Correction: It was Forum Games. But yeah, I believe it was eventually shut down for a combination of spam and something else, but mostly spam. After that, FG began really declining because most FGer residents were there for LOTPW. Guess that thread was its biggest appeal.

LOTPW was more or less 85% Seinfeldian Conversations (look up TV Tropes to know what I mean, or ask Alg), 10% Cat gifs, 4% other gifs, and 1% spam.

I got 99 slayer back in 2009 on the week Swine Flu was making the news. I think I was in the first 3200-3300 rank or so then. Hard to recall the placement though, but I did remember the macabre bit of trivia I always provide when bringing up the achievement of my fifth 99.

LOTPW is way bigger, but it's locked. And there is no way ISE will ever match its size. And LOTPW has been locked since Feb 2012 I think.
