  1. I'd have to agree, since the "loadstones" are convenient for skillers and for new players. By the way, they're spelled as "lodestones", but they may as well be loadstones since the animations take such a damn long time.
  2. Basically, does a hunter potion's boost (or mud bath's boost) stack with the invisible boost of a spirit larupia or arctic bear? I've been getting different answers from other sources. Thanks for any help.
  3. You can buy plenty of stuff for under market price. It just takes a while to buy.
  4. I think logging out and logging back in helps it sometimes.
  5. Train cooking and firemaking because those are really easy to level in f2p. I'm guessing you should try mining runite as well. Clan wars is pretty fun and so is the Great Orb Project. Or you can go revenant hunting with me :P (see events forum)
  6. Just join my friends chat. I'm not quite certain about the time since my playing schedule is horrible. If I see enough people in the chat or online, we'll decide on a world and meet.
  7. If anyone feels like going to the forinthry dungeon to kill revenants, just add me (or levine1996) in game and I'll try to arrange a time to meet. Hopefully we can get at least, at the bare minimum, 3 people per run. The more the merrier. It's pretty much impossible to kill revs while soloing or even duoing for that matter.... Recommended: 70+ combat level. Anyone can come, but revenants are pretty tough.. Lobsters or better food. Strength potions Teleport (though the dungeon is in around 30 wilderness) Amulet of power, Full rune with rune scimitar and protect from magic prayer OR Amulet of power, Rune full helm, dhide body, dhide legs, dhide vambs, rune kiteshield, rune scimitar OR Ranging gear. Team - 3 cape, so we don't accidentally attack each other Join my friends chat whenever you are free, and if we have enough people, I'll arrange a time. If you happen to die, I'll definitely try to return your items. Also, we'll meet on low populated worlds so there most likely won't be any pkers, and we're safe in a group. Drops so far: Zamorak Statuette Corrupt Dragon Dagger Post here if you're interested
  8. levine...rev hunt sometime? we should start an f2p rev hunting thread. Also, nice progress on skills.
  9. If F2P hadn't existed in the first place and Jagex had done a 'trial' period for new players instead, RS would probably have been better off, at least then there wouldn't have been all these unreasonable demands and the expectations would have been clear. I cannot see how your point is valid in any way. There's a reason why runescape has been so successful. 1. Because it's a browser game and 2. Because there's a free to play version. Not everyone is a hardcore gamer that plays enough to justify their spending. With all the free games you can torrent/ download these days, it'd be difficult to convince a person to play runescape without an f2p. Besides, if you get rid of the f2p community, you'd get rid of a large portion of runescape's players. Nobody wants to play an MMORPG with a small community.
  10. If there wasn't a f2p or f2p community, runescape probably would have died like 8 years ago.
  11. Nice vid. Kinda funny how even you were killed by claws as well lol. Only further proves your point.
  12. Yah, I accidentally missed one (stupid sandwich lady) and got like 4 randoms in about 4 hours or something.
  13. The best iron mine in f2p (and probably p2p as well) is the one with the deposit box in the resource dungeon at the falador dwarven mines, which is what I was kinda hinting at in the original post. Being the best spot in the game, it's usually pretty sought after. When I mine, I usually hop around 3 or 4 times and then give up because literally every world has someone. I do make an effort not to steal and always feel guilty when I do. At least when I don't get reported... There are iron mines besides the best one in the game! Lower levels can train elsewhere while leaving the better spots for the high leveled players. I know I sound kind of like a jerk, but the strongest should be able to reap the benefits. Agree with hedgehog and kaida on the server ping thing though.
  14. I'll admit that I've stolen another person's resource spot a few times, even though they arrive first. This is especially true for mining iron, rune etc. (I'm f2p) . Before, I used to do it only after hopping to a few different worlds first, but now I've gotten kind of lazy :P. Often, I leave after a few minutes if the guy asks politely, but there have been a couple of times where I've been cussed out or even reported (the things I've been reported for >.<) Here are some of my personal reasons: Supporting stealing - The spot doesn't have their names on it; it belongs to everyone and should be taken by anyone who wants it - The higher leveled person should not have to hop around and have reduced xp/ waste time; after all, they did work for it - If the lower leveled person cannot compete, then they should instead move to a worse quality/ less popular location. - Pains me to see a noob using a mithril pickaxe or something at such a good spot D: Against stealing - RAWR I was here first. (I'll admit that's a pretty good reason) - You shouldn't be a total dbag and ruin the game for everyone - Ethical/ moral reasons Well those are most of the arguments I can think of right now. Please leave comments or your own personal reasons and vote in the poll ^.
  15. I usually use a 2H probably because I dg for fun... and I'm too lazy to change my binds. With a 2H you can heal others/ pick up stuff/ bunch of other stuff between hits cuz it's slightly slower, but idk how well that applies to soloing..
  16. Ommggzzzzzz scammed 10k quitting rs 4 lyf D: D: D: !!1one!!!!11 ok not really quitting but I was "scammed" 10k. I was standing at the G.E. derping around and then some guy starts saying "doubling money" (which you can see pretty much anytime at the ge). Usually, with money doublers, you can offer a "test" trade to prove that they're legit and then just leave after they pay you back double. This is usually a small amount to lure you into trading more next time. In this case the guy was lvl 110 (this is an f2p world btw) so I assumed that he was at least relatively rich.... me: test trade? lvl 110: ok. I give him 10k . me: can i haz money nao? lvl 110: Omg lvl 110: UR SO DUMB. *logs off* As you can assume I was absolutely infuriated and proceeded to report him, rage about it in chat, alt+F4, saw my computer in half, throw it out the window, cry, and jump out the window along with the computer. Meanwhile at the lvl 110's house: I can imagine him as if he were Smeagol after obtaining the ring. YESSS IT'S FINALLY OURS!!! Let me remind you again that he was lvl 110....scammers these days >.>
  17. not if I wanted to go the other direction (west instead of east) :P
  18. It's faster to just run out the gate when it's open. Plus the stile is pretty far to click on the screen, animation takes some time, and it's easier to just use the minimap to move.
  19. Doors in runescape are pretty annoying, but the gate at the cabbage patch is just frustrating. After teleporting, I usually click to go in the direction of draynor village, but half the time the gate is closed so I end up going the opposite direction. If you're f2p you'd understand lol. Suggestion is to leave the gate permanently open or just remove it. I know the suggestion to leave all doors permanently open or automatically open has been mentioned before by Fellfrosch6, but apparently Jagex has its reasons for not leaving them all open. List all doors that should be removed/ kept open here.
  20. Sureeee. I'm f2p as well so I'll dung with you when I can, but I can't do it that often. I'll add you in-game.
  21. hmm.. wait is jagex already working on a new xp counter? Well, don't I just feel silly now.
  22. I don't know if there is any way to view it, but you should be able to see the last time you reset your xp counter. right click on your xp counter next to the minimap, and there should be an option to "view date of reset". Clicking on it would show in either the chatbox or popup, the hour or date of the last reset. This would be helpful to see how much I progressed during the past few days, or assist in measuring xp per hour.
  23. I know this is an old topic, but Jagex just implemented this into the game (not quite sure when). You can now toggle right click reporting when you click on options.
  24. lol cool thx for agreeing with my idea. Obviously I support.
