  1. Been very casually logging into Runescape over break, so I just now made it to the Hook Region. And oddly enough I was able to get a 10k Chime captain. (which I just had enough chimes for). I was very surprised as I had heard how rare these captains were, and was also under the impression that it wasn't even possible to get one until you go to The Scythe, which I guess isn't true.
  2. You just bumped a year old thread broski. Untradeable potions in familiars update hapened last month. Do you see the problem here?
  3. Does anyone know if you can still bank a couple thousand wines before the weekend starts and then when you log in you will get the 2.7 xp?
  4. I want to be able to open all my Cooking/Firemake effigys so I'm hoping to bank a couple thousand wines before bonus xp weekend starts and then get the 2.7 experience when I first log in. My question is, do you have to perfect banking the wines in time so they don't ferment? I.e. if you misclick will you have enough time to bank your wines before the ones in your bank ferment? Also, how many wines can you make per hour?
  5. Me and a friend are both starting out fresh at Conquest trying to get our deflector. We will be doing the resigning method to get each other's rank to 1250. (I will get my 1250 rank first by my friend resigning and then I will resign until my friend gets his rank) My question is, what is the most efficent amount of time to spend in each game to get rank/commedations? Also, will I get 150 commedations before reaching 1250 rank? Or will I have to play some Pest Control first so I can buy my deflector before tanking my rank.
  6. I can't believe you guys skip these. I get 500-600k a task (not including a whip vine drop) and 15-20 Blues a task. The Guards have a fairly high combat level (145) and go down pretty fast with a rapier so these are also pretty good effigy droppers. Not to mention the 15-20 Herblore Habitat Herb seeds you will get from the offering stone which is awesome for the amount of time it takes to do a task. The only negatives these have are the fact that they are un-agressive and they aren't one clickable. But if you take into account the solid steady profit (and the chance at a 4m drop + an Elite Clue) a solid effigy drop rate, 20 Blue charms per task, good Slayer xp per hour, and 100/140 HH herbs you would be crazy to skip these. But, if you aren't looking for any of these things by all mean skip them. Edit: I make Bolas from my Excrescense so I coun't that in my profit. If you don't bother picking those the cash would be halved.
  7. Thanks for the set-up Leik, that is really helpful. I do have a couple questions though. I don't have a CKS, what a DFS be the next best option? Also, are Dreadnips worth bringing here? And finally, since I don't have SS, how many more brews/not as many ovls should I bring?
  8. Thanks for all the helpeful advice. Would anyone mind posting a gear /yak setup?
  9. I'm trying to get money for Turmoil so I can finish out Slayer and start bossign and I was wondering what would be better, Frosts or DKS. My Stats: 93 Melees 97 HP 91 Mage 95 Range 80 Pray I have Overloads, a Yak, Rapier, Arcane Stream, Elite Void, Dreadnips, DT Gloves (Mage, Range and Melee helm) I'm leaning towards DKS, as I've done Frosts and they are really boring, but if Frosts are substantially better I will do those. I have actually never been to DKS, so what would be the best set up to Tri-brid in? Could I get away with using elite void and just switching helms for each King? Or would i get wrecked? Also, what would be the best set-up while using a Slayer Helm? I don't have a Chaotic C'bow, should I try to get that or would a Rune C'bow suffice? Last questions, I want to start doing K'ril for my Greater tasks and I was wondering what would be the best set up for him also. And finally, what would be better for K'ril, Leach Defense or Piety? Sorry for all the questions, but any help I could get on these would be really appreciated.
  10. wat There used to be 2 quests a month.. Than there only came 1 quest, but apparently the quality would be like "wgs" for most quests.. And now there's not even 1 quest. Maybe 1 every other month? - Really the old quests weren't 4 times as bad as the new ones.. The quality didn't rise proportional with the reduction in number. How many master/grandmaster quests were they putting out during those 2 quest per month times? The fact of the matter is, the game is evolving, and because of this the type of content being put out is changing from low level content to high level content. Do you want to go back to two experienced or novice rating quests a month instead of getting master quests and the occasional grandmaster?
  11. What's the max bones per hour you can get with a yak?
  12. Well I finally got my yak yesterday after 6 months of hoarding and I was wondering what are some of the uses for it. I know all the obvious uses of course, (bossing, dragons/demons, etc.), but what are some of the other uses a yak has when skilling and doing other general runescape things. Thanks in advance.
  13. This last trip just got me the charms needed for 96 Summoning on Bonus XP so I doubt I'll ever go back to wfs since I plan on getting 99 Summoning naturally from the charms for 89-99 Slayer. I plan on cancelling wfs on the way there since I don't need the charms and I despise them for all the attention and effort they require. Though, I might change my mind if I find the Iron Titan speeds things up a lot more. If anyone cares, my last wfs task I used SS and used the same set up I did in my original post except I used Overloads instead of extremes (Was trying them out, just had gotten 93 Herb) and got 250 Crimsons. So at your stats, SS is about as fast as rapier and so CM should be better? The SS outperformed the Rapier every trip using my set up and stats, but it was very close every time. I would assume that CM is better would be better than a Rapier, but I have no facts to back up.

  15. Ok. Do you have to be perfect in your clicking to get the next load of wines into your bank to reset your timer in time?
  16. Just to confirm, as you make the unfermented wine and deposit it in the bank the timer starts to countdown. After you withdraw more grapes and water and make more wine and deposit that in the bank then the timer resets? And once you logout the timer stops until you log back in and you get all the xp at once? So theoretically, you could make a couple thousand wines thurdsay and then once you log in on Friday you will get al the xp at once?
  17. Just did another run with Rapier but I used max gear instead. I used Elite void and replaced my glory and row with a fury and berserker ring. I got 210 Crimsons this time which is alot better than the first time. Saying that, I had a favorable crim rate (only 6 golds this trip) which is a lot less then I usually get. I wish i would have noted all my non-charms and non crims on previous trips to take luck out of the equation but oh well. I did the same trip with an SS and got 213 so I would assume that Rapier and SS are about equal when it comes to doing WFS here. Further testing would need to be done to prove this of course.
  18. Bonus XP is around the corner and I'm trying to decide what skills I'm going to train. Ok, the parameters. To start off I will log in and do my max tree run and then do circus if it is allowed this time. Then I'm going to make all my Juju Potions (100 of each herb). Once I use up all my multiplier I will use up all my charms and get my summoning from 92-96 to get my Yak, but before that I'm not sure what I'm going to do haha. Here are my levels; I just recycled my 85 dung pic because I'm too lazy to take another. I'm not doing Herblore as I've allready got Ovls and I just sold all my herbs for cool 40 M. I plan on doing all the achievement diarys (excpet Karajana because of 91 RC which will be trained through effiys, troll boks, etc)for the lamps and all the rewards that come with it. (Seers elite and all hard done) Levels needed: 86,85,83 Smith for Ardy,Fremmy, and Varrock Elite 77 Thieve for Ardy Elite 76,85,91 Fish for Ardy,Fally and Fremenik Elite 88, 90 Cook for Fally and Varrock Elite 75 mining for Fally Elite 80 Craft for Fremmy Elite 80,92 Firemake for Fremmy and Varrock Elite 85 Agil for Fremmy Elite 75, 78, and 82 RC for Ardy, Varrock and Fremmy diarys. (Might need lower levels depending on luck) 91 RC for Karajana Elite Which of these skill/combination of skills should I train during the weekend? I'm looking for the order that will save me the most time/anguish/money. Will be using the fastest (usually most expensive) method for whatever skill I do
  19. The vast majority of supplies will rise. You forget the fact that the vast majority of runescape does not fully read all of the updates/posts from Jagex. I can cite numerous players on this very thread that have stated that they didn't even read the post, and didn't learn of BXP until coming here. Prices should gradually rise until BTS or the formal announcement of what BXP entails (this time around). Prices are allready going down, and it's not like this announcement is coming out of nowhere. The vast majority of players knew this was coming and practically everyone stocked up on supplies. That coupled with the fact the demand is not what it was the last couple weekends will keep prices from going up a lot. I
  20. Just an fyi, if you are currently holding herb supplies don't expect prices to rise anytime soon. Just tried selling my stash of supplies and some don't even sell for GE price (super sets, papayas, etc.) I sold my Torstols for 48k this afternoon and they have allready dropped below 45k (maybe lower, havent checked recently), and i just sold my Lants for 6.8k each and my Dwarfs for 4.85k each. I still have sell offers in the ge for my avantoes and other certain herb supps, so welll see how the market works itself out. The problem is that almost everyone hoarded supplies in anticipation of the weekend and the people that are in the market for supps have alllready bought theirs. Increased supply and decreased demand=prices not exploding like last weekends.
  21. So, if I were to use a fury/imbued rign instead of a glory/row it would benefit the Rapier more then the SS? Even though they are both the same speed? Or are you just saying it needs to be tested becuase it could affect the two weapons differently?
  22. Not to sound ignorant or dumb, but if all the constants for both experiments are the same and the only variable that is different is the weapon, what does it matter? If I was on task I would still be getting the 15% using the CR that I would get using the SS. The same would be said for if I replaced a glory and row with a fury and imbued ring.
  23. I just did a triple charm trip with a CR and I got a lot less charms then I did with an SS. I got 180 Crimsons with CR and the previous 5 charm trips with and SS Ii had gotten 215-250 crimsons. Granted, this is a very small sample size but when I was doing the trip I could feel I was hitting a lot more ofteen then I did with SS. (sometimes 5-7 0 hits in a row, a couple of time the streak was longer) What I was using/Stats: 90 Melees 95 HP 90 Mage Rapier Piety Extremes Unicorn EEE for specs Nezzy helm, glory, karils, dragon boots, ardy cape 3, barrows gloves, d defender, row Used the same set up with SS
  24. Partly off-topic tip, but if you are looking for herb seeds you can get a good many from the offering stone in the jadinko lair. I used 290 points and got these seeds: 2 samaden, 2 shengo, 1 erzile, 1 argway, 1 kalfberry, 1 lergberry and 2 blossom seeds I think. What you MUST keep in mind is that the seeds you get is dependent on what is attracted in the Herblore habitat at the time you collect your seeds. For instance, if you have 0 Jadinkos attracted you will only get the low level fruit tree seeds. But, if you attract the Carrion Jadinko (what I attracted because I was looking for herb seeds) for example you will only get their drops, which is only herb seeds. Saying that, since Common Jadinkos are allways attracted when you attract another Jadinko you will also have access to their seed drop table. (hence the bush and flower seeds I got) The 290 Points where points I got from just trying out killing the Jadinko Males/Guards when they game out, so It is possible to get upwards of 1,000 points an hour here depending on what your doing to gain favor. Using this method you should be able to acquire LOTS of Herblore Habitat seeds and could make using them a viable training method.
