Chi, your answer is incorrect. ABSOLUTLY WRONG! AS for the backstory thing I'm still working on it. I do mention that she's got no social life when she was in school, which allowed her to do 3 years of school in one normal year. If she starts school when she is 3, she'll be 4 when she finishes her third "term". 1 term = one year of school for her. She manages to get 3 terms in one year. So, by her 12th term, she'll be 7 (term3=age4, term6=age5, term9=age6, term12=age7). Then, untill she turns 15, she spends the next 8 years learning medical and space stuff (her space knowledge was her individual study choice, she looked in books dating bact to 2003). Space obviously isn't her strongpoint, thus why she becomes a medic with space authorization than a captain (which she should never become) or someone who drives a ship (very, very, very bad idea. Thats why Lee should have a hoverboard for a transportation unit).
