Thanks the heads up, I don't really care all that much for those outfits but I picked them up anyway just because I can. :P

I like Excalibur and Enhanced Excalibur :P It's cool because 1h melee weapons override butterfly net, so when I try to catch implings I'm just swinging my sword at them. Really making a killing with those Crystal Implings, maybe I should try and world hop to catch a bunch of them and get insane GP/hour.

Finished the last story mission finally, lol. 55% with Merchant and FotS first try so that's nice. Also my crew sucks. It gave me -just- enough chi and I already had over 100 Plate so it gave me more than enough. Too bad I'll never ever use them, but now the collection is complete and it looks cool. (I'm still "trying" to get a 35k Combat captain, and some other 35k one for my first ship.)

Sooooo awesome Been wanting that bow for a while, couldn't find anything else that looked this good. So I looked it up and figured out it was part of Spirit Hunter outfit that costs 600 Runecoins (rip) 3 Bonds being 585 Runecoins, and I had 14 Runecoins leftover from previous stuff, so I'd be stuck at 599 but Jagex is kind and gave me the last one for free. So I sold stuff and scraped the money for bonds, then when I went to buy it I realized it came with the walk animation so I was like, niiiiice. Never noticed that when I looked it up on the wiki. Kind of a nice surprise since I was initially buying this just for the bow, lol. I don't even like the outfit. It looks kinda funny with a 2h sword, and not bad at all with a staff, but it looks so beastly with a bow though.

;) Could probably be a lot faster if I was online more and paying more attention but eh.

Honestly the exp doesn't matter so much to me. I'll just happen to get 120/200M and I'll still be doing it even after 200M. It's just such a nice and easy way to get afk money for bonds every two weeks, and it's arguably the best source of Hard and Elite clues. Then at some point I'll maybe hopefully get the pet, but if I don't then oh well. I'm definitely bound to get it eventually but it's not really my goal. :P Finished getting my 200 stack of Biscuits though.

Funny part is, it actually changed every so often. I have another screenshot taken a few minutes later, still in the same area, where it looked different. Not even leaving and reloading the area, I was there the whole time and it kept changing. I wasn't paying enough attention to it so I'm not sure if it kept slowly moving, or if the texture just abruptly changed every so often.

What's up with this pillar?

You spend a looooooooooooot of time explaining really basic stuff about the game. This isn't a bad thing for people who know nothing about the game and are more or less just starting out, or interested in starting out, but most people who would watch already play the game and already knows all of that stuff. Instead of making one episode a day, I'd say you should probably make an episode every several days when you have more progress, so more to talk about that can be condensed into one episode. That'll make for a much shorter series, but the episodes should be more interesting.

Right ok. Just because they (might) have money for it doesn't mean it would be worth it at all to spend it on that. You know, Classic was a fairly small browser-based Java game that only existed for ~3 years. This was the very early stages of Runescape and they didn't have much to lose by rewriting it into RS2. RS2 has now existed since 2004. 12 years of updates and content updates, stacked on top of each other. Loads of spaghetti code. And you suggest that they should just rewrite the whole thing? What do they stand to gain from that? The game works well enough as-is. Some things could definitely be improved in the engine, but at this point the work:benefit ratio isn't really worth it anymore. There's a reason they have to take months before they can even rework the bank interface... and you're suggesting they do this to the entire game. Meditate on this.

You mean why didn't they spend the hundreds and thousands of man hours rewriting a 12-year old game from the ground up for comparatively very little gain? I'm not sure you realize how much work this would have been.

I don't think those outfits are something that a player should be expected to have by the time they reach 70, though. 70-99 has already been designed without the outfits in mind. The skills should be good on their own while the outfits are just a bonus you can get; something that not everyone will have unless they put in all the time to get them, and if you don't have any plans to continue past 99, you don't -need- the outfits anyway. My main issue with it is that they made it an Invention thing... like it doesn't really make much sense honestly. What about these outfits says "Invention" in any way? Invention failed and doesn't have enough content so they just throw everything into it even if it makes no sense.

Yeah, I guess if it's a random drop while skilling, at least it's something you get by doing your normal stuff, and not something you have to go out of your way to get. It would be fun if they had to be crafted in some way, though, but I guess none of the skills that have elite skilling outfits really have much space for that since they are -mostly- gathering (except Dungeoneering I guess.) That being said, they could still add other skill requirements, like what if the golem outfit required Smithing? If Thieving outfit required Crafting (and lots of Dark Kebbit fur? :P) Or if the ethereal outfit could require Mining to obtain raw materials for it, and then the set has to be crafted through Runecrafting. This would be more fun than "sit there training that skill and maybe it'll randomly appear in your bags out of the blue." :P

In case some haven't seen this already (haven't seen it mentioned here) :arrow: Source Seems nice, hopefully it's not just a RNG thing with a stupidly low obtain rate like 0.002% or something that would take years to complete. I like the way Ports gear is obtained, takes a while to obtain, but it's not stupidly rare, and you work towards it. Hopefully they add some stuff so we can obtain materials and actually craft the outfits after a few months at high levels, not just random drops like pets. Still gives people with lots of irl money to spend -somewhat- of an advantage since they can just throw money at the screen and have it all really early at lower skill levels but at least this is a step in the right direction. Because right now, the people who have the money to spend on it would have the outfits with all the advantages, and then they'll be the only ones to have them because they're not obtainable anymore, this at least makes it possible to catch up to them. :P Not that I personally care if some other people have access to those bonuses and I don't, but eh... it just bothered me that the outfits were literally unobtainable after the promo. I would have been happy with them remaining as rare prizes on Treasure Hunter, so I could eventually get them by being lucky, but this is even better.
