Technically if u cut the logs urself ur not making a lose though.
Just because a resource CAN be sold X amount doesn't mean ur losing that muhc if you gather it then don't sell it
eg:
account has 1mil cash
cuts 2k willow logs
burns 2k willow logs
account profit/lose = 0
since no money was paid for the logs no money is lsot by burning them and out of all the skills fm isn;t generally bought for anyway as 90% of people only buy resources for skills where they make profit (eg buy essy 40ea rc nats or laws and sell for like 400ea)
If the guy would have cut 2k willows and sold them at 35 each he would have gotten 70K. When he uses my method then, and burns 2 logs at 12 gp each, he will have still 46k left.
However, if he would have burned his logs right after cutting (port sarim is good for this) then that would have taken less time. But i heard more than one time that people cut them in draynor, bank them, and burn them later. And in that case, my method is working fine.
Its also focused to be cheap, cause yew burning is a hell lot faster, but much more expensive.
I'm not denying that ur method makes money, I am just saying your not making any lose if u cut ur own logs. It has no effect on ur bank balance only ur xp

wow how pointless
I see no use in it really
Most people here don't rate sigs against each other in such ways (unless it is multiple version of same thing) they rate a sig according to how it suits its purpose etc so such a 'contest' seems very much like spam to me
guess i'll found out if I am outspoken or not when people read this or when a mod gets on here

you crop a picture using the cropping tool in paint or any other image editting program
to put an image you must use this code:
[img=URL HERE]
-
if the program has a pencil tool (or paintbrush that can be turned down to a single solid pixel then it can be used

See what u mean bout looking like apples, when i faintly added the pebble pattern (actuall a larger pebble pattern i found than the preset one) i really brought out the pattern in the centre of the coloured bit.
It came out looking very posh for what I was trialing (hence the font), but I was definately surprised how nice it was once I alter the bg (was orginally plain mustard yellow)

I seen that new *cough* 'pixel masters' *cough* work when he posted it here little while back. I will give it to him that he has talent, but to come here for that is way to big an ego. The true master of all arts do not consider themselves a master.
And as for his actual work, it is a very blog standard style to be brutal, juts done to a high quality.
All thoose consider masters around here (eg terly and mxm) and even thoose with muhc to improve on don;t use the standrad style that much, we all (I include myself in that we even if i am rubbish atm) have very unique styles.
some may have skinny as heck characters, some may have ott cartoon stylings, some may be as flat as paper in thier styles, but they all offer something more than a standrad pixel style
Just wanted my two peneth on this one
nice work as usual mxm (to be on topic)
spoken like a true philosopher and i for one agree with you comepletely a true master considers thereselves not a mastre but a apprentice to a wider more arrangement of learning more styles also a true master harneces there skills and helps those who are willing to learn teaching there pupils the way of a true master
always was into philosophy :D
Someone agrees with me for once, I must of changed to be more sensible and less sinical either that or the world muts be ending
couldn't resists saying that, since I am normall highly outspoken

Well After my brushing trials I practiced some more and achieved this (what I think is an) interesting affect using a pebble texture.
Rate and c/c both the sig in general and the burshing plz

yeah if people here want thier own galleries they will make them.
All the uberly well knwon pixllers already have some and I know once I got some more drawings pixel images etc dun (mainly for graphics coursework) I am going to use my webspace to make my own gallery of some description.
Its a nice idea, but too late for many I think. Plus all the pixellers work in 1 gallery? do you know how long that page would take to load?
I mean to be fair juts going on someone like mxm's gallery can take a good minute or 2 to load of broadband because of all the pictures, a gallery of everyone would be like 10 x that atleast, think of the poor people on dial up, they'd be waiting hours for it to load
Nice idea, but I doubt it'll work

if u want to brush don't mess with the filters, it messes up the whole texture of the brushes, filters may be nice on first glance but one can never truly look at it and like it.
I not dun anything to do with filters.
I dun even know exactly wat they r
Filters = effects.
You clearly stated you used em..
ahh didn't know that.
will mess around some more later, after i got some nice textures cuz i fed up of using the preset ones as I learnt as much as i can pretty much from them

Well in prepration for my graphics design work I decided to get to grips with brushing.
I tried photoshop and failed horribly, so I decided to do explroe paintshop pro (my gd old fav)
I found similar tools and figure how to work em, so did some experimenting (using only the base textures as i not got any nice ones)
and I produced these 3 whihc I think worked quite well and want some feedback on
1) Followed base principals of a brushing tutorial for this one, went bit ott with colours, and used a wave distortion for last part:
2) Tried to go a bit experimental, this one is kind of nice used 2 diff textures and a ripple effect here
3) My personal favourtie, used 4 colours and 4 textures here with a wind effect
Any comments and ratings welcomed

see this is a style i want to get to grips with, but i failed badly already. Can't even find the blooming brushes menu thingy to alter the brush

looking nice, now that other arm is in I can see the pose is right. sorry bout b4 thouhgt u were going for a slight diff pose

In a more up-to-date thread I made on request of the other actors in this board I said the xmas special had been canceled.
If you really muts know it is because Me and dandare14 are both doing mokc gcse's right now and we didn't realise how much work they required so are both finding we either don't have time to go on rs or are severly limited.
So 3 hours filming (let alone editting, scripting etc) is not really do-able
since pyro lord has got a long story will do xmas special next year and possible halloween and easter as welll, but part 3 is scheduled for febuary so you'll have to wait until then

here i spent like 10-15 minutes, I am suprised as this is my first time actually trying to draw a picture, I have tried b4 but they looked like noob things. After the sixth one I quit. Please post how I should add color and stuff and what to add for the background. Also give cc and rate please. ( I have used the pencil tool this entire time, no using the line or cirlce tool. I created this all on my own and no one else has helped me.)
don't listen to pawclaw... i like the way the head is atm... if you wanted it from the side you need three angles... paw only has 2
I can't post an image right this second but ill be back later to post one...
whats wrong with his head is that he is trying to make it look from the side but put the face straight on... you need the side of the head included
I didn't tell him to do anything to the head, I was talking about the body. He was commenting on mine being a picture psoe and I juts said that mine was only a picture psoe because my guy was looking at the 'camera' instead of at his target
-
to be brutal, if your guy is meant to have his bow drawn ready to fire in that pose he is gonna completely miss or break some ribs when he fires
Trust me I have dun archery lessons in realife
-
hmm, lets think about what u just posted...
1. I am a noob pretty much (not to be confused with newb).
2. Im not trying to get it so its a pose for a picture, more of a pose of real life hunting type picture.
I am not going for the pose u think I am but thanks for the suggestion.
the only 'picture' pose part of what i did was the head looking towards the camera
if you had the bow drawn kneeling and face the way the bow is tht is hunting pose
-
what I mean is your guys body seems to be facing the wrong way for the pose your going for.
So what I've done is I've put the basic stickman of ur pose on and taken the ranger from my sig (whihc is in pose I think u going for) and dun his stickamn
If you look I think the difference is quite obvious:
Still looking nice for a first try
and all tht fainting about mxm giving u rating not gd thing to post, it kind of gives you a noob-like appearence which doesn't bode well with some of the respected people around this board
-
the pose is a bit off, If your going for kneeling ranger with arrow drawn in bow, you don;t have the body twisted
the right pose for tht postion is shown in my sig.
If its a diff pose my bad juts ur missing arm and bow makes it hard to tell

I have a reason why i get in muddle with it:
We first got computer when i was roughly 5 and ti came with paint shop pro, so we used that
And from (roughly) when we first got it i took interest in making the images etc and was making little bgs etc, so I basically learnt on paint shop pro didn't know of paint til like 2 yrs later
and by then i was used to paint shop pro, so I just kept with it and Paint simplicity becomes surprsingly muddling when you spent 11yrs doing images in something like paint shop pro

Wrong forum
This is media discussion, we discuss media work and give c/c etc
you want media MARKET that is where sigs etc r bought and sold
-
you do all your work in ms paint  dang you are talented...
to be fair the program used basically makes no difference, if u are a true pixeller you don;t use any of the paintbrush effects etc supplied by other programs so could do you work just as well in paint. It juts comes down to what program you are used to using etc
As for the sig, I luv that d-hide effect. I saw that on one of ur other sigs and it inspired me to attempt d-hide, needless to say mine sucls atm but practice makes perfect
On a sidenote:
Terly do you have any tips for working in paint as I personally have never got on well with paint and am going to have to use it for large parts of my image work for my graphics coursework (danged skool computers) so could really do with some tips
Yet another sig, Rate please...

That is not an isometric pyramid at all
Tio do it correctly construct an isometric cube then bisect the lines around the top to get the exact isometric centre. Then drop lines from the centre point to the base corners and remove excess.
that is an isomtric pyramid
and do not challenege it I am doing graphic drawing GCSE and have just spent 4 hours revising for my mock exam on it tomorrow
