  1. While I'm sad to see SUOMI go, I'm also kind of glad that he decided to quit. I want to see someone get 200m in all skills, but the race got so boring after it became clear that no one could beat SUOMI unless he quit. It's up for grabs now, so at the very least, it will make this thread more interesting to follow. And of course, this is SUOMI's first burnout (or whatever else you'd like to call it). It's possible that he'll come back and finish up at some point; only time will tell.
  2. In my opinion, they should only raise the skill cap to 120 if (a) they have saturated levels 80-99 in all skills with content, (b) xp rates are considerably faster than they are currently from 99 on (or at least it would take significantly less time to reach 120 from 99), and © they have immediate plans to add content in the levels of 100-120 in all skills. Otherwise, it would be unnecessary (a), too advantageous for PvP and PvM (b), or utterly useless except for bragging rights/combat skills ©. I don't foresee them raising the skills cap for another few years, if they ever do. I'm not opposed to it, but we don't even have content up to level 99 in most skills, and it would be a massive grind to stay competitive if the xp rates aren't raised considerably.
  3. Flashback to RS 2006: What didn't we have? GWD, grandmaster quests, Summoning, Dungeoneering, Kuradal, ancient curses, extreme potions, Grand Exchange, 86+ slayer monsters, higher tier equipment than Barrows, etc... All of that not including faster skill training methods, since those are viewed as negatives by many 06 vets. GE and Dg are sometimes as well, but they're major changes that add more than faster xp so I chose to include them. I like all of those things a bit too much to be that nostalgic for RS 2006. Really, the best thing about it was no microtransactions, but you only need to go back 2 years for that.
  4. So not hardcore for SUOMI = 14 hours a day instead of 16? :P Seriously though, even playing 2-3 hours a day, he'll still finish 200m xp in all skills before anyone else (probably). And even if he quits completely, he still got way farther than anyone else has so far, so kudos for that. But still, I'd like to see him finish at some point.
  5. Then why is Telmo on the list? He's been inactive for months, if not over a year now.
  6. And did you also take into consideration if Elvis needs money? Also remember this, Jake isnt completely against the idea of donations to my knowledge. Elvis needs 6-7b less than Jake currently, so even if he doesn't have it currently, it shouldn't be as time consuming for him to get. Of course, if Jake gets 10b worth of donations, he'll be the clear favorite, which is entirely possible. For all I know, he might already have all the money he needs, I was just going off what I heard.
  7. Drumgun could be, if he decides that he does, in fact, want 200m slayer and farming. He would be my choice hands down if he already had nearly 200m slay and a strong start on farming. Assuming he doesn't go for it, I would bet on Elvis or Dragonseance. Jake's another possibility, of course, but unless he has a stack of cash hidden away somewhere, I think those two are more likely. We'll have to wait quite a while to see, at any rate, so new skills and faster xp rates could be factors.
  8. I'm sorry if it came across that way. Feel free to tell me if there is another way to measure it - I was simply saying what I could see as a viable option for determining the 'best' player. My reasoning is that while one's personality may be great, the nicest person every could play RuneScape and if they were inefficient, they simply would not be the best RuneScape player. What other ways to measure are there, save efficiency or total xp? You can measure the "best" scaper by whatever definition you choose, and thus, this is a pointless argument. I could say that, in my opinion, Castle Wars is the best scaper because he was the first to achieve a trimmed completionist cape. Also, efficiency (at least as I understand it) is only a measure of how effectively you achieve your goals. So, a person who was the nicest ever would be very efficient, if being the nicest player was his/her goal. In relation to this thread though, being about players reaching 200m xp in all skills, you probably would need to define "best" by gameplay hours remaining to 200m in all skills. However, you could put as many restrictions on that as you want to in your definition of "best", from no exploiting glitches (which I believe is a given), to no accepting donations, to doing the whole thing DIY style. Depending on how you restrict it, SUOMI may or may not be the best scaper.
  9. I'm about to start my second semester at university, and I still play because it's a way to kill time without being subject to a strict schedule. Mainly I play on breaks and a tiny bit when I can during the academic year. It's familiar, and I've come fairly close to maxing, which has been a goal of mine for a long time. Once I achieve that, I doubt I'll continue playing, with the exception of the occasional log in and quests.
  10. Elias "officially" went inactive? SUOMI's losing most of his competition lol.
