorne Date: Monday 7 May 2012 3.37pm To: Justin Flecker Subject: Re: Re: Re: Lamp Dear Justin, In my country, terawatt globes are reserved for police helicopter chases and warning sailors of hazardous shoals. This is despite the fact that practically every living creature there can kill you in under three minutes. Our primary spoken language is screaming. I'm not surprised you get along well with all the other neighbours. If you put fifty children with Down's syndrome in a room there is going to be a lot of hugging. And no, it was not a threat. It was an exaggerated response to an uncompromising stance. I was taught never to make a threat unless you are prepared to carry it out and I am not a fan of carrying anything. Even watching other people carrying things makes me uncomfortable. Mainly because of the possibility they may ask me to help. I did consider installing a floodlight as bright as yours, but this would require some form of carrying things, electrical wiring knowledge, and access to a power supply capable of producing that amount of wattage. Probably fusion. As I am told off by my partner for wasting money when I leave the light on in the bathroom overnight, I can only speculate to what her reaction would be to an electricity bill eight times our annual income for retaliatory garden lighting. She would probably have to get a third job. It would be much cheaper to stand in my driveway and throw rocks. I can't help it if some of the rocks go across the road. You should probably put something up in your window. Regards, David. What part about not being allowed to go on our property don't you get? From: David Thorne Date: Tuesday 8 May 2012 10.32am To: Justin Flecker Subject: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Lamp Dear Justin, No, I did not take the light again. I relocated it again. Its current location may be discovered by deciphering the following set of clues to its whereabouts. Perhaps you could invite your friend Ryan over and treat it as a kind of treasure hunt: 1. It's in the letterbox again. 2. Look in the letterbox. As I realise this probably won't narrow it down much for you, I will give you a third clue in the form of a riddle: What burns with the light of a thousand suns and is in the letterbox? 8. Well, real life shit has hit the fan. RS will be put on hold for a little while.
  9. So I've gone through 111k addy bars in the past 6 days, and am down to finishing the last 1k for 99 smithing. I'm going to be a noob and postpone 99 smith tonight and get it along with 99 prayer and firemaking in a couple of days just for fun. Most definitely glad to be finished with this skill. In total I lost slightly more than anticipated (40M vs 35M), but it still seemed very cheap to me. I ended in rank 6 overall for the week in smithing xp, with ~7.7M smithing xp gained. Neat to me as I never end up making many records. With the 45M left over, I've gone ahead and purchased just over 13k dragon bones for 99 prayer, and a few torstol seeds to start my farm runs once again. My goal tonight is to spend a final few hours at the jadinko lair to "get" 99 firemaking, and begin prayer if I have time afterwards. I forgot how many bones/hr or xp/hr one can do using dbones on gilded altar with a yak, but I'm hoping 96-99 doesn't take anymore than 10 hours or so. Now that my most dreaded stat is taken care of, remaining comp cape requirements can finally sort of fall in place: 99 Smithing, Prayer, Firemaking 120 DG 99 Construction, Farming, and Agility 99 Mining, Fishing, and Woodcutting 99 Hunting and Thieving 99 Fletching + Completion of Livid Farm All other Misc. Comp Cape requirements Stopping to get these few 99s has caused a slight delay in my goal for 120 DG by a certain time, but I think I can make up for it. A majority of Con/Farm/Agil xp will come from daily xp gained while working towards 120 DG, explaining the three being obtained shortly after. In addition to torstol farming, I'll be finishing my gathering trio at once to bring in some more money for broad arrows (need supplies for 475k arrows @ ~52M), followed by the free & fast thieving and hunting skills. Finally, I should have saved up enough money, and had enough time to buy all of the supplies for fletching + livid. I'll obviously have max cape after that, but will have comp cape shortly after from the few remaining qualifications. May not happen this exact way, but thanks to my main concern (lots of buyables) being taken care of now, it's a good idea of what's to come. Not sure if you're raging about it being the last season, two parts, or both. I hate to see the show end, but I'd rather have them end it on a good note rather than trying to milk it to death. However, I don't like the idea of the split. I hate being caught up and waiting for new seasons to start. Only 2 months until season 5 starts though :ohnoes:
  10. Hopefully you have a weakness to non-afk skills, because those are both fast. I'll be 2448 after 99 smith/prayer/firemaking, and 2455 after 120 DG in a couple months. FML.
  11. I was going to do that with magic longs, but with all of the money I've saved from smithing and prayer, I should be able to afford 99 via broads. With the downtime each turn at livid farm, I'm sure I'll probably fletch all the arrows before I collect all the produce anyway, so no time wasted  [bleep] bankstanding.
  12. Well, smithing sucks. Luckily I'm almost done. Spent a lot of time this weekend churning out addy plates, which gave me this just now: Goal is 99 smithing on Tuesday. I was going to turn around and start DG again afterwards, but it with how cheap smithing has turned out, I am going to go ahead and take care of 99 prayer while I'm at it. Only losing 35-40M for 99 smithing overall, and should be able to get 99 prayer for 40-45M, leaving me broke, but with only 1 buyable skill left, fletching. I'll be doing 400k+ broads during livid farm with money I gain from torstols/flasks to 120 DG if everything goes well. If I get 99 prayer quickly, I might just spend a few more hours at jad lair to throw 99 firemaking in the bunch for fun. ~0 minutes for 99 @ idfc xp/hr
  13. Riiiiiiiiight. See you in cwars next year. Pffft. Im gunna get 5k games done before Agile. Pro. Also, just saw you're watching Breaking Bad? What do you think? Probably one of my most favorite shows to date. Can't wait for season 5 :ohnoes:
