recoloured the armour and dagger as my epxeriment didn't look as nice as my other experiment (robes) did
-
I like the mage robes, was unsure on the other guys dagger and armour colours, but I was trying to go for something different. but I think I may switch it back to being red dagger and brown armour as it does look a bit weird

updated with 2nd character dun
-
Ok somehow I managed to make it quote the original post as a new reply when I was editting it so opps
-
finally finished
rate and c/c plz
-
If you've dun the basic character it would work way better if u uploaded it to give us an idea of what it looks like. Since the bg should suit the character.
I mean for all we know it could be a monk style person praying away then we would suggest wildy whihc doesn't match
-
Ok finished the linework finally any last c/cs?
-
sounds like an interesting idea, never seen it done here.
I would offer, but I am kind of busy atm doing my own new pixel
-
Yeah I agrre it wouldn;t be tht big a difference, but it will still give a slight shadow especially round the lower regions from what I seen of his lighting and although it is a kind of minro detail it would make a big difference to the overall effect
-
There not the best quality in the world. But since its only practice you can use the lines i had for my current sig I guess:
-
Can I practice my shading on that sig?
Sorry you can't. Its my current wip. Was easiest linework building example for me to grab at short notice.
thats not even up-to-date as i drawn half a bg now
and dun go trying anything funny as it falls under my copyright (doubt you would since u asked by first, but thought'd i'd say neway)
-
Your only flaw is since black doesn't have darker tones u used lighter tones as the shadow, whihc don;t work
Black you shade in reverse, so the shadow dominates while the highlight in minimal as shown on robes here:
bot best pixel in the world, but it shows blk shading dun quite well
other than tht why have u just drawn lines down the robe bottoms?
Also shade around the red neck pieces, they 'bulge' out so cast shaodw (see my current sig for example of tht)
-
There are many pixel tutorials around here if u use the search button.
but I would suggest making urself rough stick figures, then slowly building line work around them pixel by pixel. like this set of images show:
-
um wat r we c/cing?
you posted no image
you have no sig
you have no avvie
So there is nothing to c/c

well beaches are perticualy hard because they look like one colour
??????
Have you ever seen a beach?
At a glance yes they r just a sand yellow, but take a moment to consider them
they are made of thousands of grains of slightly differently toned grains, plus they have some black grains
So best way to pixel it: get a mid tone to put u base on then cover it with random pixels of like 3 darker and 3 lighter tones, then finish it off with a few black pixels
Should give you a nice sand effect.
spent around 1min in paint doing a speed version of what I just descirbe and look:
Not the best cause of how fast I did it, but u can see the effect
Bruh, have you ever seen a beach?... the grains are ALL clear, but the dirt underneath them, and the dun meke them seem certain colors (much like a polar bear).... so the nearer the sun the brighter the farther the drker, and sand is well sand, so the grains of different tones will be all over like said so first do basic shading then put random shades (not too dark, and not too bright) ino the sand
Well duh, I was just giving instructions on how to get the desired texture. Of course it is shaded as a normal pixel is.
I mean all textures can be explained in tht way, but then when applied are shaded properly

the bottom of the robe looks a little rediculous. It looks like he's floating in midair
I don't quite follow what you mean. Care to elaborate?
-
I feel generous so I did it as best I could.
Would of been way easier if u had them as iduvidual images of all the same size. As it is i had to manually move each character to try and get them to not slide sideways as they move. Its not perfect, but what do u expect for free?

I think theres an anti blood rule i know there was not sure if its still there but here ya go anyway
http://img488.imageshack.us/img488/7074/rthdfhd5at.jpg
thanks, i dont think thisn is all that bloody and gory ive seen worse in other sigs and its not real...its just red...
Its an ain;t gore rule, a little bit of blood is allowed on tip.it, but no excessive gore
-
depends what sort of sig you mean really.
Pixels
anything from paint upwards will do the job
Brushing
Photoshop is generally the way to go
Renders
I have no idea I am guessing photoshop again?
But to be honest as people have yet again said it, pixels made in paint have no differece to thoose made in a 'better' program. It is still exactly the same. If you pixel in any program you are using zoom tool, a single pixel sized brush tool (some progs have this stead of pencil) or pencil toll and the colour palette. It's still exactly the same, I could easily transfer into doing my pixelling in paint, just as thoose in paint could easily do thier work in paint shop pro like i do. It just comes down to what program you are used to using

Well I ain;t surprised the forum is called "the black market"
But how sad, that is why copyrights are so gd nowadays
I know my work ain't the best but my website copyrights anything and everything made under the name of Paw Claw. Which is why if I ever make a sig not for myself it will say Paw Claw somewhere on it.
Its sort of handy really, already used it once to stop wrip off the pyro lord movies, it never made here but on another forum someone posted parts 3 4 5 and 6 of the pyro lord using mine and my actors names when we not filmed anything since part 2
Anyway I went and tht link and was like wow its a gallery of mxm's work with sample plastered all over it

how long did the original line drawing take to make?
i am no expert on this myself, but I would estimate that line work would of taken him around 3 or 4 days
I doubt it would've taken that long, it looks to be 2 to 3 hours max, propably not even that.
told u i ain't an expert, but I think it is kind of hard for others to say for a person as all pixellers seem to work at different rates. I mean my first set of lines i doing on computer I been doing for like 5 or 6 hours (i think not sure how long i worked on it for today) and not even finished the 2 characters
-
Yeah not pebble dash, if you look at the walls (copy and zoom it) in my sig u can see how i got a stone like effect
