  1. Razers break so easily, they're pathetic.
  2. This basic Microsoft mouse is surprisingly good, including for gaming, and incredibly reliable. http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/fi-fi/p/basic-optical-mouse/3EG-00003 Gaming mice are massively overrated and unreliable IMO.
  3. What do you mean? I don't really see your point in posting that. We can't even see what page that is so it's hard to know what's going on.
  4. Overload method of saving ticks does not work for anything anymore.
  5. Good job Jagex  Now if they adress the reasons people chose to bot in the first place maybe runescape will last another 10 years. This is exactly the suggestion I don't like. People will target the grind and Jagex will do all they can to minimize it. This may include substantially increasing Xp rates. I WANT grind; that's what RS is about. I'm hopeful that when "targeting grind" Jagex won't just fall back on the easy option of making things faster. Jagex have said in the past that they love the fact that different skills are different speeds, that there are fast skills and slow skills, hard skills and easy skills (they said this when defending the Ivy/Sawmill training update, where they made woodcutting very easy, but they WANT woodcutting to be very easy, and I don't think they want RC or agility to be that easy.) I would hope that this philosophy remains when "targeting grind" and instead of speeding things up they make more updates like herblore habitat hunting, or Jadinko firemaking, where they provide an alternative training method, not massively different in exp rate (I know HH hunting is best in game but hunter was always a fast non-buyable, along with Thieving, always was meant to be so) but the new methods just provide a different feel to the motions of training the skill, or don't involve so much money or boring endless purchases and sales on the GE, or otherwise shaking up the way we train, and giving us more options to play how we prefer, whether it be for lesser exp or for equal exp. "Targeting grind" in that way is something I wouldn't mind at all.
  6. Same as his Slayer gains have been since Wednesday.
  7. Who cares if someone gets 2 different billion milestones in the same CALENDER year, they still got 1b exp within 365 days, they still hit both billion milestones within 365 days, it's not like Suomi hit 3b exp on the 1st of January 2011... Jordy, why does playing RS on your birthday, your friend's birthday, or Christmas mean you "don't celebrate them" Loads of people do that.
  8. Even after max melee crawlers are a great training method for RC, because of the other effigy opening skills. Of course whether Suomi personally does that or trains RC manually depends on his cash situation I guess.
  9. He's famous for monster hunting, boss hunting, Dark Lust is not. The tower is about boss killing. It would be him even if he was rank 1000.
  10. @Auror He hasn't played in a few months, his new rsn is Alakazamurai. Edit: Yes Drum, he was forced to change name after the name change update came and they were forced to crack down on offensive names properly. Congrats on page 700 guys, only 84 to go!!!
  11. The news post about the guy getting 25 99s in one day was so stupid, two people did it before Dungeoneering came out, getting 24 99s in one day, Gonga Jew did it absolutely ages ago, like not that long after Summ came out, or maybe it was even before SUmm came out, and Shimon142 did it a bit before Dg came out. Edit: Correction, Gonga Jew got 22 99s at once, which was maxing out all but Slayer at the time, as it was in September 2007, months before Summoning came out. Congrats on biggest lead on #2 Suomi =]
  12. If your goal is DIY FM, then your goal is to be inefficient at gaining exp in Runescape. You may be "efficiently" achieving your goal. However you are not being "efficient". Being "efficient", particularly in this thread, is not that subjective. If you can only make 1m/hr, you are being inefficient in your money making, and you will remain inefficient in your money making until you are acquiring money at the maximum possible rate. (therefore all moneymaking is inefficient, just spinning bowstrings is far more inefficient than receiving 1m+ donations) If you are not making the fastest possible experience gains, you are being at least partially inefficient, on some level.
  13. @Desuptycapslock Your interpretation is wrong because you do not get to "consider" someone more efficient. "pro" and "efficient" are totally different. Pro is subjective (well, not really, it means you get paid to perform the activity in question, but not in the sense it is used in Runescape, where it means to be considered very good at the game in one of a multitude of possible ways) but efficiency is not up for discussion. Efficiency is minimising wasted time, and maximising exp gain for time spent, this is not necessarily purely exp/hr, but also taking into account other things like how you make the money to spend on costly skilling methods and all other considerations that affect time spent to gain the exp. I believe this is the situation you were talking about before, with one player going max rate with Yews vs another player burning Magics but wasting ticks while doing so and thus lowering their exp rate to equal that of the max rate Yew burner. In my discussion of the situation the number are purely for example purposes and have no basis in real RS possibilities. So, If someone got 200m FM in 400 hours FMing time, burning Yews and spending say 400m on the logs, and another player got 200m FM in an equal 400 hours FMing time, burning Magics and spending say 800m on the logs, it may appear that the Yew burner can easily be seen to be the more efficient. However, if the time that the Yew burner spent to acquire the 400m exceeds the time that it took the Magic burner to acquire his 800m, say the Yew burner hunted bosses and took 200 hours to make 400m, whereas the Magic burner merchanted rares and received donations and took only 100 hours to make his 800m, then the Yew burner spent 600 hours in total, between both making the money and FMing, and the Magic burner spent 500 hours in total, between both making the money and FMing, therefore the tick missing (not "pro" in most peoples opinions) Magic burner would be the more efficient player, as his increased rate of money making more than made up for his lower rate of logs/hr burned. In the specific example you gave, which made no mention of time spent making the money, the only fair assumption to make regarding the money situation is that both players have more than enough money than they will ever need and acquired it in 0 hours. In that case which you gave, the players would be equally efficient. Your point about the Yew burner saving money is only relevant if the Magic burner spent more hours making the 800m than the Yew burner spent making his 400m. - Once again these numbers are for example purposes only, please don't bother pointing out that it's unlikely a player who would slack their ass off burning Magics at only the max rate possible with Yews would make money twice as fast as someone who would do perfect hours with Yews. Note: Strictly speaking, although there is no way on this or any other earth I can be bothered doing so, effigies would come into the total efficiency calculation of this situation. Since effigies it is now necessary for a truly accurate efficiency calculation (regarding the goal of 200m all skills, as every post in this thread should be) to calculate how many hours each player wasted of saved hours making money and FMing, by capping their FM exp and denying themselves the effigy exp in it. The time value wasted by not utilising FM effigies of course must be compared to the time saved in Cooking by now using the effigies on that. The amount of melee and ranged exp the players already have is also relevant to the calculation, as capping melee and ranged exp will affect the overall efficiency of effigy gathering methods. Damn effigies have made the game complicated. Also, I apologise if my wording in this post sounds pretentious or just plain weird, studying/writing essays makes me think of everything in a studying/writing essays type way for a while. @Suomi This picture made me smile. I love the idea that Jagex would welcome you on stage or something at your first RuneFest, and either they or you could tell everyone that the reason you could not attend the previous RuneFests was that you were too busy playing RS.
  14. Lol @ Divine God rank 4 before every #### put "Divine" in their name.
  15. Uloveme, perm banned for account sharing. top22 aswell. Blow both theories at once :P Feb 23, 2010 according to Runewiki was the date of the d bolt glitch. Jagex also released this statement showing the top10 ranked players that got banned for it: Official news post. The top person was max total. Doesn't blow the "Jagex watch top players for botting" theory (firstly because that was about botting, not account sharing, but anyway) because there's no way to know if someone's account sharing with someone on the same computer, Jagex could well have been watching the Uloveme account very closely but they still never had a reason to ban until she admitted it. I don't think Uloveme would "only" have 520 days played, she was extremely oldschool and would have had to put in massive hours to be so highly ranked for many years. Could be her though, hard to be sure when it comes to playtime sometimes. Edit: Thank you Gem, so looks like ban for account sharing is more likely.
  16. I believe she admitted to account sharing with her husband for many years, just what I heard. Is there any info on the date of her ban? Not that I know the date of the bolt glitch but I'm sure it's well known.
  17. Uloveme, perm banned for account sharing.
  18. Notice the date on his post of his desktop, 8 months before the ban which as we can see if the offence pillar pic is legit, was for an offence other than botting. The ban and the desktop screenshot don't seem all that related.
  19. I would hope that at least the top 22 are watched closely enough that no one can get up there by botting. I think that those watched closest are the big gainers, putting in big hours, so essentially the people we talk about in this thread, so I doubt a 5b total contender will be banned.
  20. SW bank was hilarious this morning hehe, enjoy your last couple mil Herb exp Suomi =]
  21. They're still dropping even further below 300 each. If I were you I'd help Suomi out and get your cash out of the item by selling to him. Up to you though, never know what could happen in the market.
  22. Unless you need the invent space you save by using Super Prayers instead of regular prayer pots, it isn't inefficient at all, because every time you drink you should be reclicking the monster to avoid losing an attack turn waiting for auto-retaliate, so frequency of pot usage doesn't need to slow you down at all.
  23. Dapledo trains skills in pairs quite often, I assume alternating between two to avoid boredom with one skill. Aiming for the same exp milestone in both skills and only training those two largely until he reaches both goals at around the same time. This may explain why he chooses to train Mining and only mining, rather than combining it with Smith and Magic.
