  1. We averaged around 150k Woodcutting XP/hour. Kr148 was clearing gd's while I was just woodcutting. It was fun. I was doing it because I was on some Woodcutting war (which I won by almost 100k gap since the ranked 2 was doing pines) 140k if you kill monsters while fishing 120k if you dedicate time to kill monsters
  2. Jack of trades (if you care enough) would be a good start. Fishing or Woodcutting aura (if you don't plan to C2) would also be good idea. I don't find combat auras much atractive and, according to what I checked, you are almost done with combat anyway. They are releasing new auras soon. I would probably wait for them.
  3. I averaged 300k XP/hr at Pyramid Plunder. You want to make sure you don't waste any tick though because you will notice that sometimes if you had an extra tick you could open one more urn (each urn is 825xp, 12 games per hour = 10k extra XP/hr). Unless accuracy of checking for snakes and then open is over 100% it isn't worth it. I'll leave my vid about how to do it efficiently, hopefully it will help you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqgIhdZg8ns I rarely found duo worth it because people can slow you down easly, if they don't know what they are doing. I didn't found buying a aura for a 300k XP/hr skill worth the loyality points.
  4. Fishing barb outpost with potions is 200k XP/hr.
  5. ^ Was under that impression too, but I've honestly not killed them since EOC soooo damage may act completely different. I'm interested in adding them to my "do" list if I don't need to lug around a DFS or an elemental shield Reading description can be helpful: "Just though I would make this vid because some friends were having problem understand how I kill those without a dragonfire shield. This task is one of the current best tasks. You should expect to gain around 147.1k XP/hr if you are doing it right. As you can see, if you are enough squares away from the monster, it can't attack you with ice - making the dragonfire shield useless. Also, as I showed on the vid, If you ever get in trouble, you can just use escape ability to get away from the monster. I'm using bonecrusher and demon horn necklace so I don't need to worry about my prayer points. I am using fire surge, as you can see, since they are weak to fire. Cannon doesn't really hit anything significant on them. Feel free to ask anything that I might have forgotten to write on this description Song name: Spooky Scary Skeletons"
  6. People seem to underrate this task by a lot. I get around 147k XP/hr, making it one of the best tasks, with this method:
  7. Edited my previous post, thanks.
  8. Actually Fight Cauldron is 400k XP/hr (and there's some other methods with smilar XP rate). Let's put it simple, shall we? 200m att would take 666 hours at Frosts but you would make 1333m 200m att would take 500 hours at Fight Cauldron and get 100m Fletching XP (which saves 148 hours). So, mathmatically speaking, we can say it would take 352 hours 666-352= 314 1333m/314= 4250k Unless you can't make over 4250k gp/hr, Frost Dragons are worth it. 8m if you are 200m Fletching XP. You would need to make even more gp/hr if you don't have 200m Summoning yet.
  9. Just giving an example to support my argument.
  10. arctic bear, I tried for an hour back when I was 20m hunt xp and it was like 260 compared to my average of 285-290. Hunter is a lot faster now aha :P While you get 200m hunter, you will get hours from 260k to 320k, even tho it averages at 295k So, your agument is based on an hour.... what am I supposed to think
  11. You are supposed to attack monsters while you are fishing or woodcutting, so it doesnt matter much if you use Ranged or Magic. I believe Magic hits higher than Ranged though. My binds are cosmic runes and Celestial Catalytic staff. My spell is fire surge (staff count as all elemental runes).
  12. I don't really hate you since I have no idea who you are. I'm not saying that your rates are correct or wrong. I'm just saying it would be inacurate to the time calc since it is NOT the method that MOST of top players use. You should be able to understand this even with basic math knowledge. It might be considered not the best idea but there's nothing we can do about it. Lol... Threatened.... Ok.
  13. I have no idea what you want, Dreyri. But I'm certain you have no idea what you are doing. I am not going to use the argument "I started time calc first so go away" because that would be silly and imature as posting your time calc after mine with lack of accuracy. The time calc works good because it actually takes into account the method that MOST (nearly all) top players use. If you just include methods that only 1-2 players use, it will be worthless and useless on my point of view (and I guess for many other people that already expressed same opinion). In other words, it wouldn't represent anything valuable. Also, I highly doubt about the accuracy of the XP in other skills you gain from Slayer that you included in your time calc, making it even more inacurate. I do assume warbands because I've personally seen (and done with) multiple top players doing it. There's a reason why I stoped doing my time calcs for a few months. There was no way I could make it accurate with the lack of combat data since EoC. Now that I have all the data I need to actually make it accurate, I decided to get back doing it. Unless you step back, I'll stop making those time calculatores because it actually takes effort to make them ACCURATE, reduces my XP gains and I'm not interested in competing on forums.
  14. 15. That time calc made me so depressed that I might even fix mine and start making those weekly updates.
  16. Nothing new, as he even stated on his vid. We discussed this like 1-2 years ago.
  17. Paperbag competes with himself. The best thing a player can do, imo.
  18. I think Jagex should add more activities highscores like Fish Flingers, POP, etc. That would make those activities more interesting.
  19. We already have that (runetracker)
  20. The magic damage cap has been raised from Magic level 80 to 90.
  21. Because Jagex Logic. I hope it leads to an increase in magic tier damage (but really they should just fix magic so that isn't an issue). They might as well increase it, you will need the t90 wand and orb to dish out t90 damage anyway. But it would help dungeoneering wouldn't it? Not that magic is the most efficient way anyways... It is for C2 but you are supposed to attack while fishing or cutting so it won't make any difference.
  22. Or maybe he doesn't care about the other skills
  23. I have quite a good idea what I am talking about actually. Under a simple analysis you could just add the extra time onto individual trappings on a perfect hour of hunting, ie the time lost. This would correspond to probably around 45k less XP. With more rigorous analysis, you'd want to investigate the impact of having your traps on the floor for a shorter duration throughout the hour. I said I was missing data, for example the ratio of common:draconic, and without that data I'll give estimated figures yes, but they're in no way random. I think it's better anyway than just stating that it would be equal to 85k XP with nothing to back that up whatsoever. >I can't actually back up what I said >Guess I'd better just try to demean my way out of this one Ok bad boy.... You take 4 ticks to take a trap and to lay it down again. You only spend a tick running one trap to another. So, 5 ticks per each time you try to catch one jadino. But you can suck enough and waste 2 ticks per trap. That makes it 7 ticks per attempt. Around 6000 ticks occour per hour. 6k/5 = You try to catch 1200 jadinkos per hour 6k/7 = You try to catch 857 jadinos per hour That means it is 40% faster. Oh... I guess everyone agrees you get 295k XP/hr (pre-staff). So, with the staff, you get around 310k. 310k/1.4=221.4k XP/hr... I really had no idea what I was talking about, right? Funny. Then you keep forgetting completelly that not always will all the traps be filled once you get to them. You are constantly waiting more than actually spending on setting up a trap. So instead of wasting 2 ticks, you only waste 2/5th of a "tick" per trap per trap period (the number of ticks it normally takes for a trap to fill up). As you basically don't waste time - the two ticks do not increase your gathering speed at all because the next trap isn't sprung when you go on. The only time you waste is that during 2 ticks only 4 traps are placed of the 5 possible traps Simply doing the math would have shown you that obviously you won't have 1200 catches in an hour...that would be 740 k exp/hr. The math that saving 2 ticks per trap should provide ~40% more exp/hr will stand as long as your traps are activated (capture or not) often enough (which they most definitely are, at 99 with arctic bear, scentless, full camo, and aura you can barely keep up with them and in some cases fall behind if you stop paying attention). I personally pulled around 280 k exp/hr when I tested them (was 99 hunter since before they came out) and wasn't giving 100% attention to it. Can we stop talking about this now? I wrote "You try to catch x jadinko per hour".
  24. How many hours is that XP rate based at?
  25. Don't forget to drink zamorak favour while you lay the trap so you don't lose any tick. ;)
