  1. you got 94 mage so... thats enough mage def to solo kree. rune cbow + addy bolt for kc - collect noted addy bars and either sell or make more ammo.
  2. elite void+deflector+sol+arcane stream+ slayer/magic dart not bad for grinding kurasks if you need kurask head barrowing some duel arena glove+arcane probably better, but I wanted to play with deflector after I got it and the above was good for maybe 15 hrs of goofing off for me.
  3. 'bank more than once a task' uhm... because you'll fill up with gems at goraks, herbs at spectres, bars at mithrils if yer bag fulla food and potions you dont need? yeah I'd yak scroll home 64 red hides for a sumona red drag task or 50 wyvern bones so yknow... ok... I didnt use sgs there. 'cannon spectres' uhm... unless you hate wearing robes and get yer mage xp from a wolpertinger as often as possible 'more slay xp blah blah' mmk. I have all the slayer heads and a couple slay pets in my poh. 'guthans is so 2007' ok block goraks and terror dogs then. I did 'em because they're not bad loot for gems/blue charms. guthans is the easy way to grind em out while you eat pizza and watch subtitled Japanese gangster movies from the 60s. hey not sure if I have activated the i-love-my-bandos defence feature on you guys or what... I own bandos too. but I really got more use out of sgs/karils as I caped slayer... and thats before homegirl's cave, so... I surrender that her tasks in that little cave with that funny blue ring might make more of a mini game out of slayer these days.
  4. find out more. I'll be waiting.

  5. oh my... I do not know how to use that comparison feature... thats... awesome! thanks for showing me that!
  6. I have more dg xp than you. Get under me now. yeah man you kick ass. you really mage in dungeons? nice surgebox etc. why you defending those melee only brats?
  7. yeah hope yer hexhunter stays bound. good luck. and make sure that DGS blacklists me the way I asked before I got pruned out of that thread.
  8. Er... no... really. I would get a task for 100+ black dragons and go do KBD. Its not "max slay an hr!!!111" like those swedish guys who put a cannon on baby black dragons, but... um... I also have a POH with every single slayer head mounted. Idk. I'd have got bored doing easier monsters for my tasks, so yeah... I advise changing gear for every task and not minmaxing slayer like it was one of those goofy minigames like pest control or soul wars that you dont want to spend any money on - where bandos would be more attractive (since you can buy, use it a week, and sell it back without losing money). yeah I wouldnt get lazy and kill with an sgs, but its special that restores prayer points does mean you get more kills between banking. so yeah. 50% of my slayer tasks were done in Karil's top/bottom. I think I was at like... +150 mage def w/ karil, firecape, dfs, etc. karils is really great, of course, because its +0 stab, slash, crush. you can't really sub armadyls back in. edit/reminder: I have... everything. I've been playing a long time and I like collecting cool stuff. but this guy at 85 slayer sayin I have X amount of money to spend... I'd use that amount of money to buy things in this order: sgs, karils top/bottom, dfs (and whip)(for attack/def focus), zamorak spear, sara sword (for str focus), verac top/bottom, full guthan, and then bandos last.
  9. serious about having TWICE the experience of the noobs sniping me? yeah I am. gf noobs.
  10. J R Kerr has 40,000,000 dungeoneering experience. You noobs are where you belong in the rankings: below me.
  11. wow so... the longer you're at this forum the more you can get away with? someone can call me leecher, someone can write I suck, and then one more fairy with a fake name can express fake bravado? and these comments remain in place after I report them for [bleep]ing with me personally after I hadn't actually picked anyone in particular to mess with? wow... um... that'd be why they are levels 90-100 dungeoneering and not 110 like me.
  12. oh sure. ee is great. but thats... free. he is saying I have X amount of money to spend on accelerating slay xp - if I can extrapolate that from his first post and then... with ge the way it is today... sgs is suddenly much cheaper and bandos is kinda stable/high maybe resource dungeon ranarr spawns drove pray potion cost down so much that an sgs takes longer to pay for itself in prayer potion saving, but... spec'ing dark beats with sgs in proselyte is clearly more useful than... taking damage from dark beasts in bandos and using ee special to heal.
  13. 16m slay xp here. I felt like I wore Karil's 50% of the time for its mage def, Proselyte 25% for its prayer bonus, or 25% Verac/Guthan/Torag for the more challenging slayer tasks like Kalphite Queen (verac) or Terrordogs/goraks (guthan). I didnt use Bandos once and I never felt like +6 strength wouldve sped it up. I did use the hell out of extreme potions, combat familiars, prayers and the sgs special attack. sgs > bandos.
  14. its good to know who the clans are. the biggest problem with clanning for me is that I want to play NOW with anyone who is ready. I'm not remotely interested in waiting 20 minutes for clan players who then want to brag we did a 20 minute large: I would far rather play a 40 minute large with 4 random people who were ready to play when I want. its roughly true that there are about 5,000 people 99+ and about 1,000 people ready to play as deep as me to floor 55. so... I find Im often playing with folk from rawr, dge, or 3bo... and every once in awhile some forum queen bee will try a flame that Im going to get blacklisted with her whole swarm of worker bees for telling her to [bleep] off and leave me alone (I wish I could get blacklisted. ha ha. none of the spastics read their clan blacklists though so it wouldnt help). players kinda new to clan/themed world are kinda worse. w148 was about 50% the sort to flood my screen with "umg wut u dooo? y u leech kerr? ggs! ggs! ggs!" while I'm busy runecrafting entangles or something that mean I dont need pray, food, altars like the cry baby law-binder, bob-loader, eel-juicer, primal mauling halfwits do. w53 -was- a lot better because they just dont talk that much. they ran like hell, left the text window alone, and we all understood each other quietly by checking the map and ring interface. now... it was almost always true they'd have ssh, primal plate, primal battleaxe and celestial surgebox bound and all look the same, and they were clearly more judgmental of me for showing up in range gear, but... I'd do 2-4 warped floors with them even though they didnt 100% approve of my setup. oh yeah but of course... if you ever join a party and 3 of the members have the same prefix/suffix like... Johnny_SyCopHANt Maria_SyCopHANt 420weasel_SyCopHANt then leave, leave, leave. Don't even start. They hold a majority and they will kick you at the boss door after you have prepped for the boss. Theyre doing it maliciously to kill yer dng xp and yer dng rank... because they can.
  15. well yeah in the normal world. dungeoneering is different in that... and I dont know if you've done a bunch of "99 slayer only" 5 man dungeons or not, but say 10 of 100 monsters in rooms of dungeons are always slayer monsters... then when you do a 99 slay only you'll find that those 10 slayer monsters aren't so much jellies, but more spiritual guardians. its obivous and demonstrable by quantative analysis to say there are a fixed percent slay monster, and then imprecise qualitative analysis leads me to believe these 10% slayer monster are linked because they seem to upgrade a little for higher slayer leveled dungeoneers all at once. I won't extrapolate from 5 soulgazer kills I did that I can prove I was doing something better to generate soulgazers to kill than somebody who rushed and only cleared gds, but... it sure felt that way. I killed a whole bunch of extra jellies, slimes, pyrefiends, etc and it really felt like I wound up with neat slayer things a lot sooner than other rusher elitist types. oh right and... I logged back in to publicly speculate about this... I have seen a bunch of folks sip an overload before they go into a dungeon. I never tried eating a wild pie to boost to level 104 slayer before starting. I can't help but wonder if it wouldnt help goose the selection of slayer monsters up a little bit if five level 99 slayers ate some wild pie before they started a dungeon. I hypothesize that it wouldn't fill your dungeons with edimmu, but... that 99 slay x5 would generate 30 edimmu in 100 dungeons and that 104 slay x5 would generate 35 edimmu in 100 dungeons. something subtle like that if it worked at all.
  16. erm... idk gem drop you speak of exactly, but... I have solo'ed Kree'arra and logged his drops for about 1200 kills. I stayed to kill him 3,000 more times too, but I stopped logging the drops because the pattern stayed true. http://www.dogheaddevilbarking.com/arm_drop.txt so yeah that drop of the uncut sapphire falls right on that rigged 40 kree kill mark. it didnt matter if I stopped to do slayer tasks, killed 40 aviansie or 60, did bork or not. none of that. the wheel for kree was separate from the wheel for everything else. a dungeon could have nothing but slayer monsters: doesn't. a dungeon could never have any slayer monsters: doesn't. dungeons always have a set % of slayer monsters present: true. problem is that high level rushers dont want grounding boots from jellies and act like jellies arent slayer monsters. a lot of these same high level rushers dont have hexhunters. so Im not saying I can prove I am right or that it would work like... you hear the drop rate for dragon full helm is 1 in 45,000 then go kill 45k mith and start whining about the drop rate being wrong - its a matter of improbability. it becomes statistically more improbable that you'd not get a dragon full helm with every mithril dragon you kill. so Im saying that a drop rate for hexhunter is not wholly dependant on the number of soulgazer kills. in a weird/broad sense Im right anyway because you have to kill guardians of guardian doors and bosses to leave each floor... and you cant see soulgazers til floor 12. I think. I know you can see nechs on floor 12 anyway. The lowest floor I ever saw a soulgazer (and I only saw 5 ever) was floor 47. The shallowest floor I ever saw an edimmu was floor 30. ...and it won't hurt your level mod bonus % to take some challenging slayer kills out of dead end rooms either. p.s. it sounds like yer ok with me saying wheel. cool. a lot of people challenge me on that and my source is that one letters to guthix where somebody asks about ring of wealth helping and guthix answers that there are two roulette wheels where 1 spot on the first wheel will take you to the second, that the second wheel has many blank slots, and that the ring of wealth removes most of the blank slots from your rare wheel spin when you actually get a rare wheel spin.
  17. yeesh. I wish I could. I was on world 53 last friday when it crashed at 5pm london time. 30 minutes later all the lv 100+ dungeoneers signed back in and found our binds gone. a whole bunch of them organized fast c5 grinds to get primal platebody(b) back etc because not all of them are even 90+ slayer and didnt lose blood necklace or hexhunter. so... I don't have anything bound but sag p++ arrows anymore. the developers are in the back and the response/customer support team out front. the response team has been shutting me down with "we cannot restore lost items" because they weren't properly informed by the dungeoneering team how binds are supposed to differ from losable items. sigh. um... if I luck out and get the right attention to have my binds debugged and i can see them again I'll let you know with screenshot evidence. I can't screenie anything to prove weapon speed, but i can testify the hex is a shortbow - I get pulled off the divine skinweaver healing plate to shoot at skelemages across the room etc. Its a speed six weapon like magic shortbow or sagittarian shortbow. I am pretty sure the blood necklace has a weight of zero. I don't know what shadow silk hood weighs and whether or not my bag was empty when I screen captured the hex. In fact you can see a little black mark on my screen capture of the blood because I must've screen capped a c1 where I had 60 kilos of katagon, ectorobe, and stegoleather in my bag and decided to photoshop zero back over it for clarity's sake where i used the picture on facebook for a pal's consideration. hope I'm helping. um... it may or may not help to post this, but I can also tell you that unmodified the hex throws bright orange damage splats about half the time even when it doesnt seem to be a real max hit for you... as if its glowing to indicate the critical effect on a mage happened. so I might take my first few kills seeing a bunch of bright orange 300s and 400s, but then before the boss fight when I am stacking up the efects of lv 124 range with a strong range potion, 20% desperado w/ all ten tier upgrades, and the 20% rigour prayer... then I throw a pretty steady stream of glowing orange 580 to 600s as screen capped here on a lv 500ish unholy cursebearer with some obvious nooby w117 guys dawdling outside.
  18. I ran my own website and forum for a bit. I know one of my primitive tools would give me a list of all IPs that visitied/used my site. Tip it does not seem heavily vested in triumvirate, clan, or whatever pursuits... and I am given comfort to have seen that the first few editorials on wildy/free trade said they voted no, but... what measures are there to dump IP logs from offsite clans trying nuke, hash, steal, or w/e the IP log for this site? wouldn't they get a list of IPs to ping storm to knock a whole bunch of players off a world if tip it tried a nex event or clan wars challenge? I have some faith in you guys, but please tell me you shred some of that conspicuous data after a month or so... or./.. y'know... don't tell me.... and then just like do what it is you do for security anyway without informing malicious stalkers. cheers.
  19. My real name is J.R. Kerr and I am a monster. The only thing I follow rules for are video games. In life I would be quick to steal a friend's girlfriend, tell a mother at the grocery store she has an ugly baby, punch someone for looking at me funny, shoot an 800 lbs wild boar eight times in the face with a 50 cal desert eagle on a boar hunt in arkansas, jerk a chevy 350 motor and rebuild it myself, tell a queer studies graduate media studies professor with my scholarship at stake that he was a silly [bleep] to like jane campion (and thats not a homophobic slur in that context), and I love auditing people's taste catalogue with venomous scrutiny. I can pick on anything. I have a little infamy that follows me. I am actually "the" knife-only guy. Thats me. http://www.gamefaqs.com/features/recognition/4098.html If you ever watched pvp or saw anyone in a "run with knife" shirt - that started because of me. Im an old man, yes, but thats really me. I have been informed by and submitted information to tip its database, but I have never used the forums before. I join today because I need a sympathetic chorus of "dude... that sucks" to shower me and help me try to manage my rage. Last Friday the crash of world 53 was answered only by Mod Dowd "we are aware some cannot log back" and then the announcement "we restarted the world and you can log back in now" and then the whole thread was locked. All of whatever clan it is of level 100+ dungeoneers on world 53 (are they 3BO, DGE, or Rawr? I honestly dont know) jumped in and saw, that yes, all of us that had been dungeoneering when the world crashed lost our bound items. Perhaps a hundred players, many of them white crowned player moderators, started some half-heartedly pragmatic attempts to play on: "Can we hunt this c5 floor til all of us get a primal platebody back?" and the like. I started submitting bug reports and calling for an announcement to the forums that would be "we know something else went wrong and we'll try to fix it," but its become clear as 5 more days have come and gone that Jagex's response team doesn't have any [bleep]ing clue how it would be different and/or worse for a maxed 138 to lose a hexhunter bow(b) than to lose a whole [bleep]ing set of torva armour. Its also clear that Jagex responds inversely to melodrama. A player saying "I will firebomb the Cambridge office" would be laughed off. A player saying "I will just go play Warcraft so cancel this kiddy MMO account" would be taken a lot more seriously. So I've really tried to rise above the new flood of problems from new wildy/free trade complaints that are "I got killed and lost my ranger boots," "I paid 40m for snakeskin boots," and "gimme me lost stuff back wah wah" with a line of rhetoric that has to do this thing where... I imply that like Doctor Who leaning over to the policeman and whispering "doesn't she look tired?" to depose Margo from her Prime Minister seat... I have had to start making it clear that I can whisper into the ears of people who lead opinions on game theory, people at QuakeCon in Dallas, people at Blizzcon with ties to the entertainment television biz just down the road, published PhD authorities and the like... everything that would hurt the everliving [cabbage] out of Jagex's ability to make money in ways that they can't address... you may not know this but England has different laws about libel/slander. In American if a journalist prints a story "hairdresser x is not gay" and the hairdresser sues because he loses business as ladies go look for a gay hairdresser (this is a true/real example btw) then the American journalist goes to trial and only has to say that he believed it was true that the hairdresser was actually heterosexual. He doesn't have to prove anything is true, just testify he believed what he said/published was true. In England the case doesn't end with truth. If the hairdresser can prove he lost x amount of money after/because of the hetero announcement then... the journalist has to pay even if what he said was true. Because Jagex is English we all sort of have to be careful. If we're going to write a few letters to some really rich people that wind up costing Jagex a few million dollars as our revenge for their mismanagement of our accounts, then... we kinda have to be careful that they don't see the paper trail leading back to us. Ok that said... hi. hello. Im trying to be patient and not destroy Jagex. i actually can destroy this game without any illegal activity (at least not illegal in america) or terrorism and I will if I can't keep my temper. Please help me. I do love runescape - I just hate the half of the Jagex team that screens player feedback to the developers in the back.
  20. 39,822,972 dungeoneering experience on me. I bound blood necklace at 33m xp after killing maybe 30 edimmu. I bound hexhunter at 34m dng xp after killing 5 soulgazers. I strongly feel that the only thing you can do to improve your odds is to make sure that you kill all slayer monsters. They share a rare item drop wheel and they are placed by percent to each floor and as such... they're linked. So even if you're rushing with one of those clans on an unofficial theme world like 53 or 148... go into dead end rooms to kill the jellies, pyrefiends, slimes, spiritual guardians, seekers, etc. In a manner of speaking... every time you kill a pyrefiend and it doesn't drop a flameburst defender your odds to get a hexhunter improve. Don't be sad if a flameburst defender does drop - it means the wheel is spinning. Keep going. Now... all that said... if you get a hexhunter bound then STOP dungeoneering until further notice. There is a standing bug where if a world server crashes WHILE you are dungeoneering: your bind items will be gone when you log back in after a world reboot. Its not safe to dungeoneer until they announce they have fixed this bug. Losing a hexhunter is like... being expelled from a prestigious university. There is too much shame to swallow and most people will not understand your petitions for repair. Yes. I lost a hexhunter to this bug. Thats why I joined this forum. I need some emotional support or I will leave Texas and take a world burning wrath to Cambridge.
  21. The hexhunter bow has +5 magic defence. Please add this info to the item database. sorry... this is all I have for evidence:
  22. the reason to petition jagex for a bind copy bank is for its use as a recovery option. if you are dungeoneering/in a dungeon when a world server crashes then your 1-4 bound items drop to the floor along with all your other held items. you will log back in and have only your 125 arrows/runes. mods like boba, dowd, liv, rawny, amandaj, etc form a wall of response that reads only "lost" and "item" from your report and they squash it with "jagex cannot restore lost items" mods like mat k, john h understand - they seem to play - but they do not seem able to flag your report with due priority for consideration by the Quality Assurance, Bugtracking, Abuse Teams. Obviously the QA/Bug team would perform the function of fixing the bug, but at present only the softer penalty abuse team has the rollback button. so because its a low priority... it takes a week+ to get through the line of reports (and that was before the deluge of reports accompanying the wildy/free trade update) 90% of the affected dungeoneering profiles will have done their own repair in that time and replaced things like primal platebody(b), primal battleaxe(b), and maybe even have been as lucky as to have reobtained shadow silk hood(b); but then... those of us who are trying to reobtain hexhunter bow(b) and blood necklace(b) have... no reason to feel secure enough to try. why spend a month, year, or 66,000,000 more xp to get another few soulgazers killed? you know you won't be able to keep the hexhunter next world crash either. so... we have to petition for some kind of bind bank. something that allows us to recover our own stuff.
