Rohan's Blog: Bossing, Maxing, Titles
I haven't technically trained Div yet and from what I hear about exp rates I want to keep it that way for as long as I can :-P Only managed to get 1.385/2.8m bxp this weekend which is a little disappointing. At least fishing is pretty afk... Latest level: And I think I might put of slayer until this happens.

Master Skillcapes & Combat Improvements
I'm happy 120 capes have been released, it's nice to have some sort of reward for training skills past 99.

#12 Did some calculations and discovered I need to spend 535m in order to max Buyables. There goes my Ascensions and H'ween mask :( Also I'm not sure how much I'll be able to play in the next couple of months. I'm starting a new job on Mon and there's 8 weeks training with some horrible commute times. I may shelf Slayer as bossing requires too much prep!

I've been able to get games on world 2 pretty consistently. I would say its worth it, once you get used to it you get around 100 points a game (which doubles with a daily allowance) and the tickets are 30 points each. When you have the ticket in your invent and you get a task from a Slayer Master you can still choose the default task which does not use up a token either. And you're right about maxing, it takes so long and is so damned expensive :( I'm currently on a QBD task however I wanted to finish watching Game of Thrones so I did some skilling instead:

Hilt sold for 1.35m, how the mighty Godswords have fallen  Been no lifing a fair bit, got 94 Slayer: Here's the notable loot from 93-94: I spent some money on a Red H'ween as well simply because I want rares again. I understand I should probably have spent the money on nex sets but I've lost bank thanks to my connection and Jagex servers in the past so I'm too scared to use em. That and spending hundreds of mil on armour is boring :-w Finally:

Thanks, part of me wants to ditch maxing altogether and perhaps go for 120 Slayer, been enjoying it! Been a bit busy recently but I managed to complete Fate of the Gods which was great (although Freneskae sucked at 5fps) and have done a couple of tasks. Might hit 92 Slayer tonight which will be a nice milestone and I should hopefully have a tier 3 helm soon as well.

Future Update Discussions
As some one who never particularly enjoyed quests (I mainly did them for the rewards not the content itself) I have a bit of a different view point to this. I assume by DIY quests the Podcast is talking about the more traditional approach to quests where you glob trotted all over the map to complete objectives dependent on your skills and/or what you have in your invent and the self contained quests are more akin to 'The World Wakes', 'Missing Presumed Dead' and 'Fate of the Gods'. Now personally I absolutely despise these DIY quests and never felt particularly immersed doing them because I felt like all I was doing was pointless filler or banking because I forgot a chisel. Let's take WGS for example. WGS had a great story which I thoroughly enjoyed but my god did that quest drag on! Instead of actually fighting Lucien I was: Hunting glorified pigs Faffing about with rose tinted lenses and super herbs Hope you've got Lunars on! Actually you need to be back to your normal spell book lol Think you've found the stone of Jas? Hope you've brought your sickle and Druid pouches for some more faffing! Nothing broke the immersion more for me than getting to a really important point of a quest then having to draw a circle on the floor because I forgot one key item. 'Oh the stone of Jas is actually here? Oh wait, need to fetch a sickle, brb!' Now I under stand a lot of people do enjoy this kind of quest and I can see merits to it however DIY quests really aren't for me. On the flip side however I have been really enjoying the self contained quests. The story is constantly progressing, the parts where you interact are puzzles and combat instead of some random collection objective and Key items are available at hand so there's hardly any need to bank. The only time I had to bank in FotG's was when I had been bested in combat, not because I got to the end of Frenskae to find I had forgotten to bring Zaros a pot of rose fragrant flour.

So I'm back after another break and have decided to beeline 99 Slayer. Here are some levels: And I totally got 99 Construction over bxp but forgot to take a pic of it. No way would I waste 90m on supplies I wouldn't use. Oh and I want 120 Str for fashionscape so that's a sort of passive goal I'm going for.
