  1. Several floors + lots of time at BAA training agility tonight. First off, and foremost, I am the 1% I'm going to be saving tokens (285k currently) until 107 DG. That will leave me enough to buy the rest of the chaotics (4 left), as well as the 3 prayers required for comp cape. Afterwards I'll be spending all tokens on xp. I'm hoping I'll be 107 DG by the end of next month :D Got pretty close to 95 agility (118k from) and 95 farming (67k from). I'll surely get the agility level tomorrow, and probably the farming on Sunday.
  2. Did several floors tonight and gained just under 400k xp overall. Not even 1%, not even mad: Also was 1k from a fishing level so I got it just for fun: Closing in a bit more on 95 agility (428k from, 61% skoll left) and 95 farming (105k from). Might get those over the weekend depending on how often I play/DG. Not much going on other than that. Up to 240k DG tokens. I think I'll save until I can afford to buy the 3 prayers required for comp cape + the rest of the chaotics, and then I'll start spending on XP.
  3. Naw I remember how to, I just forgot to on the past few pictures. Is it necessary on blog posts? I like your attitude. :-P But yea, doing DG right away is probably the best way due to the factors you mentioned + that you'll get XP in the other skills from dging. Oh and you'll obviously get comp cape faster by mainly doing DG, and other non maxed skills while waiting for floors than if you'd get max cape first and then... not have any skills left while finding floors. Thanks. I'm glad I'm deciding to get it out of the way now to reduce some wasted xp in the long run, as well as being bored once I have max cape and realize I have a ton of dungeoneering left to do for comp. Not sure how long it will take though. Would like to have it by the end of this summer, but we'll see  Aside from DGing I'm just going to stick with my dailies on the side, along with training skills like agility while waiting for floors. I'm debating whether or not to keep using JOAT/pengs/TI/XP lamps on Agility, or to start using them on Dungoneering instead to cut down the time to 120. I guess I'll just see how fast I'm able to gain xp doing floors.
  4. Decided to go ahead and go with my plan of focusing mainly on 120 Dungeoneering. I think it will be fun once I get the hang of it again. Only need to gain 86,670,766 more xp. No big deal. When floors are unavailable, or while waiting for them to fill, I will be focusing on agility and farm runs. I'll be training agility at BAA, and I have quit farming fellstalk and moved onto snapdragon. Although XP from fellstalk is nice, I'd rather make some money while farming to start saving more for buyables later on. So, I sold my dragon pick, as I won't be using it for a while, along with several other items, and went ahead and bought / made farming supplies: Should get 95 farming this week, and I'll probably get 95 fishing tonight as I'm very close before I start my DGing spree. Hopefully I'll be 120 before the end of summer.
  5. So I did a couple of farm runs yesterday, and got bored of agility after an hour of training... haha. So much for 95 yesterday. I'm feeling a lot better lately about comp cape becoming a reality, except for the dungeoneering part of it. Several members of EoE are already 120, and many more are passing me each day. I'm worried that if I hold off on dungeoneering until max cape, many people will already be 120/200M DG and won't be as eager to train it anymore, which brings me to a hard decision to make: Continue skilling as planned and save dungeoneering until I'm maxed Begin training dungeoneering nonstop until 120, with the exception of farm runs in between (and maybe some agility when no one wants to DG) I have my mind set on the latter for now, as the 87M+ dungeoneering xp I still need to gain kind of worries me, but I added a poll just for fun to see what everyone else thinks. I'm still slightly ignorant on some dungeoneering monsters/bosses/rooms, so I'd rather being DGing and become familiar with all of that while there are plenty of people to DG with, rather than possibly not being later. I really have no idea when I'd be able to finish up 120 DG, but I would like to have it by no later than the end of July this year, although I think I might be able to get it earlier. If anyone has any experience with how fast you can gain xp / achieve 120 by solely focusing on DG while playing and not skilling, feel free to let me know :)
  6. I honestly can't answer that accurately enough for it to be reliable :( I haven't timed my trips down there at and/or logged that with the xp gained, so I'm not sure. All I know is last week was the first drop in my overall xp / hr since I started this blog <_< lol
  7. It kind of just depends on your luck with how often the juju effect kicks in, and whether or not gold rocks are up. A good trip (10 urns) could only last 30 minutes (~70k xp/hr or so), while a bad one may take upwards of 45 minutes (~50k xp/hr or so). Although I've used urns up to where I'm at now, I'm contemplating not doing so anymore for a few reasons. First off you only get 625 xp each, which is similar to mining 10 more gold which doesn't take long. Next, you've got to carry 10 urns, which also means banking more often as you can't hold as much gold obviously. Finally, you have to bank every 30-45 minutes to get more urns, which lasts 3-5 minutes that you could have been mining. I'm not sure whether or not it's really worth the extra 6250 mining xp per trip. Seeing as I don't bother with fishing urns while doing rocktail (I prefer 3-4 hour fishing trips), I might try that soon. Sorry for the long reply, but lemme know if you decide to do it without urns and what your xp rate is. I like the idea of being able to stay down there a few hours instead of frequently leaving to get more urns. ----------------------- So today I didn't do too much aside from some more rocktail fishing. Fished another 800-900 rocktail, and am pretty close to 95 fishing, which I'll get tomorrow. Did a few farm runs, and am closing in on 95 farming also (189k from). Tomorrow I'm going to try and use up the rest of my skoll boots (80% left) at either BAA or GAA depending on how I'm feeling. This should get me 95 agility, which is nice, but there's still a lot of laps to be done even with double xp, as I'm 677k from <_< Passed the 300M overall xp milestone tonight, meaning I've gained 100M xp since my return from "quitting" last fall. Hopefully when I pass the 400M milestone I'll have a max cape and will be working towards 120 DG  Money pouch is up to 18.6M now, +16M from a week ago, with my only income being flasks, charging for assists, and rocktails. It's hard for me not to spend it, but I think I can save until I get 99 fishing / 99 mining. 96 Fishing (caught up to mining) should hopefully happen this week sometime, at which point I'll finally start training them evenly to get 99 in both at the same time. Checked dragon pickaxe prices just for fun and was sad to see they were back down to 13.4M, which is 2.2M down from yesterday's price. Not that it would have sold at that price had I sold mine yesterday, but it still would have been nice to make some easy money. I suck at merching / predicting the market :wall:
  8. That's what I was thinking, and probably what I'll end up doing to get comp cape a little faster. Also, like an idiot, I didn't realize finishing the POH Statue was only for the trimmed completionist cape. I thought it was a standard comp cape req, but seeing as it isn't, I won't be bothering with that anymore. Time for another long day of rocktail.
  9. Fished just over 900 rocktail today. 320k off 95 fishing, so I'll probably get it tomorrow. Made another 200k off a 95 con assist and 250k afterwards off a boosted level 97 con assist, alongside 400k+ from daily flasks. In total I made just under 4M today. It's not bad seeing as it's not MHing and I'm hardly putting in any effort at all. Speaking of which, EoE decided to do some solo + 4 leech floors today, and I leeched 1 for some free xp while I played MW3, so can't complain there. Doubt it will become common due to the much longer floor times, but if so then I think it could be fun to continue doing. My cash stack is up to 15M now, most of which I've made in the past week just off charging for assists, selling flasks, and selling rocktail, so I'm pretty pleased with that. Out of curiosity I wanted to see how much money I'd have if I theoretically sold my dpick, and was surprised to see this: Wasn't expecting picks to have risen that much. Although the extra cash would have been nice, I decided to go ahead and hold on to it, even if it decides to drop in price by the time I sell. Right now I'm working on getting my fishing caught up to mining, at which point I will begin training both back and forth, getting 99 in each around the same time in a few months. As said before, I'm hoping for a 100M+ cash stack from gold ore / rocktails / flasks / assists by then so I can either put a dent in 99 smithing, completely finish off 99 prayer / 99 fletching, or buy loads of surges to use up at Glacors. I haven't decided yet.
  10. Just enjoy being a noob and not knowing what anything is or where anything is at. Those are the best days of Runescape.
  11. Because it's basically what I had to go through in Lumbridge. Smelt a bronze bar Make a bronze med helm Wear that bronze med helm Attack a goblin Bury his bones Slit your wrists Congratulations! I'll make it my final comp cape req or something.
  12. I'm not an even a taskmaster anymore since the Burthorpe update. Apparently I need to put some weeds in a compost bin and catch some badass crimson swifts alongside many more elite tasks to have the emote back. Good fight.
  13. Mini update: I've been slowly fishing rocktail while doing homework/playing MW3. Just under 13k left for 99 fishing. Should make around 38M off that. Been doing JOAT for a free 8.8k agility xp a day, 50 flasks (averaging 350-400k a day from), and 30k construction xp a day. I've managed to take advantage of the recent effigy nerf to the tune of 250k per construction assist, netting me an extra 500k profit a day. Not sure how long it will last, but I'm going to try to make some extra money as long as possible. If I have enough discipline to continue this daily pattern until 99 mining/fishing (couple months?), I'm hoping to be looking at a ~100M bank or so. Chances are I'd dump all of that into smithing. I'm having trouble deciding whether or not to fletch 509k broad arrows while doing livid farm later down the road for 99 fletch, or fletching 92k mage longbows. Would save a lot of time doing the former, a lot of money with the latter. I also contemplated dissolving The EffiGlacor Files due to the recent effigy nerf, but I think I might continue to work towards 10k kills anyway. Will kind of suck with the decreased effigy rate, but the idea of still being able to make some money in the next 8.4k kills makes me want to keep it up. I'll need to use up all my overloads anyway.
  14. Do farm runs, invest in MTK, and if you have the levels, make 50 flasks a day. They net ~400k+ a day right now. Also, if you have any skills that you can offer assitance in, you can make decent money off offering assists at 117 heim, as there are lots of desperate people since the effigy nerf.
  15. It seems as though you hop around a lot in terms of training different skills, doing different activities, killing TDs, ect., so how does the effigy nerf put that big of a dent in maxing for you? You're already pretty close, and you've got most of the levels to open almost any stage on your own, so it seems as though the only downfall is the fact that the rates have been reduced, which sucks for everyone though. You can still get level 99 effigycrafting, you just won't be able to hoard effigies like you might have done previously and get all the levels at once (if that was even your plan), but the xp will be gained the same way in the end. You'll just have to open them on the spot now.
  16. Feeling slightly more confident about being able to defeat the boss after having seen how "easy" some others have made it sound. It will surely be the last thing on my to do list for completionist cape, but hopefully by then will be able to afford nice gear + supplies ;)
  17. Making overloads. I'm hoping these will be enough for 99 Herblore, but if not, I'll at least get close. After those are made I'm just training agility the rest of the weekend.
  18. Not really too phased by the effigy-nerf today. Guess I'll just open each one as I go. I never really camped for them anyway. Started off the day with finishing the 2 newest quests, to get my quest cape back: The new quest was alright, it's The Kiln challenge that worries me. I was never a big fan of Jad, and just knowing I encounter him + more in this new challenge has me a bit worried. I'd still like to go for completionist cape, but knowing that this is a requirement, and knowing that I'm going to need some pretty high end gear might make it difficult, so I'll be worrying about that last most likely. I spent the rest of my time doing a bit of hunter (only about 60k xp), and fishing rocktail. Got 94 fishing, but missed a screenie due to playing MW3, so here's this awesome picture: Still slowly working towards 99 mining before BXPW on the side.
  19. How can I watch Castle War's / RuneShark's progress/videos?
  20. That's a pretty good point, but on the other hand, wouldn't you say that most players who would be worried about gaining opening-stages-xp are ones that are probably going for max? In that aspect, it would take the same time in the end if people had to train up to a level to open an effigy stage before they could go MH more, which surely is probably going to be a pain. I mean, assists are always available at 117 heim, so the only downfall I can sense is that people will need to visit more often. Yeah, my original post was a bit biased, but I think everyone will adapt to the new changes pretty quickly.
  21. Also hoarded effigies for 20 months getting the levels to open them myself, rather than complain about "high level content" like too many people do today. Anyway, really excited to see what the waves are on this new cape challenge. Jad already on wave 10 makes me worried lol. Doubt I'll ever own the cape =/
  22. Congrats! Definitely Jelly, but makes me wanna work harder for that cape now :)
  23. From mod Mat K. QFC: 15-16-931-63569233 Sounds good to me. +1
  24. People find different skills fun. Some such as runecrafting and agility can seem boring due to the slow xp rates, but if that's the case, it just boils down to what's more valuable to you. Would you rather grind that xp to have a sense of accomplishment with a higher level/cape/ect., or enjoy your time doing other things rather than grind something you don't enjoy? Just because everyone doesn't find everything in Runescape equally enjoyable doesn't mean it should be changed. That kind of defies the point and pride some players achieve and value from spending so much time working towards an achievement (for the players where the end result is worth the grind to get there).
  25. It's not that big of a deal. The only difference is people need to open them more often. Saying that you're too lazy to level the skills yourself is one thing, but not being able to hop to 117 is just pretty sad. People will adapt. People need to learn to train other skills more. The opening skills aren't really that hard to obtain, they just take a little while. Plus, certain skills can skill be trained primarily by dragonkins, you just won't be able to dump large amounts anymore.
