they are not taking the piss, they are giving c/c
they told you what isn't right with it like you asked
(On side note: I am amazed its someone who took real c/c worse than I did on previous occasions)

The red black and white on the main guy all need shading.
the shadow on the boots wraps around back up to the top whihc is sort of weird
And putting the skull in is sort of weird and I personally think it ruins it
also you need a nice sky stead of the grey
and maybe detail the ground a bit with some rocks or bones

ok I gave him a chin (i think)
Altered the bottom of the robes slightly to look more natural
bulked out his arms and tried to make the cuffs trail off a bit better
Other than just finished off detailing on him

yeah that doesn't quite make sense in the stick men, what I got in my head for the sig it sort of does though. althouhg I will bring the blue guy down a bit

ok updated red figure and added in the blue figure
any last tweaks to red welcomed, but mainly want blue guy c/ced atm
so I can get on with doing the actual lines

Yup it is gonna be a mage, it is going to depict Paw from my pyro lord movies other side is gonna be pyro lord getting owned and maybe an upcoming character in bg as silhouette, but we'll see

ok thanks for the points on arms and legs I pulled them both in a bit, will repost later today once I put in the figure for the other foreground character, no point in reuploading juts for thoose tiny changes.
Once thats fine I will get going on the actual lines

Yeah I am experimenting alot. 3d render vectoring etc juts blargh can't do. Burshing I think I got um a natural nack for it, so can't be bothered to practice that widely. Pixeling i think I got potential if I keep working
(started producing a new set of lines atm, so will see how muhc better I am after last c/cs soon)

I have to agree there are many salughtering it, but there are many I think who are not quite there yet, but have the potential to be good.

it is to wide compared with a head (see my piccie, it not 100% right, but i drew rouhg head mesh on to show point)
Also from zooming to do tht i noticed u shaded all edges dark and centre lights tht not right shading, light to dark goes from 1 side to other generally also u miseed the bk on the helm out. I did example for u quickly again

Only things I would say is wrongs r sort of perspectived (is tht even a word?!?) wrongly. It makes it look kind like a chuild drawing, i know its hard, but learning to give stuff correct perspective woyuld help alot
also juts to be my useless picky self i have to say other than military ones how many grey planes do you see?
Most plains are white with coloured parts, maybe try recolouring it?

Your so-called noob pixeler are just some 13 year old kids who influence by the experiance one...Not much we can do, since there are a few high quality signiture for these people to compare to their signitures, normaly they will found out that they need to improve..

Then don't post Paw, we do not need the sarcasm or the useless posts. As for rating it, I think it's pretty good, but I think you should duplicate your tentacles layers, do a radial blur on zoom, and set it to best. And go around 40-50. Then set the layer mode to overlay, and if that doesn't look good try a different one. It'll make them stand out more, plus it'll look coolio. But it does look good thus far and I like the "Pink?" pretty cool.
I have every right to post my opnions if it relates to the topic, which it did at first
and to be blunt ur not exactly blame free for making useless posts and pointless sarcasm
anyway before my grouchness gets the best of me in reality its very nice
I'd give it 7/10, definately think you need to do something about the tentacles but not sure what since I ain't that gd at putting what I mean into words.

to be far pixels still aren't used by 'any noob' as you said
firstly 'any noob' can't actually make a pixel of any quality, so even if seen with one people think little to nothing of it
secondly 'any noob' can't afford to buy a decent pixel
So yes they may be out there, but as with any style for every 1 good example that people actually like there are like 100 bad ones made by any noob that barely qualify as an image let alone an artt such as pixel

I never personally seen one, but if it works I am all for it. Just taking my useual outspoken stand poitn to start with althouhg somehow my outspoken views are no longer outspoken round here too many new people

isometrics dont have to be just square triangle and rectangle...
they can be imperfect shapes made with the iso angles...
i didnt ask anyone to crit weather its ISO or not, i asked them to rate it for what it is.
If it is not drawn perfect following all iso rules it is not isometric. just using the same angles as an isometric picture doesn't make it isometric. If it did my exam would be way easier, all i'd need was isometric paper to draw the basic stuff and i'd get full marks.
but its not iso metric unless it does follow all the rules
